I made a mistake by not actually showing the pamphlets. The ones I've used a lot of are: - Small Game Arrows - Express Explosive - Incendiary Buckshot - Explosive Slug - Dynamite Arrow I've had to resort to small game arrows many times when I've ran out of ammo for the varmint rifle and explosive ammo is because I'm a bad player. The cost of killing a griefer with explosive ammo is priceless and just gives me the upper hand. It's still up to you if you buy into anything, I know I've definitely made my money back on these purchases. Things like tonics can all be looted so if you loot enemies you probably don't need those pamphlets, if you're not looting enemies you might need those pamphlets.
I'd add one to tip 10 the Lancaster Repeater, it lets you get clean kills on animals like fixes and I think wolves. animals around that size say to use the repeater, and it is quite good, great ammo capacity, good damage, and fast firerate. plus accuracy and satisfaction with the lever action
Tip 51: When in a delivery mission, get to the finish area for the delivery, but do not enter the area. Wait till about 30 seconds left when the timer turns red, and then turn it in. For some reason you get more money for being slower instead of quicker, but it works. I suggest do the same with bounties
Been doing this, and then some asshat appears when the time just passed like 3 mins and I had to enter the area for fearing they might attack. God, why cant Rockstar make private lobby like in GTA V, I hate these griefers
Similar, though due to not playing RDO on a regular basis, I hang around 20k at the moment. And that's the thing, if you stick to this mindset you can easily get the money for everything you may want to get, even as the most casual of casual players with a limited time budget. And the same rules apply for GTA Online as well. Important to note is: you don't have to have everything, stick with the stuff you actually want.
Better guns, better horse & tack, you'd think it was obvious that these things are going to help you make money quicker but some people just want to have several outfits.
@@ziploc2000 Problem with guns is, that if you are new and are not following any guide or don't have a helpful buddy, you don't really know what is worth more or less. In addition to that, people have very different playstyles. I for myself have a ranged setup with double pistol. Whether that is THE best competetitive setup there is or not doesn't matter, it's just that this setup suits my playstyle best. (With the occasional shotgun. Everyone should have a shotgun, it's just too useful to ignore) And that's something people have to find out for themselves. I just wish R* would implement for both GTAO and RDO that you can sell weapons again. Or lose them permanently. I boght some stuff only to test it out and never touched it again afterwards. Horses on the other hand can largely be ignored until you can actually get a high tier one. And even then the differences between horses are not significant enough so that the casual player, which I hope we all to some degree are, would have to care too much for the "best" horse. (Again, I would wish for R* to add a bit more variety to horses. For me it already would be enough if we had more "colorations" for each horse on every tier available. But that' just a visual thing.) I don't know, I have nothing against people getting outfits before they get other stuff that is technically more useful. They should be just stopped from buying clothing with gold in the beginning. Or at least until they have gotten themselves the Bounty Hunter role. Which is the single thing I would argue would be important to get as soon as possible. It also allows to take part in a rather casual gameplay loop that is a lot of fun especially in a group.
I whish I concentrate on gold grined I have low gold well as it stands 92 gold bars did have alot more but spent alot of gold lately on stuff. 185000 cash and all stuff in the game I grineded hard for it whish I spent more time on the gold grind but hay hoe live and learn but if these prices are true 400 gold bars for a masons I wouldn't even entertain spending that just for show I happey in my camp and always well be unless I'm forced out of it is mad thow cos now some hard core players who have hundreds of thousands dollars and thousands of gold bars I thought I was doing well just a little fish ina big pond 😂
Pro tip: Buy the nacadoges saddle before buying a new horse. It is amazing how powerful that saddle is, and it basically makes the stamina bar infinite, regardless of how bad the horse may be.
Tip 51: After you sedate and sample a Legendary Animal in Free Rome, you can kill it and donate the carcass to Cripps (provided the animal is small to medium so you can pick it up).
Don’t waste your time trying to gather a full collection of coins and jewelry. It will take you forever to find a full set, since the huge naturalist nerf!

