I’ve seen ppl complain about that in comment sections saying it’s unrealistic and cheesy etc. Even on rebuilds that don’t say realistic, but I only watch 1-2 other 2K YT’ers so it’s prolly just their comment section. This one is seemingly more chill than most on YT, don’t think many would care. Especially since he makes it very clear it’s not supposed to be realistic. But ya it definitely helps. 2K is a bad game so it usually doesn’t make much diff in their interest in signing, (unless it’s a guy you need to give a supermax + NTC to have a chance at getting them) even tho it lowers their contract by 8 figures. Sometimes mid-high 8 figures 😂

I just realized not only do they get best of DAL/PHX in 2029, they then can swap their own pick for the worst of those two picks also lmao. I literally cannot remember ever seeing that and I’m a pretty big nerd with this stuff. Obviously best of picks is common, but to ALSO be able to swap for the other one if you want is hilarious. It’s obv unlikely that BOTH DAL & PHX are worse than HOU in ‘29, but you never know. Why not take it if you can get it! Solid chance PHX is bad, and DAL basically owes every pick out right now. They also don’t have a bunch of really young talent or anything beside Lively. I’d love to know when the last time there was a pick structured like this where it’s best of two picks, then swap rights to the other one. Pretty massive upside.

HOU can swap its pick or OKC’s pick for PHX’s pick. OKC can swap its own pick with LAC OR HOU (T10 protected) so if HOU gets say pick 12, LAC pick 14, OKC pick 25…OKC would swap 25 for 12. Then HOU would swap 25 for PHX’s 1st assuming it’s better than 25. They got 2027 PHX unprotected 1st, best of DAL/PHX in 2029, AND swap rights for whichever of the DAL/PHX pick is worse in ‘29. They still own BKN swap in ‘27…but they do owe their ‘26 1st T4 protected to OKC.
