@John Daley I've duned with this car and have owned multiple rails and SxSs. Believe me, it does a ton a SxS can't do... at the same pace. Yes, a SxS will get you everywhere in Glamis, but it simply can't dune like a proper rail. That said, flip side of the coin is a SxS can do a lot that a rail just can't do, period. Also, that particular car was pretty darn light while it still had the Subi. Prob around 4 seat RZR/X3 weight.
If you are going to spend the money on a Fortin why couple it with a Subaru 2.5 or 3L that is boosted to the max? Boost an LS2 and get a bunch of low end torque. The car looks pretty good though.
Low gravity center, less vibration cuz boxer engine design like aircraft engines, lightness = much more fun = owners choice, also u have quick-revving advantage
@@Catchertony I like the engine, but the setup just seemed odd. You have 600hp and you can go all weekend on one tank? Or your 250hp rig can go all weekend?
This particular one ended up with an LS3 in it, actually. The low CG and lower overall weight is why this car was originally built w/ a Subi, but at the end of the day it's just really hard to beat an LS.
Car is too heavy for that power. Needs much more. Only Gen3 is light enough for a 600hp subie. Just not nearly enough torque. Best car in the sand IMO 🙌
Not talking shit but I guarantee that car will have an LS in it after this season. Looks like he was looking for more from the motor when driving. Bitchen setup though for sure!
