#56 Maine ATV TRAIL RIDING Ellsworth to Grand Lake.

Over the weekend we made a trip to Ellsworth, Maine. We rode from Acadia trail riders to Grand Lake Stream, Came back down around mile marker 70 on the Down East Sunrise Trail, which is basically like a long straight highway of a trail with some nice scenery along the coast.

Really can’t believe how fast the 500 came and how fast things are moving, just hope it continues like this. We really appreciate all the support you have given us along the way as well. I have I wish I could get one of those giant lobster rolls everyday lol! Thank you Luc!

I wish we did more drone shots. Its always a good time up there. I guess we were more occupied with enjoying our selves rather than filming which is not a bad thing. Thanks for stopping by Kyle!

Yes we prefer riding Maine, New Hampshire has some nice trails and is a little closer, But maine has a lot more trails and a lot less people. Thanks for watching Logan

Thanks Ben it was good to get away, we haven't gotten out much this year at all. The whole channel has really picked up the last few days, well over the watch hours just working towards the goal of 1000 subs. We really appreciate all of the support you have been giving us as well!

Wow Richie! You guys spent a whole lot of time in your side by side.Was that a marmot at 2:35? Another Wow! You guys just blew past 500 subs! You guys are rocking it! That is some gorgeous country up there. Wait til you guys are you tube rock stars and can make the trip to Colorado. You will fall in love with the mountains. I enjoyed the full watch.

Really appreciate the kind words Gary as well as your support to make it all possible. That was a porcupine in the video there were quite a few. Lots of bald eagles as well but has some technical errors with some of the clips.

Ok I'm gonna make a couple of comments, first of all , what beautiful country to ride in. Second, At 3:40 there was a random picnic table by the river? 3rd, The Terex looked like it did awesome. Last but not least, that sandwich OMG. I think its worth a trip just for that. Awesome Video Richie!!!

Yes Paul it really is beautiful up there, This was a mix of riding. Some from the Down East Sunrise Trail which goes through a few towns and along the coast. That section has several picnic tables, camp sites, restaurants, things like that. The rest was more remote areas with very few population and come across the only gas station for quite a ways and happily pay the 4.44 for gas lol. There is certainly no shortage of lobster in Maine! @@HillsideAcres I worked with a lot of seafood back when I was a chef. Especially when I was cooking for the rich and famous. Lobster was a daily thing and I'd have to get someone else to taste it every single time. Always enjoyed preparing it.

Im sure its a bit different than what you are used to! I got out of the mud riding some years back. Last year we did a trip from ellsworth to fort kent and back 1200+ miles in 5-6 days!

Dang, I thought we went on long trips on the Hatfield McCoy’s in WV. Makes our 120 mile days look like nothing. Ritchie hog the drivers seat the whole trip?

Christy actually never wants to drive! I actually like to switch it up from time to time. The trails up north are really something else. The ground up there is all like a nice sandy road base and not very rocky! I have been wanting to go to hatfield trails, not sure which ones though. It would be a good option for us in the winter as you can only use the trails up north if you have tracks. Thanks for watching!

@@HillsideAcres We ride the southern trails down around Bluefield WV. About a 3-1/2 hour trip from my house in NC. There are 3-4 systems that intertwine. Usually do a long weekend with some buddies once in the spring & once in the fall. I can’t get away from work much, construction industry is booming down south.

We finally did the down east trail ... Crazy amount of land... we plan to do it all this summer to fort kent. There's places to camp off trail.if we need to ? On the down low?

Yeah , we usually just look for a spot with soft ground to pitch the tent, nice to be by water to wash up too

We typically park in ellsworth by the trains at the acadia riders club. We stayed right in the lot in the cargo trailer conversion. we have rode from ellsworth to fort kent and back before and just camp off the trail where we end up and do a night at northern door inn in fort kent its nice to get a hot shower and a load of laundry done half way through. @@HillsideAcres nobody bothers you camping not that anyone is around..lol ? Idlike to do the 200mile ride camp stay at the inn you mentioned. Where did you park when you did that ride and camped? Trying plan so we can get any gear wear missing.. appreciate your help. Ride looked awsome. We usually ride NH but have new side by side looking to do some long rides.

I really appreciate the offer but I don’t think I saved the route, I did have one saved from Ellsworth to fort Kent and back but unfortunatly lost that tablet in the barn fire! We typically don’t plan anything out and just wing it!
