UPDATE: Worried about adding too many NES games? Fear not, I added around 500 - 700 games to my NES Mini, nearly every NES game is on my NES mini! I may come out with an update video on this!

This is tempting, and there are only a handful of games I want to add to mine, but I think I'll wait until the NES Classic is more widely available to try it myself... I had to pay thrice the msrp for mine!

Added more games at midnight on 20/08/2017, this method works and with new version from the downloadable file, these games now have game genie support

Raymond Day Yah I know the struggle of having to either only read, just pictures, or even video without the commentary. I never liked those kinds of tutorials because there is nothing to compare it to, just hope you did it right, thats why I spoke in the video.

Nice i am thinking to buy one of those since i learned that but how much space this baby has inside it? If you plug it to your pc shows the actual space and such? Though thus last question i have is pretty stupid though since this has a save state feature can i save the games and starting them like the emulators? Thanks for your time.

When i add games and then go to play them, the games are grouped into folders on the game select screen. Is there a way to make it so the games don't divide up into separate folders ?

I've covered every step besides the last one with waiting for the LED light to reset. I'm not skipping any steps in between either. I'm running Parallels with Windows 10. Any suggestions?

Got Windows 10 I guess that's what you have. It keeps waiting for me to plug in my NES classic edition. I do and hear the ding with the power LED not on. But it just keeps waiting. Looks like Windows 10 auto installed the driver and I went to the driver folder but Windows says it all ready has the best driver. How did you install it? Did not show that part in the video. I had a C.H.I.P driver on mine and that seems that same but does not work the same. On the "nesmini.inf" I right clicked on it and then clicked "install" that worked to install the driver. Seems like all works good but the power LED never turns off. How long do you have to wait? I did not wait and plug it in and looks just the same no new games. So I guess have to wait for the Power LED to go off but looks like it never does.

can you edit the date a game was published? On the nes mini's homescreen you can sort the games by date published, and it would be awesome if added games were in the right spot when sorting chronilogically

Glad I could help, I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels the NES Classic does lack on games, for $60 (Now $100 in some major retailers) I think there should have been by default about 50 or 60 games. It is my opinion though.

i followed every step and after i upload games its says don't power of until light goes off, the light never goes off and the games never add.

I have one myself. To be honest, all the games currently on it are good enough for me. The only games I wish were on there are Tetris and Duck Tales, but I can do without.

I added a few games a couple of weeks ago. I tried adding more today, from the same website I used last time, and now nothing works. It says unable to find the compete file in hakchi2. Any ideas?

I just bought the 2018 NES Classic from GameStop. Does this work on the 2018 release of the NES Classic or has Nintendo change something to keep people from adding games? I don't want to brick my game system. Thanks.

If I already have my nes classic modded but just want to add or remove a few games what do I do? Not sure if I plug it into PC and just add games then sync, or if the power has to be on or off, or If I need to put it into developer mode 1st ? Please help me

So the mini nes has like 512mb give or take for storage. You have enough space to add all box art for each game? I'm already at 301.7mb and only in the letter "E" so far. But I didn't delete the duplicates of some games that have 3 or 4 of the same. Cause mine says I have like 2600 games or so.

Where do you get the games for free to download and add them? Do you have to download every game you want to your computer first to get it on the mini? that is the only issue I have.

Is there a way to do this using a macbook? Hakchie2 wont open on my pro. I really hope it is posible, I only bought the nes classic to be able to add my own games to it.

So if I found a bunch of roms online and they're downloaded as zip files, how do i transfer them to the hakchi program? Does the nes have to be plugged in the whole time to move the files into hakchi or do I need to unzip the files? What kind of files do i need to click on so that they will enter into the hakchi program? I've been trying all day and I'm super confused. Please help.

I just want an ever drive for my original nintendo. I want to use my NES Advantage controller and I also want the snes ever drive for my snes. I've got the Snes Advantage for that too. Just love the arcade controllers.

meh i tried doesn't wanna upload new roms it has the custom kernel no issues there so i reflashed the original kernel and left it at that looks like this hack doesn't let me add more roms might be a different chipset maybe to yours.

Have any of you guys did this yet? I have added about 30 games on top of the original and every once and awhile there is an issue where i play the game and the screen goes black but i still hear the sounds and it plays. It happens with the original games as well as the downloaded ones. I also tried different hdmi cables and ports as well. Any ideas?? I really hope i didnt brick the system..

Once you download the SNES or NES Rom from emuparadise... Do you upload the entire zip file or unzip it and add a certain part of the file?... the games are showing up, but when you try to start the game it just goes to a black screen and back to the main menu. NES and SNES games alike... SOMEONE HELP?!

can somebody help me?!! Its not dumping the kernal on my nes mini. It will acknowledge my nes when I download the driver, but after that allow it to dump the kernal. Any suggestions?

I have Hakchi CE, it worked with the SNES Mini but for the NES Mini I think I have the wrong file types. Only wanted to add like four games. Tried it and they don’t play. All the new games are NES type. What are they supposed to be?
