In this video I continue the rust repair on our 1955 Chevy 3100 Big Window pickup. After plenty of procrastination, I dig into the rust above the windshield. After cutting out the inner panel above the windshield, I realize that I will need to also replace the outer panel.

Hey guy, just found ur channel ! Hey we done my sons 55 p.up about 5 yrs ago I used the Urethane 2k High Build primer & paint on it putting it together & painting the Truck, for the Money he can't beat it, it still looks good like the day we painted it ! Just wanted to tell ya, all about the $$$ 😂

I do think we will be looking at painting the truck. Not really into the look of every panel being a different color.

Great video, looking forward to seeing how you finish up. My truck has the same rot, only more down the A pillar. Seeing you do it, makes me motivated to attempt this. Got a bunch of clecos from my buddy!

I was pretty intimidated by the amount of rust on this cab but Sam and I really wanted to keep as much original sheet metal as possible. This time of year time is limited but I will be getting back to it soon!

So glad to published this video. I'm currently building a 58 GMC 100 and I have the same rust along the windshield. I need to do the exact job on my 1956 Cameo truck. What company did you buy the parts from? I really appreciated your video. I'm not a body guy , but will learn from this project. I learned alot from your video. Thanks. Jay G

Parts are from lmctruck.com. It’s really not difficult just very time consuming. At first I didn’t think I needed to do the outside piece but it was paper thin so if one is rusted out I would be willing to bet the other is almost there. Take your time and you’ll get it!

I will be getting back to the 55 soon. There is plenty of rust to repair/replace. Even going to make custom floor pans.
