In today's video I took the latest carbon racing shoe from ASICS, the Metaspeed Sky Paris, for a race effort over the 5K distance which I genuinely rate as one of the best racing shoes I've tried. @@PatrickStar-km1dm Hey there, for me the ASICS are very direct in the feel to the rebound and response off the ground. It gives me a solid feeling and helps guide the foot. The Alphafly 3s is kind of "indirect". I must admit that I have not tried the Sacouny because the skirting board didn't fit my foot so well. Basically I think that most brands have good high class shoes out there... ASCICS are the ones which suit me, my needs and my feel the most. I hope that helps. All the BEST, Folkert

Hi Ben. Just saw the weather predictions for Sunday next in Copenhagen. It will be 11-13 Celsius with lots of sun before the race followed by a sunny-cloudy condition during the race. Really amazing if you ask me 😀

is a friend just biking on the race course to get the footage for all his races? its great footage and very smooth. is it allowed by the events or do they ask for permission from race director first before doing so? or perhaps only for select races? seems like this race is less formal and they wouldnt be able to get bike footage on a more official/major event? not trying to be a douche just genuinely curious how they go about this. i know some other running influencers who impede courses and cause issues for other participants..

Before watching the video - I reckon you are better than 15 minutes. Closer to 14:30? So I was completely wrong! Based my projection on how easy and relaxed you looked in your pacing effort in the last video.

Based on my current training for the marathon I’ve not touched anything quicker than 3:10/k for a few months now so would hope to be a little faster in the summer when I come back down the distances :) anything sub 3 pace per km feels pretty unfamiliar at the moment 😂

It’s pretty clear that Sky Paris are pretty special shoes, given the love they’re getting from elite and sub-elite runners. But man, am I the only one who does not like the current orange colourway at all?

Yeah they certainly are something special! I certainly wouldn’t mind something a little more subtle, hopefully they bring out some other colourways 🤞🏻