Not a bad guide,good for beginners but I do disagree on the horses, not saying the lvl 20 horses are not worth it but there are a lot of lower tier horses that are just as good as the top horses. Speed and acceleration difference is minimal between them, you are mainly paying for what the horse looks like.
@@Gangster0326 the speed and acceleration of basically all the horses are separated by literally seconds, over long distance timed rides the cheapest horse and the most expensive black Arabian is two to four seconds in overall times, having lvl4 bonding with the Nacadoches saddle with hooded stirrups is what helps the most. The core drain rate of both of those helps all stats-speed stamina Temperament is luck of the draw, sometimes the same horse will be skittish, next one will be a rock. Most of what makes a good horse is what you like mainly, small frames, big horses, its mainly cosmetic. Personally I like the more patterned horses, appaloosa, paints, nakotas, middle tiers- fox trotter is good. Basically what horse color you like is the main difference, there is like i said minimal difference between them all.

Its to hard to earn gold in this game, players are saying. Two seconds later they show you the middle finger, take a zip of their Nevin hipflask and shoot you in the head with a golden Lancaster. You have 43 gold bars right there. Lesson for a new player, dont use gold on emotes and other stupid things, when you could have saved it for a update.
This is a really good tip. I got my outfit spot on but my face is wrong even after using my free change. Somehow looks different in the game than in the creation screens.

As far as I get it, the legendary animal spawns work in a certain way: once you found an animal of a certain species (free roam or mission), you get a 72 hour real life cooldown on that species. When you keep track of that, it's really easy to find the ones needed. Especially in the empty sessions 😁
Justin Schmitt you say that but me and my friend were in the same posse and I got and killed the snow buck when he was with me. Five minutes later he got and killed it and a couple of hours later I got the mud runner buck. It might have been how it worked for you but I’m pretty sure you’ve not figured out the algorithm 🤣
@@slayingroosters4355 There is one working theory that I have--it seems that legendary spawns are actually tied to both certain time windows and weather conditions, as well as random free roam encounters. But take this with a grain of salt; I'm not 100% sure that's actually the case
Taxton yeah as they say in there description they are more likely to spawn in certain conditions but almost everyone will still spawn out of those conditions in my opinion. There are ones that are supposed to like dry nights that I’ve found on wet days and vice versa but it definitely seems more likely to spawn within the time it’s supposed to.

Great vid but I disagree: Collector first then Bounty hunter. And here is why: When you first start playing you will log on every day and get some at the very least one of the easy daily challenges completed. That's how you earn your gold to begin with, by building a streak and getting gold that way. The collector will net you $2106 for turning in/selling two lots of all four tarot cards and you will, whilst doing that collect other items. Sell the duplicates and the two lots of complete sets and you will be level 20 collector at this point. You can then continue your daily challenge streak for the gold and go for the bounty hunter which will earn even more gold. The cash you have earned whilst collecting will allow you to buy and upgrade your choice of weapons and or a horse to help you bounty hunt sucessfully! Again, great vid but I had to put my tuppence in. It worked for me!

I just started playing this week! so addicted, but also so frustrated that this game doesn't really show you how to be successful. Hows your character doing? I am gonna start bounty hunting finally to get some gold. any suggestions for me on what you would have done differently?
I'm doing bounty hunting, it's awesome sometimes a bit hard but you get around almost 1-2 gold bars and around 9-16 dollars I think, I'm level 4 and have 5 good bars for it
I agree with nearly everyone of these tips. However, I've been playing since December 2018 and I've learned that focusing on gold is the most important tip. I have almost 1000 gold and I have everything I want and need and I've maxed out all of the roles. I do a daily challenge every morning and earn .5 gold each challenge. I've lost my streak a few times, but it's worth doing a challenge every day whenever possible. Also, unless it's a role or an Outlaw Pass don't spend gold on items. It's not worth it.
about prioritizing gold, that depends, ppl who are very young and unemployed might have to hold on dearly to their gold, but ppl who can go take a dump at work, while under working hours, getting paid for that toilet visit, do that a couple of times a week and uv earned urself a small gold purchase ,no biggie..pimping ur guns costs gold, and it is worth it,its meant to be spent,and daily challenges are a chore XD

I just passed 1k gold on Sunday, it is not hard to get gold. Like you said do a daily challenge everyday to get that multiplier up to .5 and then it adds up quick. There are always 2-3 daily challenges that take less time then it takes to load into the game. I do anywhere between 3-5 challenges a day and then the 2 days a week I do play, I try to knock out all 9 role challenges and all the general challenges for the bonus when you do. And 100% agree on don't spend gold on anything unless it's a role or pass.
I sell individual items t Madam Nazar when I get over 5 of anything except flowers (moonshine recipes) and Antique Alcohol (daily challenge drinking). Why? Well when are you going to have 5+ of every coin? Never. As soon as you get that 15th/set complete you then go sell it. W any of the NERFed collections I am always sitting on like 1 shy of the complete set and half of them between 6-9. Once you max out then you cant collect that item. So thats when I make sure to crop back down to 5 (plus there are dailies to sell 3 items to Nazar frequently. I have no qualms about trading in that cards that are ALWAYS at Emerald Station or MacFarlaine Ranch, Wild Rhubarb or Cardinal Flowers etc etc)
100% agree with you on this, I actually sit on 7 of every item and the two days a week I play I stop by Madam Nazar and drop them all down to 7 again. With the nerf to the collector it is all down to percentages of what you get. This is the only reason why I sell individual items.

