Stock trans ? How’s everything holding up ? I have a babied 2015 6.7 that I deleted about 6 months ago I’m nervous to try anything on it lol seriously . What tunes do you run ?
Trans is stock except the TC, which isnt internal of course, but still kind of is lol!! Trans and engine are tuned by Kory Willis. 4 stage tune (0-3) I think its a 115hp if im not mistaken. I changed and upgraded the flex plate and TC thinking it was the cause of the noise (but i was mistaken) Come to find out it was an injector knock. #6 to be exact. While i was waiting on the new one to come in, i pulled all of them out and cleaned all the nozzles, and went ahead and did the grid heater delete. She runs good man. I just pulled our 43’ 5th wheel a couple weekends ago, and had no issues at all. I do know that i want to upgrade the injectors, but im like you, a little worried about going to far. Especially without head studs being upgraded lol!! But its been good ever since all this. I run Hot Shots in every tank as well, because i only drive it on the weekends for the most part. Im right at 85k miles now, and shes a 2013. Shes doing good in my opinion.
The General’s Life okay well that’s good to know, what did it end up costing you in parts? And did you go with a remanufactured injector? I found one for $220 I believe
Rowdy Garage thats exactly what i did bub. Make sure you replace the feed tube as well though. Its a metal to metal seal from tune to injector, and old tub on a new injector probably wont seat correctly. I think i spent a little over $300 for the tube and injector. If you have any other issues, let me know bub.
