I love this approach to meal prepping. You get a lot of the work done but you’re not eating the same meal 5 times in a row. Looking forward to rest of this series!

Thank you Gay for sharing. I hope people are stocking up. We come from generations who, had to stock up and taught to prepare. I know my Mother lived in the Great Depression and I remember hearing stories about no one had much money to buy things. The Lord knows what the future holds but He wants us to be wise. If people haven't seen what's coming by now, they just aren't going to see! From not canning for the past 2 years, i let my pantry get lower than i like! I've got to get on the ball this year and can up a storm! I can't grow it all but i do utilize farmers markets and The Mennonite farms. Still picking up extra at the store, always buying one or two extras! I've heard that chocolate is going to get hard to get so i picked up 2 extra cans of cocoa to bake with! Scott has to have his chocolate fix! He has a piece of cake or a brownie everyday! When i need sugar or flour i always buy an extra to put back. Same way with spices and just about everything! Just pick up an extra and put it back! Of course say prayers of protection over you and your property! That's the best protection there is! My mom use to fix us the hamburg mixture and make lots of different meals with it! I had forgotten! Love the hamburg and rice!! And hamburg soup! Brought back some good memories for me Gay! Thank you!

This is an excellent idea, to go ahead and just get a vase together. Browning the meat or baking the chicken or the peppers and onions, that is sometimes what determines whether we have enough time to make the casserole/dish or not that night.

Good morning ❤ I just want to say you make such a good point about having your head in the sand! What if you find your self physically unable to get and get supplies? I always having baking supplies and pantry filled. That fridge can be almost empty and I have everything put up to make allot of meals. You’re so wise and I hope people listen to you. I don't think you are a crazy person at all! We are just alike. Prepping is essential right now. I agree with your theories and agree that prayers are needed more than ever right now as well! Didn’t expect to see you today, pleasant surprise, and just when I said I’m gonna sit for a few minutes. I’ve been baking and chopping all day, having my three girls and their families tomorrow. Pizza (the recipe I sent you), my famous chicken wings and that chocolate cake recipe I sent you. Making a big old salad, going to try to make my mother’s homemade Italian dressing, she has no measurements always made it on the salad, and everyone wants that, I should be practicing but I’d rather watch you. You will never run out of onion and garlic powder, ever, I’m sure of it.

I've done this before and with some of the leftovers I make fried rice. You steam broccoli, celery and whatever vegetables you want put them in with the rice mixture. Make a well in the middle add beaten eggs, scramble, add soy sauce a small amount of corn starch mixed with either broth or water,garlic and any other seasonings you like, mix together til hot and enjoy

This is similar to how a cookbook made in the late 70s by Tupperware called Homemade is Better taught me to prepare basic mixes like yours. When I was working the recipes sure saved me time and headaches

Amen Ms Gay! We must be diligent and prepare. I pray a hedge around my Family daily, including my Christian brothers and sisters. Good idea to pre cook extra meat for another meal or two, I like to do that too. Blessing to you and your loved ones.

I love prepping for future meals. I hope there’s some younger people watching that will benefit from your wisdom. If you have the freezer space and your store has a sale on ground beef you can buy up extra and fry it up, season some for tacos, leave some plain & vacuum seal it. I love to freeze my sweetened strawberries too. Thank you Gay, this sounds delicious and I bet your kitchen smells amazing. Hey sister Gay, so good to see you today. I enjoy watching you cooking and helping us that are alone and off I make a pound of hamburger it’s just too much for me. I will eat on it for three days. Or make a pack of chicken I try and make at least two meals out of it. You always give us such good advice, in being prepared and saving for tomorrow. I have been trying to encourage my children to do the same, but my daughter in law thinks I am crazy but she spends 250.00 a week for a family of three and complains about how much she is spending and I tell her you think it’s bad now just wait you will wish you had listened to me and bought up extra. She is so wasteful, and throws out so much stuff, buys to much of lunch meat and cheese and it goes bad before she uses it and throws it out. They eat out at least twice a week or more. I tell her if you are eating out that much you shouldn’t have to buy so much next week for groceries. I try to help her, but anymore I just pray the Lord open their eyes to see end times are coming and prepare your household, store up in the summer for winter. Don’t be caught like the ten virgins where five were foolish and five were wise. Listen to your heart and the Lord and he will never steer you wrong.

I fully agree with you about how our world has been changed, I think the ultimate goal is to reduce the numbers of humans on the planet. You have the right idea to pray a hedge of protection around your home. Please keep that soap box out, so many are in need of those messages you feel called to share.

Add peas and carrot spoonful of curry 😘❤️👍🏼getting my dehydrator busy soon to put up veggies. Adding cut up peppered jerky to pan of veggies soup brings meat a flavour to the party in tough times and a little goes a long way.

Made your recipe and made it with stuffed pasta using string cheese for the stuffing .Had plenty so froze three mals to reheat .And have penty of meat and rice for several more meal being alo e dont eat a lot but do love to cook an if sick can freeze for later meals. Going to doctor tomorrow pray he does some thing to clear this congestion.Love you advice but praying to go in the raprture soon.

Gay, you are being realistic and wise. We need to prepare but keep our eyes and ears focused on God for His leading. But we are not to lean on our shovels waiting for a hole to appear. God wants us to act.

Blessings to all. It's the end times appearing right before our eyes, but unfortunate ly most people do not realize it because they do not have our Awesome Lord in their lives! People are going around in circles and for the most part, most do not even know where they are going! I pray that the ones that do not know the Lord will listen to me and get to know him. What you say is sad and unfortunately, true. May God have mercy on our country. I believe the process has begun to permanently close all public schools and our children need that environment, safely of course. I believe our money (bills and coins) is in the process of ending because it has "in God we trust". And many other things. We would all be forced into credit cards exclusively and when that happens the card user can be tracked where they are, what they bought, exactly how they live by what they buy. In the end time that's how we'll be allowed to buy and sell as the Bible says. We are not our enemy; the devil is our enemy. and he is sneaking up on us slow but sure. God have mercy on our country.

Buy weapons and ammo first. They aren’t gonna come knocking nicely. And if you have no way of defending yourself and your pantry, why bother putting anything back?
