Whoever complains about it not being offered in automatic needs to learn to drive manual or you don’t deserve this car.

I have 6400 miles on my FL5 (also boost blue). I’m extremely happy with the car and find it to be an exceptional daily driver. Averaging 25.5 MPG over 6400 miles is a nice plus too!

I picked up my 2023 FL5 in Boost Blue last week. I drove it 200 miles the first day over New England highways (CT, MA, Cape Cod). I drove the entire day in Sport mode. I have to say, I don't understand the various reviewers that complain about how stiffly sprung the car is. I didn't even bother to try Comfort and did try R+ for a short burst and didn't find it objectionable. What did you expect from a car designed to be a driver's car? I tested a bunch of type R competitor driver's cars (Club Miata FR, Golf GTI and Golf R, Acura Integra A-Spec, JCW Mini). Of course, the Miata has the most body roll and the Integra is pretty boring. The others are all pretty stiffing sprung and all are reasonably comfortable except the Mini which is pretty darty with that super short wheelbase. I think the Type R ride is great and I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely the car tracks true on the highway.

Thank god it's only available in manual as it should be. Beautiful car.

Good job on the video sir. Two things. EVERY RU-vidr that does a review on this car says the same thing. 1.) They mention and knock it for not being an AWD, yet when they test it on the track (like you) they absolutely rave about it's handling and performance. Your review especially at the end had me saying "Who needs AWD on this thing?" 2.) Everybody seems to compare all the other cars in this category to the Type R so obviously this car is the "Benchmark" to be compared to. End. Loved your review and I liked and subbed so I am looking forward to seeing other reviews on the other cars. Thanks.

I have a FL5 and love the red. It's a fun daily driver and with mostly highway driving when commuting, I average 27.2 mpg at a little over 2000 miles on it.

Im getting annoyed about people pinging the Type R for not having heated seats or steering wheel...its a Type R! A Track Car! It never had comfort feature and never will. If you want the comfort feature then get an Integra Type S

How heavy is this clutch compared to the SI?

Just hit 3000 miles in my boost blue Type R, it’s done great this winter in Colorado! Can’t wait to get back on the summer tires and hit some track days! Love it so much, the perfect car.

What is that giant white rectangle at the bottom of the grill? You can see it through the grill lines...

4/'24 - Lots of MSRP deals are being had on FL5s. Appears the car market is coming back to normal, or a crash with the high interest rates. Regardless, be patient for those MSRP deals and don't pay a single penny about MSRP!

Apparently you can swap the damper control module with one from an Integra Type S and get better ride comfort.

Wait so no red rear seats but too much red in the front? I love the red but red in the back would be too much red. I think they did great with the interior. I do agree heated and maybe cooled seats would have been nice

Was this really a 2024 model? I just bought a new 2023 (also Boost Blue), and my R badge number on the dash is exactly 100 higher than the one in this test car. Maybe those numbers aren't really sequential?

I"d be okay with the red seats if the floorboards weren't also red. I'd rather the floorboards be some dark color so dirt doesn't show up on them. I don't care about heated seats. I have an Accord with heated seats, and I never use that feature. Also, I'm from Texas. I don't like the aluminum gear shifter because I'm afraid it'll get too hot or too cold. I'd rather they covered it in leather or something. I'd also rather they had a manual emergency break. I don't trust the electric stuff.

We barely get manual cars already. Therefore the cars manufactured that still make cars that only comes in manual is a blessing. Especially ones like Honda that tries to give people a good manual driving experience❤. Plus if you want automatic car there are already so many great options compared to manuals. Point is that if we begin to ask for more automatic options, we are just speeding up process of no longer getting any new and especially good manual options. Thank you if you read my opinion this far. I hope yall agree with me or at least understand what I’m trying to say.

fun car, but the greedy markup's continue and i'm not paying over. daily upgrade will have to be wrx or elantra n, can get either for under sticker today and either are fun enough.

The small eco station wagon 4 door look of it is the worst feature and the second worst is dumb 3 pipes out the back. I like the color of the paint, the wheels and the display and binnacle in front of the driver. I just wish it was the old 2 door Integra format in a sleek small coupe with that kind of power.

The Red is the only thing I do not like about this car

After driving the Type R and its sibling, Integra, Toyota, and Hundai, I bought a Golf R with DSG. It is a much more well-rounded car. It is far more consistent regardless of conditions. You can get it to hang its tail out exiting corners, and a much better all-around car for most situations. Civic is OK, but it is a very one-dimensional car. Golf is made for grownups and does it all.

Does it bother you that this car is as big as the TLX, an Accord or Camry now????? Or that it doesn't have an auto

Track car that is barely used on a track. Should be offered in awd and automatic for street use. AWD & AUTO, with a few upgrades would bring Honda’s name back to street racing with newer generation.

Red interiors are 🤮… I mean… I see Camry’s with red interiors. It’s not special. 🤣