I like all the tips but I actually hunt legendary animals quite often because I bought the game mainly because of the wildlife and being able to hunt them and wear them adds to that experience
I have four horses, a chestnut turk, steel grey breton, missisuri fox trotter Black white coat, and another breton that I will replace when I feel like it. I mainly only use my steel grey breton that I named Kronos, I use it 24/7
I literally spent about $40 on my outfit with an exception of a $150 mask just because it’s halloween and my outfit looks good i just add a matching coat for it to work in the cold too
The only time I sell collectibles individually is when it's stacked. So I sell them to make more space so I can loot more. And the wilderness camp should add at least 1 small tent like in the story mode.
if you don’t want to wait to get a level 20 role horse, i highly recommend the mustang. it’s only 500 compared to others with the same stats being 1000+ and i even got mine on sale for 350. full stamina and health circle when fully bonded and the same speed and acceleration as the black arabian!
Do the daily challenges and the Free Roam Events when they pop up (fishing, hunting, photography, king of the castle, cold dead hands, train baron, etc) as they give you gold even if you finish dead last or stand there.
I strongly recommend keeping at least one set of collectable alcohol and one set of collectable flowers in your bag. Both of these can be used to make flavoured moonshine which means more profit. Also, you don't get much money back from selling the sets, which is pointless if you already have a stack of cash.
Yeah, I don't keep 10 stacks of everything. I sell any items I have over 5 of (aside from moonshine or stew items). I don't really get why people want to blow through outlaw passes so fast. They give you plenty of time to unlock all the levels with regular even casual play. Plus near the end, they always give EXP vouchers for free to help people finish.

I’ve started playing late after completing 100% of single player mode and I’ve started with bounty and daily challenges... once I was max in role I started with naturalist role selling collections of samples from mountain and forest animals only.. than I moved to trader... my last role was moonshine but I really don’t like selling it.. now I am focusing on collectibles and daily challenges....
I played the campaign, but never actually tried online till 4 days ago. My buddy and I were looking for a new online/co op game to play, we decided on Red Dead. You're tips are much appreciated sir. Horse is probably the most important investment in this game as you really use them to do everything. In my humble opinion as a new player, in the "multi" category there are mustangs which are 500 dollars each. It might be a steep price but after doing about half of the missions you should have enough and its well worth it. Its basically a top 5 horse that I got at level 15. Now the most important thing about horses are the saddles which you will sadly not have unlocked yet but you should always only upgrade the stirrups on your saddle as they decrease stamina usage. With -20% stirrups and the full affinity mustang I bought I basically never run out of stamina and in a rare case that I will I just use the horse steroids which you can craft easily or buy for like 1.50. Also the first role you should get as a new player is in my opinion trader as it is the most straight forward. (You will need a rifle and maybe a varmint rifle as well but they are pretty cheap.)

On top of that, when those methods are well followed, you actually get gratification out of farming, as you make progress quickly.. Anyway buddy, I recommend this game to you, it's superb! I am currently character level 23... been playing for almost 2 weeks. I think trader is the best one to do first. I am making $500 a day selling. I am at level 16 trader right now. Moonshine is broken and wont make you much profit if any. The bootlegger mission dont always lower the mash price. The other problem is loosing jars of moonshine along the way if you play solo.
Well, 45 minutes for a strong moonshine, use 2 or 3 star recipes, and you can make around 200 if you make sure to get cheap mash. Large trader wagon takes 3 hours and 20 minutes not including time to wait for resupplies or do resupply missions. So you make as much, if not more, doing moonshiner back to back. It is pretty easy not to break bottles solo. Don't go full speed, make sure to go through the check stop as a lot of the time they will just let you pass and if you have to stop, just jump off and run away from your wagon to draw their fire. You can also autopilot while driving and having your gun aimed. So just look behind you and kill the revenue agents as they only spawn behind you.
How to get lots of gold in 5 easy steps: 1. Start a RU-vid channel. 2. Get subscribers. 3. Make bank on ad revenue. 4. Spend said bank on gold bars. 5. Show off your gold hoard, telling people it's easy to get gold; tell 'em to just do daily challenge streaks!
I'm so sorry. Thanks for letting me know. The pamphlets that I use a decent amount are Small Game Arrows and any explosive/dynamite ammo pamphlets. Explosive ammo is still incredibly overpowered, you don't need it for NPC's but other players if they become a problem, small game arrows I've had to resort to when I've ran out of Varmint ammo and I need to get a small animal or shoot and egg out the sky.
It's really good. There some stuff which was a bit miss leading with the naturalist being the Katata Elk garment, players didn't understand that you still needed to hunt the elk, everyone thought it would just be added to the account but it's still easy money

