I promised myself to come back and say thank you after being successful in my interview process, here I am very GRATEFUL for the insights you offered as I was preparing in the various stages. I just signed my offer letter with an FMCG company, I start next week, God richly bless you and keep at it 🤗 Oh and the question on, what's your yardstick of success in 1 or 2 years time, at the end of the interview, really impressed the hiring manager. Let me tell you this, Andy… I’m in the middle of an interviewing process right now, having yesterday negotiated my salary after receiving the job offer using your knowledgeable inputs and I’m feeling positive about the outcome. Now, each video/content I consume from you makes me feel more empowered within the process. And I glad that today, before the hiring person takes what we’ve discussed yesterday to the decision-makers I will still be able to reinforce my unique value. And guess what?! Today I was contacted for a ‘quick chat’ with one of the Executives. They said ‘it can be a phone call’, but I was so confident to use your inputs that I said ‘I rather come in person’! I’ve now accepted their revised offer with a 9% increase on the base salary, plus 5% annual bonus and an open door to take on a higher position in the next 18-24 months. Can’t thank you enough, Andy! 🙌🏽

Very strong strategy. A friend years ago, told me, don't sell your product, sell how your product is a solution. What are their issues and how can you help with that. This fits right in with this.

Andy, level with me. Why is it that companies are posting jobs then sending turn down emails within hours of receiving the resume? These are positions I am well qualified for and have experience in. This has happened to me for months, and I know it is not a coincidence. There is something else at play. If my resume isn't being considered, then what exactly is? The few times I have been outreached by a recruiter, I've been subsequently ghosted. I honestly don't know what employers are looking for anymore. Fast food jobs are paying $20+ per hour...plus tips! The ten years specialized experience I have seems worthless. Recruiters and management expect a level of professionalism, responsiveness and integrity that they themselves don't have. There is no excuse for ghosting, period. I recently had an interview arranged through a staffing agency and the company who retained the staffing agency confirmed my interview, then ghosted me: never even showed up for the video interview. I also take offense to being profiled with every resume I put in. This is supposed to be about doing a job, not about what boxes we check (and I am multi-racial).

Treat job offers like buying a car. Be firm in your demands and if they won't budge do not be afraid to walk away.
