Gotta love Edwin's 50 cal videos. Short, sweet, and to the point. Not to mention he puts his life on the line shooting these steel targets for our enjoyment!
Wow that sounded really dangerous. Right as he shoots the steel, you can hear the bullet ricochet and fly right past them. Imagine if that bullet would have ricocheted back after he shot it and hit him right in the face.. not good man. I would have some kind of protective barrier if your playing with a power weapon like that.
Cara, sinceramente acho que a primeira voltou sim, veja o recurso em câmera lenta disponível no App do RU-vid e tirem suas conclusões! Quase morreu mesmo, da pra ouvir o projétil voltando e zunindo! 🙈
Amazing performance both from the steel and the ammo. If you get another chance to shoot hardened steel, I'd like to see the effect of standard mild steel ammo.
reminds me of the guy who got his ear muffs knocked off by a 50cal. ricochet...lol he was like "thats the last one of them were doing!!! am i bleedin"😂
Стрелять из 50 калибра с такой дистанции без всяческой защиты и слушать летающие над головой пули, которые срикошетили и полетели обратно, ну, такое себе удовольствие..
markserbu just find or make some 14.5×114 gun(of course with the standard barrel length:53,2 inches)and I will send you some bullets that I have for it which are unable to ricochet off anything in the world, because they simply get stuck in any material known to man(only when they hit a toughest target existing at an angle of 7 degrees or less-the bullet will be reflected and go further)😎 Just in case:if someone claims that he/she heard the ricochet while firing BS41 ammo from PTRS-41:just know that he/she is lying😉
@@EdwinSarkissian Can i ask you something? is there difference of impact or hitting power between shooting from point blank or relatively close distance and long distance? I'm asking because a Vietnam veteran told me that the bullet takes its peak of speed after specific distance and hits harder than close range shot. Thanks for reading.
@@johnsheppard1476 the 14.5x114 is more badass than 12.7 (.50 cal) or even 20mm in therms of accuracy and penetration power according the bullet's weight, very ballanced round ! Looong time ago made and still works same nowdays :-D
PPE is great to muffle the loud noise and eye wear is in place only to prevent hot brass or partially burnt powder [blow back] from striking the eyes. If anyone thinks PPE is going to save them from a catastrophic failure in breech and/or barrel, or from a ricochet on a hardened target, they would be mistaken. In your thoughts the man could suffer from a serious wound, but thankfully he was wearing his hearing protection, eye protection and steel toed boots.
U could see the bullet going right past him on the right hand side on 0:50, the velocity of that bullet made the sand move a bit. But the whistling air, just beautiful
Dude you need to be more careful with this shit maybe put a protective glass infront of you then make a little hole in it stick the guns barrel through it then shoot so even if something comes back you aren't taking the risk you have a glass infront of you
Having it at 90 degree angle vs tilted angle will make MORE of a difference than at having it at the fixed position vs non-fixed position. The reason why it simply doesn't go thru is because even 3/4" thick AR500 steel is capable (and had) stopped .50BMG AP, API and Raufoss rounds. The .50BMG SLAP the other hand can and (had) penetrated 1" AR500 steel.
Edwin Sarkissian , Ricochet's sounds like they are spinning at around 20,000 rpm's, approaching and leaving by your face at 1,200 fps. We like your videos and you. So keep that smile and don't let the blood out.
1st round. Are you ready? I'm ready. Whizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... 2nd round. Are you ready? Yes! Whizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... 3rd round. Are you ready? No! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dude I like your channel and how your video goes straight to the point instead of wasting everyone's time on a 15 min intro. But please, wear some protective gear next time because of the ricochets.
0:49 WTF Edwin? If I send you a plexiglass shield, will you use it? Nobody wants to see you get hurt...Mythbusters always used them for their protection and I think you should as well...stay safe my friend.
