My mom used to African thread my hair all the time, that's the only hairstyle she did well on me 😂😂😂😂😂, now I can't even get her to help part my hair 😭😭😭
This reminded me that it’s been 4 years for me. 3•15•15!!! Our dates were so close...I was like wait- it hasn’t been 4 years yet! But it has. I’ve live stretching my hair but never did this type before
Try color wax so it does not damage your hair , I would avoid the flat iron, but try maybe try using a blow dryer once in a while or bantu knots for a style change
Aw man! You bring back soooo many memories. My mother used to do this to mine and her hair weekly. We didn't have to worry about inches cuz we saw them. The shrinkage struggled was nearly non-existent since no one focused on hair typing. I'm so mad at the $$$ I've wasted on hair products. She just needed a comb, water, yarn, grease a pair scissors and our hair was always long and healthy. My favorite part was pulling off the yarn like you did @ 4:26 only to discover is was STILL moisturized. Ma behind going back to simple things. 5:09 I remember that Specific THREAD! 😂😂
Hi sis ...i have watch some of your videos and am proud of seeing my fellow Ghanaian sis taking us back to our root...my is June 24 2014 also...thanks 4 sharing with us 👊
Heeeeyyyy Philo!! Yes it has been a while! How’ve you’ve been sis? Hope you’re doing well. Damn I’m shocked it’s already been 5 years?!?! Wooooowwwww!! I see you with the innnccchhheeesssd👀👀👀 ugh please I beg don’t make me jealous ugh! African threading - the originally GOAT of stretching our hair cuz my girl - Shriiinnkkkaaagggeeeee. Anyways you already know haha Love ya always and this video 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️😉😉😉 ye wo krom nooooowww🇬🇭✨
*Simply beautiful* I want to try this sooo bad but I have fine 4b/c hair and I’m afraid of it breaking my hair off. I did a rubber-band style and it broke my hair sooo bad, I used the clear bands. *How do you get the sections to bend so you can wear a wig or hair wrap?*
Philo love your hair girl I been following you right along with your journey am 4 1/2 years and you Inspire me a lot one from your channel. Color or straighten either one I'll still love it.
I really thought you were going to straighten your hair 😭. Your hair is beautiful 😍😍. I’m still waiting for you to straighten your hair so please do it 🤗🤗
Oh my God I held my breath when you started ironing your hair. The next stage after ironing is second big chop because heat protection is not 100 percent good. I am talking from experience. You have an envious hair. Please don't flat iron. Continue with threading because our hair is not meant to tolerate ironing. I am one year post relaxer and hope my hair will get to your length soon.
I need to learn how to African thread my hair! I agree leave your hair alone and it will grow! I tell folk this all the time they think I drink a magic potion for healthy hair -_- lol. Healthy hair is easy to achieve. Keep it clean , moisturised and protected.
Beautiful! Was your hair already blow dried before it was threaded? Also, I usually have trouble with dryness when I do threading. I wash and moisturize it really well but it always happens. What is the trick?
Honestly I relate with your videos because we have similar hair textures and I shed very easily. But damn! Your hair looks nice and 💪💪 to African threading.
What type of thread do you use? Is it elastic or stretchy bc I’m afraid that weave thread would cause breakage on my daughters hair. (Which is so fragile)
Hey Philo! What flat iron was that because it was making some strange noises? Did it have vibrating plates or something?🤔 We have similar texture. Ooh, ooh I know!🙋🏿♀️ Don't straighten it and don't dye it BUT try some 💣💣 hair color wax or whatever they call it. Would you ever go blue 💙? 💜? I'm interested to see what you would decide. Until next time....✊🏿💖💖💖💖✊🏿
Philooo😘😍 m'afe wo paa! 🇬🇭U look awesome! Please don't do anything to dat hair ooo, kip it natural, maybe try faux locs or some easy & simple yet protective everyday styles. Can u please make a video of wat to do if ur hair isn't growing, like it's jammed, stuck in one placed for so long😭. My hair texture is similar to yours bt instead of growing it's just getting thicker😏
Idk but she kinda sounded like one of my aunties towards the end that accent went away for a minute 😂. Love you girl 😘 Color it, I guess u could straighten it tho....