I just hit 100 and honestly, if I could go back to being a low level, I would. The game was so much more fun to me back then. Idk why. I just unlocked the trader role and make ruthless amounts of cash but like the game just isn't really fun anymore.
Still waiting on the money for the Nacogdoches saddle. I lived there for a bit going to school and I think that’s pretty cool they have a saddle in the game. :-)

Amazon might automatically charge you when it expires, you can change that in the Amazon setting by turning off auto-renew. Amazon is pretty good, a couple years back I had Amazon prime for a year but didn't use it and because of that Amazon didn't charge me, I don't know if they still do that.
It will charge you. Or at least they've charged me for the past 3 months, and I've unsubscribed 3 times as well. I even kept the debit card I used empty, and they charged a different card that was linked to the first card. :/
Black chestnut throughbred. It is a race horse. No role required I believe for the horse. It's really good stats, beautiful horse, and is unique because I don't see many people with it
Wilderness camp is a beast for the game you can fast travel from it to your main camp and it only cost 1$ from where ever you are so absolutt recommended to grab it
The best weapons that I like is the bolt action rifle, the repeating shotgun (although its very expensive), dual wielding the volcanic and Schofield (you can dual wield by getting an extra holster in a gun shop), and a melee i recommend is the ancient tomahawk (these are all weapons i recommend for new players except the repeating shotgun wait until you get enough money like $700 to buy it)
Even the lower-tier role horses are worth it. 150 bucks for a rank 5 Kladruber or Breton? They might be slower but almost have max health and stamina. Speed and acceleration(absolutely pointless) are practically pointless unless you want to get from one side of the map to the other but at that point, it would be more efficient to just fast travel.
I’m sick of people saying only buy the role horses, you’ll get 1125 dollars before a rank 20 in a role and the Missouri Fox Trotter in the multi class in the stables IS JUST AS GOOD, I use the Missouri Fox Trotter as my main horse and I can travel the whole map without needing to rest for stamina.
How did you not talk about completing and resetting awards to earn gold? I stopped playing the game shortly after the moonshiners came out, because I spent real world money on the outlaw pass, only to have modders blowing up my shipments and denying me experience. Then I found out you don't get your money back because you can no longer unlock ranks for a pass you paid real money for, since modders prevent you from earning Xp. Two years or so later, I built a new badass gaming PC, and decided to try RDO again. You can imagine how happy I am that not only does the game look amazing in 4K on a 57" screen at 60 fps with high and ultra settings across the board, but the fucking modders are finally gone. I've only been killed by one player this past week in freeroam and he apologized, said he was doing the daily challenge, and even let me kill him back for some easy gold. Now that I know how to get gold and Xp fast, I'll likely buy into the upcoming Halloween pass, assuming they're doing it again. I made like 10 gold in a minute by simply resetting some awards. Wish someone had told me about that. Super easy one is to sell 100 plants to a pharmacist. Like, REALLY easy. Too bad it eventually caps, but holy crap you can make a ton of gold fast with awards.
I agree 98%. The 2 % I disagree with is that damn bounty wagon... I feel this is a total waste. I've done 4 man bounties just fine with a second player or just a second horse. Only exception I can think of is the hoot owl family...
Buying the collector maps really isn't that bad because when your daily challenge comes up it's like you're trading money for gold. Use three maps get 0.5 gold
I spent over an hour at the start making my character, a month later I realized I didn't like how she looked... so I changed it, spent another hour... realized a few days later I messed up AGAIN, so I paid to change it.... I think I finally got it, but only time will tell 😂👌
