I've shot 3 deer with a .45-70 & 2 with a. 450 Bushmaster and haven't had to track one yet. I just ordered a barrel, bcg and a stripped upper reciever today in 50 Beowulf.
Yes, that final shot that was on video was all that was needed to put it down. It expired in about 15 seconds. That movement you see as I'm walking up to it is simply a few after death spasms which are very common. Thanks for watching!
How is that deer still alive with 2 shots of 50 Beo I’ve seen deer get dropped in their track with a 243 my bet is bad shot placement seeing how what looks like guts are on the ground
No guts. you can actually see the first shot in the shoulder as I walk up to it. if you watched the first video (part 1) and read the description, you will see my comment and opinion on the performance of the 50 Beo. Although I like the gun, I am just not that impressed with it's results (at least on deer). A 243 bullet is traveling at almost twice the velocity of the 50 Beo and does a tremendous amount of damage. To compare the two is not reasonable. The wound channel created by a high velocity round such as a 243 is devastating. by comparison, the 50 Beo has less velocity and energy than a 12 ga Hornady SST slug.
