Been a couple years since I've heard this ole girl run this smoothly! Let this be a lesson to everyone, don't buy knockoff eBay/Amazon carburetors, that was the cause of the surging idle i couldn't figure out! I had tried everything, new intake gaskets, different intake, new vacuum lines, new vacuum plugs for any unused ports, swapped distributors, the list goes on. Never occurred to me maybe it's that cheap Chinese carb. No replacement for factory name brand parts! I rebuilt an old 2150 motorcraft carb my dad had in his pile of old carbs in the barn and away she went! Now for exhaust manifold gaskets, and brake booster conversion kit I have and it's onto making it look more presentable! I might even make a car show or two this year!
