I’ve struggled doing anything with this lockdown. Once depression sets in you struggle. Thanks for posting this. Will give me a kick up the backside to do something. Cheers Mark👍

I feel your pain Man Of Beard. I struggled with anxiety and depression for many years until I faced my demons got help and then went on to help others with my therapy work. Take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself and know that you can turn it around. Good luck mate

Mark I'll turning 40 this January, have been training bodyweight for solid 3 years and still now where near your level of fitness. Well done and I glad you recovered from your injury and keep going.

Holy smokes this guy is fit! Sir, you are an absolute inspiration! What's going on in our world?.. I am 42 and regularly train in the gym and run half marathons. I hardly see 'anyone' above 40 working out! I usually just train with 'kids' half my age..lol I hope I can be like you when I hit my 50s... :) By the way, you look like 10 years younger!

Thank you so much for these videos, you've truly an inspiration. When I was younger I could do all kinds of gymnast type movements, but that wasn't really respected. Everyone wanted to know how much you can bench! So I changed my focus and got into weightlifting, needless to say my strength was mediocre, now I want to get back to my gymnast movements and guess what I can't hardly do them anymore!!! Lesson, be true to yourself!

Awesome Mark, who would have thought it was only just over a year since you ripped your bicep tendon. I've had great results with the ring harness, it's been a miracle worker in getting rid of the "Boxers Shoulders" and rotator cuff pain. I now know why gymnast's get so jacked, the upper body grows so quick with a full rings routine. Just mixing it up now with P-Bars, so I'm enjoying my training more than ever. 👏👏👏

im 39 and doing calistenics, and intermediate street workout freestyle. to be honest age is not just a number if you are doing more like joint pressure moves like planche , front lever ,handstand push ups, slow muscle ups etc. i dont say it is impossible yes it is possible but it is much much more risky after 35 because your joints became super weak and hard to recover if you get injured. If you decide to start calistenics after around 35 you need to progress suuuper slow you need to rest a lot its all about your joints not muscles. why im writing this if you are 40 , 50 ,60 and want to do these skills do not jump in to the moves shown in 20 years old young guys tutorial videos. These guys never know how is it feel like being old and playing with gravity so always get advised from old calistenics athlets. Age is just a number if you train smart . peace

Totally agree kerem. As well as sufficient rest and recovery, good diet, low stress, great programming, no alcohol, adding in a good mobility and flexibility program alongside your cali training will also go a long way to preparing and helping your body to cope with and recover from these moves at any age. Good question Jerry. Pretty much everything I do is self taught from RU-vid and other net sources. I tried an early online calisthenics program but found it too restrictive

I bought and used scaffold poles made of galvanised steel. They are tough enough and stand up to all weathers without rusting. Best size for me was 34mm width though I have used ones up to 48 mm for improving my grip

The one in the vid is 20kg, but I work with bells from 16kg to 32kg. Most men start on one between 12-16kgs
