Oh wow what a video so glad you decided to go back into the car hunting .That Daimler Limo is awesome. MOT expired 2021 . I think i saw 63,000 miles on the DVLA website. Lovely car so many of those have fallen into the wrong hands and ended up on The Banger tracks sadly. Sadly that breakers yard is too far away from me .Really good of the bloke to let you film around the yard.Takes me back to when i use to go around the old scrap yards .
Great video mate, this junk yard is awesome.I'd buy that limousine clean her up and try and make a little money on it that thing was beautiful. Once again thanks for the great content cheers from Noosa Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Sweet vid Bro, do love scrap yards. I remember climbing around precariously balanced cars that were 3 high and I'd be making them wobble. I used to collect reg plates and car badges, would come out with loads of stuff including the part we needed for our old car. As we didnt have aot of money back in the day, it was my Mum who undertook the repairs of her cars with my help, I was 9ish! I used to wear an old boiler suit that was clearly to big and was filthy oily. Throughout the years I visited that same scrapyard for parts for cars I owned. I reffited a new rear axle in front of the place, installed a new drivers window as some kind person thought I needed ventilation, replaced starter motors and more parked outside the yard. I could walk in and they'd just ask what car you were looking for and tell you 'roughly' where it/they where. However as time went on, they got done for having a dangerous yard and ended up having to put everything on racks to make it safer and also they stopped public entering, youd ask for a part and it could be on the shelf already or one of the lads would go take it off a car for you. So a yard you can walk round is getting rarer all the time, probably due to public liability, people hurting themselves, I didnt mind though, never fell off a set of cars, never hurt myself in the yard, as long as your careful all is fine :) Great vid Bro, some nice motors there. I spotted an old mini in the back of one shot briefly. Im with you on the rover story, they are a good car, or where I should say. I loved my 218D with her Honda engine in her, she was all electric and a really nice metallic green. Keep on Bro, loving it!
@MrGti6 Thats true, I'd forgotten that it was the 216Sli that had the honda plant, owned 1 of those around same time. Both of them, 216Sli and 218Sld were good cars. I should have remembered the Peugeot connection, thanks for the reminder. Haven't owned a car for years, 2 wheels for me.
Offer him £2k for the Daimler limo and he will probably take it - after all, you are giving his business good publicity. You could do a bit of chauferring/wedding limo hire on the side and make your money back in no time! I love the old Wolseley radiator grilles and hub caps. It looked like the Jag grill was off a Mark 9 or one of its immediate predecessors. And did I spot the grille from an Austin Somerset in there? Fab!
Great post fella as always, and said before jaguar is my favourite car and when you were looking at the Daimler looking really nice car and I've often thought about getting a limo like it but never have I think you should go for it 😂obviously cheaper than he wants 🎉
Nice one Stokze also those Daimler, that Porsche and all the rest, that old Peugeot, that old MG 😮wow and that Benz yea Mate this one ☝️is a good find. Keep em coming mate😎👍👍
What a blast from the past there mate and have many happy memories going to these places with my dad ,grew up pulling bits off cars ,then doing the same on my own cars, these places sadly disappearing now, enjoyed this one .
That 944 Porsche should be restored to its former glory!. Not beyond the realms of possibility in the hands of a competent professional restorer.Becoming sort after as I've been offered great money for my 1984 example.
Evening Stu IMSTOKZE Tours with the Damiler 😁😁😁😁😁 Excellent vid & walk around the yard - love to see more scrap yard vids - Take Care & Stay Safe Bud 😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
Mate that’s a blast from the past! I used to go there with my grandad and uncle when I was a kid and when I started driving back in the 90’s. Had some great times there. Great bunch of lads. Glad it’s still open and doing well. Might have to have a drive down soon and to bring back the memories. Great video again mate 👍👍
Absaloutly brilliant video stokzey ❤👍 that is just sad all those cars that could quietly have been savedi still don't get ppls mentality especially when we're in times were decent cars are getting scarce brilliant
class yard!! not many like that are left now sadly, i will let my pal know about this video, as he has a ford probe, so that could be handy for spare bits for his.
Love a wee scrapyard tour , brings a lot of memories back. They're maybe not always full of classics, but there's always something interesting to see. I've an original MK1Escort grille in the garage still. I haven't even owned one 😂
Hahah 😂 the Porsche when he was saying I don’t no we’re it is it was staring him right in the face. LOL look back at you video stokze and you will kick your self when you see the dip stick
Definitely see you in the limo Daimler stu next project for live in weekend sleep car for sure think of the room and luxury ....some good finds too m8 ...👍
Great video again! If you don't buy the Daimler limo I'm afraid it will end up in banger racing. Lots of Rolls-Royces are not driven by the owner itself so they often suffer from bad maintenance. The owner makes sure the outside is clean and shiny. Meanwhile it's still a British car made from the same steel as the Austins and Rovers which means they can be a wreck if tthey hit the 90,000 miles. Apart from the engine and the radiator (the latter as decoration for a mancave) there's little interest for a Roller on a scrapyard as a Rolls-Royce owner won't buy second hand parts for his car. In the end it's just a lump of steel with a nice interior.
Hey Brother 😊 love the stories you share relating to cars in your life with the ones scraped in this yard. A few good ones there and the limo was in fantastic condition inside, so clean. Great to see you out here having a good explore 🤠🌲🍃
Stu mate as one of the loyal stokze family ive got to say this is one of your best vids in a long time i love scrap yards and those alfa grills they have hot to be worth buying, would be good to see more content along the same lines , top man cheers for vid 👍
