This price point for GPS drones didn't used to even exist, and if it did, it was a joke of a camera drone. You used to have to spend at least $300 to get something of decent quality and even then it was really rare to find something solid. Now, we've got our hands on the Helifar B3 drone, basically a replica of the EPIK drone by JJRC JJPRO and honestly, it's a home run! We could compare it to drones like the DJI Spark or the Mavic but that wouldn't be fair at all! To find something with a GPS that works well, brushless motors, longer than a ten minute flight time, solid camera quality, and an app that is reliable is very exciting! GPS doesn't use cell data, it uses satellites. --- 5Ghz Wifi has some advantages, and some disadvantages, compared to 2.4Ghz. 5G has a speed of up to 1 Gbps (gigabits per second, in a lab.. less in the field), 2.4G has a speed up to 600 Mbps, so FPV should be better at 5G. 5G has a shorter range than 2.4G, which means 5G should be less likely to get interference from nearby devices like cell phones and internet routers, but has a shorter flight range than 2.4G. 5G signal, due to it's shorter wavelength, is not as good at going "through" solid objects, like doors, walls, trees, as 2.4G longer wavelength.

I just bought a Contixo F-24 Pro and can't find the wifi signal of the drone to connect the app. Does my phone need to be 5G for me to receive the wifi connection? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have EPIK for few months now and found one design flow on those drones. At the beginning drone was a bit noisy, one motor rotate with slightly bigger force then other three. After disassembly i found a cause of that - one of landing leg screws was tiny bit longer and push plastic base under motor up, just enough to touch motors shaft. After correction everything came to normal and flight time increase .

Just received one of these off Amazon for $130 . This video was the trigger. I really think I may be in trouble. Bought my first "real" drone 3 weeks ago and now I have the B3, Kaptur GPS II, and a Hubsan H501S-S.

My JJPRO "EPIK" drone does the same thing as this drone does in Orbit mode. That tells me that this drone is a carbon copy right down to the firmware code. My "EPIK" came with two flight batteries. Finally, I had a flight a couple of days ago that exceeded 20 minutes (!) on a single flight battery! :-) I had brought both flight batteries with me but I ended up only flying one because I had to go poddy.

Hi! i love my new bugs 3! Extremely hairy trying to fly it in the house! The star wars speeder bike is far more forgiving! ha ha. Its 8 degrees here in Minnesota tonight, lots of snow here. Cant wait to get outdoors with them. I have 2 drones now. One for inside, One for racing around outside. my question is, do I get a camera for the bugs 3 or I was thinking about going up a step to a holy stone HS100 with a built in camera? I would think you guys are overwhelmed with questions. Thought I could get some feedback, If not its all good.

Question: I got a new (Z5) drone I may not use for a month or maybe two. Do you think it is better to charge the battery now? Or wait as it is probably set in a sleeping mode? At least that is what they should do. Isn't always the case. Then a tip you may know already. If the mount on the transmitter doesn't hold the phone very well then you can use one of those bicycle mobile phone silicone straps. Sometimes it works even better on the fake antennas. Thanks.

Yep, I'll stick with the Yuneec Q500+ for actual filming but the JJRC may be an option for something lighter. This one having skipping frames considering it is a camera drone is a hard pass.

Great review as usual, For a machine in that price range...It perform's better than my all singing and dancing DJI Mavic Air. Less disconnect issues and you get quite a good flight time as well.👍

Got 2 of the epics they are awesome. Ours work great on the mjx bugs 2se app. Have galaxy 8s 5g plus but jjrc app wont load. Wonder what drones will be like when Amelias doing reviews. Good job.

Hi Nate, and Abby. been watching you guys for some time now. About a year ago I purchased an XK-X300 after your review. Being somewhat of a newbie I took it out today and my mistake. The winds were just too strong. Well It's gone. Wind got It and I couldn't recover. My question is can the transmitter that came with it still be used with any other drones, that you know of. I hate to just junk it. Any help you might give would be much appreciated.

At 800ft. and still had video isn't bad at all at least what i would use it for I'd probably never get farther than about 300ft. or 80/100meters..and you can always put a better camera that won't skip frames on the sd card recording..

I don't think that the "insufficient mobile phone GPS signal" has got anyting to do with data-stream or the likes, but like it says with a problem of the GPS on the phone you used during this flight.

Hello sailors, I am a little confused about this type of drones and bug 3 and bugs pro drones. Bugs are cheaper than these types of drones. What should I buy to start my drone hobby? I am excited because I just flew a DJI Phantom 4 pro plus yesterday. Its stabilization is just awesome and my first commercial drone flight ever. But it is very costly. Note: I am from INDIA and drones come under the law now. I contacted the sellers but they didn't respond correctly to me, and lots of drones are now cant ships to INDIA.

I’m confused I thought this was s 5g drone. So it handles 4g as well. I was reading from your link that a note about the epik that the phone has to be 5g. I didn’t see your epik vid but I’m guessing you used your iPhone 6 for that vid also so you can use a 4g phone with the epik right?

In this day in age there are many cool toys. But one thing is this, a child is not a toy. You are new parents and your playing with toys and not paying attention, any attention to your child. You stated that she was in a warm car with a baby monitoring device. She has been using a camera while shooting your video, and while doing so has stayed focused one one thing, you flying a toy. That SUV is a far distance from both of you, and both of you are completely focused on a toy. Thanks for your full review of that toy. Nice to see that company's are somewhat funding you for the videos due to some of the toys you got from some companies, there quite expensive.

Cool looking drone isn’t it.. for £150-£180 I feel it’s a bit over priced though due to the poor 1080p camera quality, lol it’s does crack me up how poor some of these so called 1080p cameras are, did you notice the picture image loose shape etc when you move and turn the camera, I would say to people leave this and go for a bugs instead..

Another bugs 5w too. I dont know why though, anyone would pay so much more for this, when they could get the epic pro version MUCH cheaper. AND the b5w is much cheaper too. This is on flash sale now for 180bucks and thats too expensive. Imagine how much it is at regular price. The epic is on flash too now and 50bucks cheaper. Just sayin.

It is really interesting.. somehow they all fail to compete with DJI. Look at AMD with the new Ryzen in CPU market, or Pimax in VR they managed to offer better or more at cheaper or reasoanble prices however all those drones are just rubbish. C'mon guys you can challenge DJI, work hard, work harder!

Their car is outside. Carbon monoxide isn't an issue it's going into the air. Now if that car was in a in closed space like a garage different story.
