@yamasubaruger The main cause for the horizontal EGR cooler failure is overheating. Overheating from coolant leaks at the radiator and or radiator upper and lower hoses. This truck had 60K miles on the odometer.
question, are these people using motorcraft parts, same as the coolant is required to be use, fuel filter as well now i heard about the radiator caps on these trucks are useless the only reason i am asking is because i have a 2008 6.4liter and go by the manual book. i change the oil at 5k now i hear these truck can go to 10k. as for my truck 75000 milage with no problem yet but continue to do check for leaks. thanks for your videos good teacher
I see that this is the video for the horizontal cooler, is it best to replace both vertical and horizontal at the same time? or is this just a case of do which needs to be done? I have also seen upgrade cooler systems from aftermarket vendors, are these the suggestible parts to use? or should we continue to buy the Ford originals?
hi i dont know what the answer to your question is ???? ive also been told to change both coolers on 2008 ford f350 got quoted 4400 by ford both coolers off the internet you can buy for 160 dolllars ..... can anyone help with my ford water loss questions
Tell us that truck is lifted up so you worked underneath. Just looking at how both hands can hold the two connection nuts. The video would lead to folks thinking this is easy home mechanic job where we don’t have a lift at home.
