Better grade Yellowtail decided to chew today off of La Jolla CA. These fish were hitting the yo-yo, drop loop and fly lined Sardines. These fish pulled HARD. Good times!! Thanks Cpt. Brian Castleton and the crew of the New Seaforth.

Andrew Kloster yeah it is a struggle this year. I think it’s just because we’ve been spoiled with the past 4+ years of fishing haha.

Great video man! But damn you really shouldn’t need to use a rail for any size yellow. First man seemed like he hooked into a cow

Perhaps, but I'm not going to critique someone's fishing style. It was a stalemate until he put his rod on the rail, then it was nothing but gains. He landed the fish, and that's what counts. My fish (and his) taped out at 21 pounds, not a monster by Yellowtail standards, but I forgot how hard local Yellow's pull.

Haha, I'm glad you noticed that! I'm not greedy my friend, and after I got a good one (or two), I really enjoy catching (pun) the moment for other people. When the fishing is slow, all I have are my cheesy videos to tide (pun) me over until the next bite ;)
