A major difference between straight and gay/bi/queer people in being attracted to someone is that there can be an additional layer: determining their identity, particularly if you're meeting them in a non-queer context. That includes to what degree they might be out of the closet, which can add complexities and sensitivities. Accordingly, it doesn't always work to simply ask them outright. There can be a lot of trying to figure things out carefully. There can be also be a lot of indirect and non-verbal communication, such as physical proximity, mirroring behaviour or clothing styles, shy eye contact, etc. It can also vary between generations, backgrounds, or the social and cultural environment of where the person grew up. Some whom have grown up in less accepting times or areas may be much more cautious, especially if the threat of physical danger, bullying, humiliation, social complications, etc were possibilities that affected them.

I'd love to see a video with some more specific tips! There's a lot of stuff that's unique to or more common in lgbtq dating that's important to explore.
