2014 Sierra 6.2L V8 with American Racing Long Tube Headers 1 7/8" linked to a Corsa DB custom exhaust. Also running an Airaid cold air intake and it's all tuned by Blackbear performance.
" me " Smile ear to ear. Patiently waiting for mine back I did long tube and high flo cat back all American racing. With a custom tune.. makes me so anxious. Sexy truck btw!
Only time I dyno’d it was at an event, got 380rwhp, no torque reading. If you’re in between supercharging and headers, do the blower. You’ll get more power for your money and you’ll be happier imo. The nice sound and incremental horsepower gains from the headers can come after the forced induction imo.
God damn that thing is nasty. Not many people know what their missing by not putting longtubes on their truck. That thing sounds like it could pull a house off its foundation.
Sup man nice truck. I watched your video on the HPE exhaust cut-out. Because I’m interesting in doing that to my truck. but now I stumbled onto this video and it looks like you ended up with Crosa exhaust. in your honest opinion which one sounds better?
Hey bro I got a question. I have an 18 GMC 6.2l and right now I have Texas Speed & Performance Longtube Headers. My question is would you recommend the Corsa Sport Exhaust? Also, if you can help me out with a CAI, I’m stuck between S&B and Cold Air Indunctions. Please help
Couldn’t recommend anything other than corsa, they’re hands down my favorite. The sport is extremely similar in terms of sound to the DB, so you’ll be happy with it. I’ve heard great things with cold air inductions as well. Just make sure you tune for all of it.
Does the tune or the intake effect the noise? I’m wondering how close I can get to this sound with just headers, 2 high flow cats and that exhaust. And Corsa’s website only shows a 3.5inch cat-back sport exhaust that sounds pretty weak by itself. Hmmm....
SassyEmotions not really, you can hear a little more grumble with the intake but it’s already plenty loud without it. It’ll sound better & louder with the headers, all aftermarket exhausts alone sound pretty similar.
Esteban Chavez Thanks for the response! Yeah I was wondering because I really didn’t want to get a tune for warranty concerns but if I’m doing headers it’ll need a tune anyway. Also, I have a catch can installed and it can be problematic getting it hooked up with a new intake shroud (just something I thought I could avoid) but if I’m going through all the rest, might as well do it right. I’ve got a 2017 GMC with the 6.2l and max towing package (so 3.73 rear end). It’s black with way too much chrome. Im looking forward to the project! Thank you!
This exact look and sound is what I’m goin after..Clean truck man I see that Cali sticker police around here don’t ever mess with you for being too loud?
Thanks man. Law enforcement in my area tends to like pick up trucks oddly enough, so usually I get compliments instead of tickets. But anythings possible if you run into a cop having a bad day.
@@echavez530 did u get the 1 7/8 and the hi flow cats? I'm having issues with mines. did u have to do anything with the o2 sensors or anything. im lost cuz I have to do my emission tests
Esteban Chavez thanks! I’m going to try plastidip and see how week it holds up to start with. I was looking at doing it just like yours with black around the chrome and the inside white. Hadn’t see one done until I noticed yours!
Zach Bailiff thanks man, I’ve had the dip on the emblems for years and it’s held up fine. I Appreciate that man, gotta do something different every once in a while.
Nice truck. Getting my BB Autocal this week. Corsa exhaust and CAI is all I'm working with. Can't wait to get my tune done. Would you said it's worth it?
Victor Velazquez thanks man. Definitely, the truck has a lot more pep after the tune. They can change the shift points on the tranny to get it moving just how you like it. It's nice knowing all your mods are tuned and working together efficiently as well.
Truck is nice but too dam loud. I would be pist off hearing it all the time while driving. Bet the drone is pretty bad. 6.2 stock exhaust with cutouts would be perfect for days you want to have fun.
Duc Ngo had a cutout and wasn’t a fan. This particular exhaust doesn’t drone because afm is disabled and corsa handles drone well. Drive it on the highway at 75 all the time with no issues. Works just fine for me and never gets annoying.
Esteban Chavez that's bad ass. I had a escalade 6.2 and it had nasty drone with exhaust. Gotta Silverado now with a cat back exhaust. 3rd cat still there and it's only loud when you step on the gas. Wouldn't mind the loudness without the drone. I might do one like yours
Duc Ngo the key is to get rid of the afm. That’s where most of the drone is produced. You can get it tuned out. I absolutely love the exhaust and it’s actually the first exhaust I don’t get tired of. I’ve had 3 others with flow masters, magnaflows, straight pipes, cutouts. Hands down this one takes the cake
