So right about not putting anything on the tracks! I ran over a new Yeti the same way...learned my lesson. Thanks for another informative video...they don't make themselves I know!
ProjectNinja isn’t that the truth! The next video shows putting it on. Had to modify it a bit so hopefully it will be back on Friday. Thanks again for watching
Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you, makes you money in the long run. Excellent how to video on maintenance for sure. Really digging that machine of yours!!
shooters option targets thank you! Yes I agree it gets old at times spending money on them but definitely keeps them going! Just one of those things. As always thanks for watching and commenting
Consistent maintenance can make a piece of equipment last a long time. The reason I laugh at people who complain about their equipment being broke down all the time. Probably don’t do enough servicing on it. Lot of the guys I work with walk the other way when it comes to just greasing equipment. “Take it to the shop” they say. Nice video man
Tyler Pittmon it’s not always easy or something I want to do but I understand it’s important and necessary. Definitely helps to keep them running longer. Thanks again for watching
arkansas13 thank you! I try to keep up with everything I can on them. Want them to last a long time. Thanks again for watching. I’ll be in touch probably the end of the week. I think I’m going to have to hold off on the cutter but I will call you. Thanks again
Great vid you take pride in you equipment 👍👍. I did oil change on my boat to day still have to do fuel filter do to sick kids that's life and don't feel bad when I worked for a tree service I run over a $700 saw with the tracked chipper... yup.. I heard that for a while had to work a few Sundays to make up for that one
Josh Welner ouch! And thank you! I do and I really try to keep up with anything they need. It can be a full time job though. Thanks again for watching and commenting
Nice job on the maintenance Brandon!! Maintenance is cheap but repairs are expensive. I always have a few different sizes of empty jugs laying around to use as funnels and oil diversions. If I need the same one twice I’ll make one up out of aluminum siding then mark the use on it. The aluminum holds up much better to heat than plastic. Maybe one of these days I can give you a hand doing a PM
Richard Savaglio thanks! Totally agree with you on the maintenance and repairs. Easier to spend a little bit every now and then. Than a whole bunch at one tile. That’s a good idea on the aluminum. Thanks. And as always thanks for watching and commenting
Check your local auto parts store, they might be able to get the lift cylinder cheaper. We replaced a bunch of them on the fire trucks and didn't realize how many different lengths and weight sizes that were available.
I want a TL12V2 and TL12R2 open ROPS so I can wear my sound canceling earmuffs I bought the damn things for a reason! And I want to feel the wind blow through my hair! great 👍🏻 video!
Awesome videos. I just bought a 2009 Mustang MTL325 which seems to be very much the same as your videos. So I have a few questions. Do you have all the filter numbers by change? Oil, fuel, hydraulic and air filter? I want to do a full service in it.
Brandon great video. I’m looking to get a Takeuchi track loader. Have you had good luck with the reliability of the machine? Like you, I’ve always had to do my own mechanic work. Would you be afraid of a little bit older machine ? When would the hours start to be to much in your experience on a decently maintained machine? Thanks.
Thank you! This machine has 8700 hours on it now I bought it in 2012 with 900 hours. It’s still running strong. I guess 5K-6k hours would be kind of high if you don’t know how the machine was cared for. I haven’t had any major issues with mine. Just normal wear and tear stuff but I have taken great care of it too. These machines are fantastic and will run forever
Hey bud nice video. I was wondering if you might be able to throw a chain over a beam in the shop j attach a come along on it to lift that cab up ,just a thought take care
What oil do you use when you do your hydraulic service. .I know you said Rotella 1 5w40 semi synthetic for the engine was curious on the hydraulic. .. I recently just bought a tl130 and I really like what you do and hopefully can do some work like you. Keep up the good work and vids
Bart Ferreira it’s 10w30 engine oil is what the loaders call for. The excavator takes AW46 hydraulic fluid. Not really sure why the loaders take the 10w30 but that’s what the book calls for. You’ll love that 130 their a beast. Appreciate you watching!
10w 30 diesel or regular? And are theyre any know thnigs that i should look for ton the tl130 that you might know ....ps What are the chances that you have any shirts for sale.?
Bart Ferreira just regular 10w30. Nothing I can really think of, just check for any play in the pins and bushings on the arms. And check the sprockets for wear. These machine are extremely reliable and tough. Mine just rolled over 6700 hours and it’s still going strong. I’m working on getting more shirts made. If you want to email me at eliteearthworksllc@gmail.com and let me know what size. I’m hoping to have more in a week. Thanks again
Dan J the cylinders have replaceable bushings in them and so do the loader arms. Shouldn’t be a terrible job, just a little time consuming. Thanks for watching
No no no no, you're doing it all wrong... You're supposed to change the engine oil every couple years and neglect everything else unless it breaks or starts making noise so loud you can't get the radio turned up high enough to blast over it! That's crazy doing all that maintenance in such a periodic fashion! lol! You'll never get a new loader doing that since this one will last you forever with all that care taken! lol! You treat it like it's your own or something! Ha! Well, keep up the good work - it pays for itself in the end! Thanks for the video!
burningdinosaurs 😆 all this time I’ve been doing it wrong! Thanks for pointing that out. That is definitely true, when you own them you take way better care of them! As always thanks for watching and commenting
Burning - Right, gotta be careful w/that preventative maintenance. Sometimes all the dirt and crud is holding stuff together. Remember the old adage, ‘If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!’. Seriously - Nice job Brandon! All that PM should help relieve some of that OCD stress too. 👍
Burning - Probably! Did’ja ever do something to a machine that you thought was just PM? Then when you start running the machine again, it just never seems to run quite like it did before?? Hate when that happens! 🙄
mrpush no still running strong, it may be a bit slower on the cycles compared to a new one but not issues yet. And I’m going to hit 7000 hours this week!
Phil Rogers awesome glad to hear that. I kinda quit filming the maintenance stuff because so many people told me they were boring but I’m going to start doing more of it cause it’s the other side of owning equipment. Appreciate the support too
Ha ha, well those people obviously don’t work on their equipment like we do. Buddy and I just bought the same loader you have so your videos have been a lot of help. Thanks again
Phil Rogers 🤣 that’s exactly right! Cool well I will definitely keep them coming then. If you have any questions with them shoot me an email at eliteearthworksllc@gmail.com I don’t know everything about them but I’ll help where I can. Thanks again
Talking about running over stuff i planted 2 ceil phones fell off the planter. An ran one over20.000lbs jd it dont hold up. An they it takes a beating. Layed on the fender oops. Wife mad at me couldnt get hold of me tks gary
I have all Cats and the worst part of the whole machines are the cabs. The older ones were worse, but the shocks suck! i change them non-stop and they are not cheap. The newer minis have the bottom front window slide up in to the top, so they will wear out even faster! Buy stock in the shock company, then we can all make money!
Joe Hussey LoL yeah the shocks are terrible. I understand they take a lot of abuse and vibration but they should definitely last longer or be a bit cheaper. I’ve tried to shop around on the internet but haven’t had much luck. Thanks again for commenting and watching
Yvonne Johnson yes give me about 30-40 mins. Just finishing working for today and I got have it ready on my phone. Another maintenance video on the excavator this time so it may not be super exciting lol
@@eliteearthworksllc that's crazy. Most guys around me(Kentucky) trade theirs off around 3k hours. Btw, I looked at the new tl12r2 yesterday. That thing is a beast.
Michael Huhn yeah I just really like this one. And it keeps on ticking! I have been eyeing the tl12r2. I was trying to hold off from the tier 4 as long as I could but it may be about time!
