Tip #4: Choose the correct frame rate. 4k 60FPS isn't always the best choice for low light.

My issues with GoPro Hero5, 6,and 2018 is that the battery drains down to less than 20% after just sitting around with the camera off. That's with all those features you mentioned off. It's quiet annoying when you're ready to use it and the battery is low!!!

Honestly, so far I find I prefer my footage shot in 4k60 without stabalization than I do 4k30 with stabalization. I don't know if there's something I'm missing, because I am new to this for sure, but that's my impression. I find the motion handling at 30 fps and lower isn't that great, especially in panning shots. So much judder. 60 fps is super smooth, and since it's for family movies I don't need it to have that cinematic look.

Different people need different things I do love the 60 FPS look every once in a while. The reason I recommend most people use 30 FPS with stabilization is that most people can’t hold the camera still in they’ll be a lot of vibration.

24p is what Hollywood used for their classic movies. Cinematic art is most often shot at 24p (24 frames per second).

I've just started making vlogs with a GoPro 6 on my channel I haven't used the 4K mode in them yet but will start with that tomorrow, do you know best setting if creating a hyper lapse or high quality time lapse? I know there is a time lapse setting but I wasn't sure if that would be the highest quality etc

Great video! The Mibote batteries ... I found mixed reviews. There are happy users but reviews saying they don't hold the charge if you try using them next day... What is your comment on that one? Thanks!

callatianon all of mine have been working great. The batteries they make for the Sony a7 are hit or miss. I just depends on what you get.

Also, all the aftermarket batteries seem to have bad reviews so that kinda steered me away from them. Maybe I made a mistake and should give them a try.

d20dave The third-party batteries I’ve used seem to be just as good as the go pro batteries. They have lasted just as long and I use them pretty consistently.
