A quick look at New Mexico's largest city: Albuquerque! New 60 second city premieres every Thursday right here! #shorts #albuquerque #unitedstates #newmexico #geography #cities #60secondcities
Why do people think that 😂 I have lived here for most of my life, and I have never experienced any crime, gangs, or roadrage. People have always been kind and small-town like. I hope you all get another chance to explore and experience Albuquerque ❤😊
@Daniel_TBR What part of town do you live in? And do you never leave it? I have been here my entire life, and I disagree about the crime and road rage.
As a New Mexican I would like to correct you and about the thousands that come here for the balloon Fiesta. It's more like a million each time. Also the balloons average to about 1000 now
Albucrappy is a new nickname ive recently heard. And living here almost my whole life, I can't argue. Beautiful state to visit or live if you have money. Otherwise trying to make a living here, good luck.
I used to live in Albuquerque, and the food is great! But Santa Fe, if you're a foodie, is where it's at! The food in Albuquerque and Santa Fe is AWESOME! LOVE NM!!!!
Santa Fe is a world desitination for art and food, not to mention historic culture. We have some of the top restaurants in the country including james beard award and michelín star winners.
Yep. Part if it is that New Mexico has a lot of light. That may sound weird, but due to how flat the terrain is, light is able to go much further, letting you see much further away. Its actually a key reason some movies get shot in NM.
@@hellfrozenphoenix13Flat? New Mexico isn't flat. Mountains, Mesas, Valleys, all over the state. There are flat areas, but the state is not flat. Just look up different parts of the state and their altitudes. It varies greatly..
@@R-BURQUENO i literally live there. And yes, its actually fairly flat. Its why the light reaches so far and why its a good place to film (the amazing lighting is great for filming and photos). While the mountains and mesas sure do create some variety in the height, overall the land is pretty consistent in its height and its why you can see for miles further than most places. Go to other states and see how far you can see, then go to New Mexico amd see how much further one can see. Its honestly a huge difference thats easy to miss
Truly no place like home :) The gunshots going off every other night and the car alarms really add to the vibe (I live in the war zone area, most of the city isn’t that bad)
I got shot in Albuquerque by a gangbanger who just robbed a convenience store... great place to live if you like dodging bullets and fighting for your life.
I’ve lived in Albuquerque for 20 years. Just like any big city there’s definitely areas you want to stay away from but overall the crime to me isn’t nearly as bad as some may think. Just stay out of a few southern areas of the city and you’ll be A-okay. And even at that, you can drive through those areas with no issues. Rio Rancho is basically the Scottsdale of Albuquerque and that’s a great place to live! Cops do a great job, schools are great and the city is being built very well👌🏽 Plus we don’t have to worry about crazy weather like Tornadoes or Snow Storms other then heat which isn’t nearly as bad as Texas, AZ or southern NM.
thats how it used to be spelled. the first r was dropped because a train conductor couldn’t pronounce it with both r’s. thats where the nickname burque comes from and why ppl from here are called burqueños/burqueñas
I have a love-hate relationship with Albuquerque New Mexico. Born and raised here but fuck this place 😂❤ sometimes you forget how to spell Albuquerque so you say "fuck it" and wing it.
My name is Ric Knight and I am a Security Officer of over 8 active years dealing with some of the worst areas in Albuquerque. I have extensive experience dealing with burglary and trespassers and I would like to extended my service out and make it accessible for your use. I have a goal to one day be able to assist and provide my community with security services that are accessible for anyone regardless of budget area or risk. Allow me to be able to provide you with the safety and security your properties and possessions deserve.
You failed to mention the best parts of Albuquerque. The roaring drug trade the homicides and the car thefts. Lol. Other then that Albq. Is a great place to visit.
I came here for my job….I’ll never in my life live here again how people have lived here all their life is beyond me a few tips..stay away from central past 9PM,if you’re staying here for an extended amount of time exercise ur second amendment to the fullest extent, if you’re into cars don’t go to any “car meet” there will be a shootout over nonsense, lastly at every green light (specifically at night) wait 5 seconds before u go if not you will be t boned, also makes sure u have uninsured motorists insurance as well because 95 percent don’t have insurance or drivers license!!! Welcome to Albuquerque 😊
More like millions bro, the international balloon fiesta is one of the biggest tourist attractions the state has during the fall. If you’ve never been you wouldn’t believe the amount of people who actually go to this event. You should look up your facts before mentioning it in your video
All crime stuff aside (which commenters here are absolutely correct about), Albuquerque is worth visiting at least once. There’s nothing like it anywhere else in the entire country.
While visiting Albuquerque New Mexico make sure to buy and use a steering wheel lock bar so you still got a ride back to where you came from…. New Mexico True!
i like abq a ton but you gotta admit it has a ton of problems. education and crime aren't as bad as people say (take it from a denverite who's going to high school in albuquerque) but the homeless problem is worse than people say
Why is everyone trying to avoid the homeless people problem .. things are in dire need of real leadership .. the homelessness will just get worse due to neglect
Only a tiny bit. Usually, the issue is bad landings and powerlines, but even then its not an every year occurrence. And when you consider the literal hundreds of balloons in the air, thats honestly not bad at all.
