Non narrative video of the two engines as they arrive at Carpenters Crossing.
A close up of each train along with one further back is here.
Closer seemed to have the best echo to me but you can decide for yourself.
A little fun as the engines stop and show off abit.
This was filmed Memorial Day Weekend 2023 during #611 Farewell Tour

Closer was definitely the better sound as it was more easily heard. However, loved hearing it in the distance too and it's such a peaceful sound. So I think the answer relates to what you're seeking.
