Never tried MSM. I take Nature's Way Alive Once Daily Women's Ultra Potency vitamins and they're excellent for me. They have iron, zinc, vitamin D, fruit and veggie power blend etc. The only thing is the tablet is large so if you're not good at swallowing large tablets it might not be for you. They make gummies but I don't think the gummies have iron, can't remember exactly.

MSM is wonderful! I take it in powder/crystal form. You will not only notice hair growth but your joints will feel better, and your skin will be glowing. My skin has never looked better. MSM is definitely a game changer.

@@luvleeable Hi, I have a question, I take Nature made multi complete vitamins And it is pretty good. My question is whenever I take it which is once daily. I am now getting an annoying chest pain, I stop taking them and the pain went away. I am going to try taking it again starting tomorrow, and see if the pain returns... Do you have that experience with the vitamins that you take?

I have extremely long hair that I honestly need to cut bc half has fallen out, especially around the front and when I lose a long hair I'm always in disbelief that that hair was with me when I was pregnant w my 8 year old! Meanwhile, the front of my head is in its infancy, again😂

I’ll try Zinc. I also know it’s necessary to drink plenty of water to ensure the nutrients absorb well. I personally get in a gallon a day. MSM is what I’m sure you meant. 🤣 It works. Biotin does too. Thanks so much for sharing.

I’m so glad your hair is growing back. I definitely agree with the caps having a negative impact. When I am home I let my hair breathe by not constantly wearing the cap and making sure my hair is not completely dry. Diet is also important, we need to be cognizant of the foods we put in our system. I know we are all home, but we need to continue to be mindful to not fill our bodies with unhealthy foods.

Always take vitamin C with your other vitamins/products as it helps it absorb better in your system. I prefer vitamin C in the powder form

Been watching your videos since youtube put 1 in my recommendations. I love your personality and so glad you're edges are coming back! Deficiency is real. I find that when I'm deficient in iron my hair and nails grow less. I need satin pillow cases because I hate bonnets and scarves, they make my scalp too hot lol

So Ms Rona saved my edges without even knowing it. Started taking zinc and vitamins c to help boost my immune system during this pandemic and noticed some growth around the problem area but wasn't sure what it was...now I understand. Let me go and re-stock

I just started taking zinc for basically the same reason. But also for a boost to immune system and sleep regulation. I have always loved raw peanuts but gave them up when I found out they can cause leaky gut, which can lead to zinc deficiency. Seems like you not only have to figure out how to get what you need but also figure out how to keep what you've got. Heres wishing us all thicker hair and better dreams

So glad your edges are growing back. It’s good to see the progress after 2 weeks! I’ve noticed mine growing too after about 3 weeks of taking biotin and using Jamaican black castor oil at least 3 times a week. I noticed them thinning from wearing wigs. I’m going to try zinc since you have mentioned it and since I’ve seen rapid results with your edges. I hope to see continued growth from both of us. Oh, yesss...I’ve told my daughter to stop relying on the bonnets. She wouldn’t listen, so I played that part of your video to her...Thanks for sharing with us!

Yes yes yes! I was sick and started upping my water intake and taking Emergen C and Cold Eze (not at the same time) but they both have a higher amount of zinc and my hair has been flourishing. I am in NYC and still have done telehealth appointments for certain things.

If you want to apply zinc topically, you can just buy diaper rash cream lol. I know it's weird, but the active ingredient is zinc oxide.

Hi Filo, I added to play off on the layering gel on your edges. It was supposed to prevent drying and breakage. Try that. Do not stress. Love your edges and always tell it, its beautiful and it will grow whenever you're taking care of it. Prayer make a big difference too.

Glad you're seeing progress with your edges. I've dealt with hair loss on and off for years. The one thing that always worked for me was Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I take it in capsule form (easier for me). Sometimes I can't keep up with how fast and thick my hair grows.

