Now they just announced a recall on the 3rd Gen EcoDiesels that they put on the CP4 Pumps. Letters go out first of December, but parts will only be available in Q2 2023

S&S has been great to work with, I did have a bit of a noise with my first CP3 I put on. They had my trouble shoot a little bit with retorquing, eventually sent me a new pump, and reimbursed me for the work I had done paying to retorque. They are quick to answer emails in business hours as well.

I run Hot shot and I have 220,000 miles on my CP4 pump, but I also do my maintenance on schedule and swap all filters every oil change and never let my fuel get below 1/4 level

2021 pump is confirmed by a tag picture that it's a CP-ISB21. It's been in development for about a year. Presumed to be a redesigned version of the CP3 with higher PSI capability.

21’s are back to cp3’s I’m pretty sure.

Swapped mine out to S&S diesel cp3. Mine is 2020 my brothers 2021 it has that cp3, why?? Cause they had more than 5 out of 1000 fail!!! A lot more was failing! Warranty company should be grateful I upgraded! Love the videos!

My 2020 lost its pump at 26k. Took the dealership a month to get it fixed and they only replaced the pump. So i sold it to a honda dealership for more than i paid for it. And found a 2010 manual trans. Happy to not have to deal with that again.

Diesel truck owners think that because of the old 12 valve Cummins and international Ford I had one of the international fords with over a million miles on it

All 2019, 2020 Ram Cummins have a recall in effect for this CP4 pump. The fix will be to replace the CP4 pumps with CP3 pumps. Recieved my recall notice a few days ago.

There’s a recall on the cp4 right now to convert it back to a cp3. I’m doing one at the moment. The dealership kit comes with a new powersteering line with the kit plus everything else to do the job

How in the Sam hell Is the not a recall on these CP4 pumps?

I had TWO CP4s fail on me within 10k miles of one another on a 2017 F350. I was told on the second repair that the first repair shop didn’t do a good enough job cleaning out the system. $22k for both.

Cp4 turned out to be a dud, do your research. No it is not because of the pump but the diesel fuel in the United States is what I was told. But don't you think someone would have checked this out before they put it in all the 2019 and 2020 Rams.

In the 2019 Cummins application is the cp3 pump louder than the cp4 while operating? Just curious

I’m literally that guy. Every 5k miles oil/filter/fuel filter change/key cycle 5-7x before starting after filter change. I’m still concerned.

I have 2019 ram 3500 first 10499 had issue with cp4 dealer didn't replace the fuel system they replaced all engine assembly from A to Z now 32000 have the same problem and dealer said they don't have part to fix it till end of jun so I don't what to do should I go with cp3 from ss and lose the warranty or buy used 2018 and ?

I have a 21 ram 3500 coming ho, just verified I have the cp3 (or cp isb21) so damn! I feel like I dodged a bullet!

I asked a Dodge dealer if they can change out my CP4 pump to a CP3 on my 2020 Cummins but they said they don’t think they can change that since it came with the truck .?

The customer that had this pump replaced by you can be reimbursed according to Ram customer service. Have them provide all receipts to Ram. This recall will be going out after 1 January 2022.

I’ve got a 2019 and I added an extended warranty just because of the CP4. I drain my filters every month and I change the filters every 10K. I still worry about the stupid pump. I’ve been following S&S from the day they announced the development of their CP3. I’ve thought about doing the conversion just for the piece of mind. Of course, my warranty(s) would be out the window but I would have a bit more faith in my truck. Now with the 2021 coming stock with the CP3, I wonder if the manufacturer/dealers have any program to swap out the pump and maintain the factory warranty. Of course, if the CP4 hasn’t failed, I would have to eat the cost of the new pump. But that might be better than worrying about the CP4 reliability. Great video. If you have any knowledge of what I mentioned above would you please reply.

My 2019 ram 3500 cp4 went out at 52k. Warranty covered it but truck was at the dealer for 1 1/2 months. Sucked

I would just remake the video, going to be thousands who do not watch the whole thing because you stated 2021 has CP4. I know you clarified it at the end, maybe clarify it at the beginning.

Funny now there removing these cp4 pumps because of metal shavings getting into the fuel system. Which is causing tens of thousands dollars worth of damage in some rigs. The "irony" of it all lol.

Well my first truck was a 2006 with a CP3 and a garbage transmission, now my 2 nd truck a 2019 with a good transmission and a garbage fuel pump and a smaller fuel tank. My third truck won’t be a RAM for sure. I’m done with your dumb engineering!