Great video, thank you! I don't have the hair texture of a black person so it may be different, but for me I loathe those bonnets! Instead I have a satin hair wrap that is very adjustable and I love it! It covers my edges for sure but more importantly, it holds tight against your head so that your hair isn't getting all tangled in a baggy bonnet and it's more comfortable. I tried the pillow cases and they just slid everywhere(even off the pillow) so I tried the wrap and it's been amazing! My edges are coming back and the breakage/tangling in the back of my head has stopped completely! Zinc has also been helpful for me, along w Progesterone and dealing w demodex :)

I started using zinc as well!! And I’ve seen some growth in my edges. I also use oil to make sure they start moisturized. Edit: that’s right! My bonnet never stays on my head!

Girl faaaaacts with the bonnets! I've been using this bonnet for the past few months because I bought it from a black-owned business. It's sooo cute but I noted that the elastic is SUEER tight and my edges are suffering! I'm definitely gonna go back to my silk pillowcase (and I'll buy the satin one that you release!)

Your edges are growing in nicely. Its MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), and yes it works wonders for hair. I take it in pill form along with Collagen and my one a day vitamin that has with iron, biotin, and Vitamin C and my entire body feel wonderful. The women's one a day multivitamins have Vitamin B, C, and D with Iron, Zinc, and Biotin in them. I was losing my hairline too and I've been taking those for a week now. I totally recommend those for anyone looking for all those ingredients plus more!

7:01 yep I had to stop wearing mine bc my edges came out in March. So I did an experiment(stop wearing them all of April) to see if it was the bonnet. And just like that my edges are back so I definitely and strongly agree with that. Although 🤔 it doesnt do that to my daughter humm 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

wear a satin durag to sleep, i cornrow my hair loosely then wear one. it doesn't have a hem, can fit your whole head, even your ears and doesn't slide off to snag your edges

Same here. I too stopped with the bonnet and my nape starting growing back. Decided to go back to the bonnet and the same thing happened again. I am now convinced that wearing a bonnet snags at your hair line.

A satin bonnet will make a world of a difference and is good for all hair type and/or hair porosity

@@moniqueslatton6285 I think it's more to do with the elastic in the bonet that affects the edges. So even if it is a satin bonnet the elastic band inside is what causes the issue especially for those whose edges are quite sensitive

Your so pretty hun, your edges are looking good!! satin is prob made from polyester which is made from plastic!! I had to get silk one but its too soft, have to wear another one on top!! I mentioned it in one of my videos!!

Wrap your edges in a silk/satin scarf, then put your bonnet on to protect your ends/remaining exposed hair. The same thing happened to my edges when I started wearing a bonnet

I completely agree in regards to X’ing out satin bonnets. I think they’re good for when you’ve done something to your hair that may rub off on your pillow or your clothes, other than that the pillow case is the goat. Sooo you gonna come out with some bonnets was or nah 👀

Silk pillow cases are great but I still need to wrap my hair for my facial skin sake..I have.less breakouts when I wrap my hair to bed .. has anyone else experienced this?

qmina1 Yes if the oils from your hair are constantly getting into your skin you’re going to start having breakouts… I wrap my hair even though I have a silk pillowcase I just wrapped it very lightly

I have tried so many satin pillowcases, I can’t wear bonnets because they hurt my head, I have yet to find a comfortable satin pillowcase and can’t afford silk. I will definitely be buying your pillowcases.

6:19 you are right about that I bought one out the hair section from Target and I hate it it is soo hard... so then 😄 I go and buy another one from Target 😄cause it was on sale(normally $11 on sale for $6) annnd it was waayyy better much softer but I need more cause I have 4 more pillows on my bed 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️😄

@@naturallyphilo Yesoooo my naturally sis, I do! 😃 I take prenatal 3 days per week and the other days I take the One A Day Women's multivitamin (orange bottle) like twice a day....for the sake of drinking coffee almost every morning. I learned that from ya stylist Tamika. I swear Yll 2 are my current life savers!!😉👍

A lot of factors goes into taking zinc. First it’s best to take best form of zinc , such as picolinate . When to take it and foods to avoid taking with zinc which will affect absorption.i think it’s the massaging that gave the quick results. It takes several weeks to notice full benefits
