Ryan DeFrees I don’t know what you’re talking about, in a live performance, if there’s pitch corrections you can hear little fluctuations in his voice on the high notes, as pitch corrections aren’t perfect live. I don’t hear any of it. This is 100% raw. But his dad is probably rich. How else do you land a gig at standford.
Anybody else get emotionally happy for these kids while imagining how good that felt to have all those people enjoying their sound? Not to mention how proud their parents are of them!
I was born in '67 and in my day there was a divide between parents and children over music. "Turn that sh$# down!". I'm just proud that my generations music is so timeless. It feels good seeing kids wearing AC/DC stuff and rocking to our classics and being able to share my knowledge of some relatively forgotten bands with my kids.
They are following our music because three quarters of what’s out there today is not that great…. At some point music can only evolve so far and I think we are there now…. By the way I’m not a prude, I love Opera, Rock, R&B , Pop, country and Spirituals…. So when I say much of music today is not great I mean it as an all round connoisseur. 😎
@@TheLocoUnion music today is amazing, better than any generation due to the accesibility of smaller artists, most radio music is today is bad tho u got a point.
@@pimpmasterfuture9400 The young artists today are really talented. I just feel like they aren’t given good writing or good songs to work with. I listen to some kids out there , who I never knew could really put out, for one reason or another, finally do so, with gusto. I’m in awe at their capabilities. For instance the Hit musical Hamilton is amazing. I wish more people would do work of this nature today. Well thought out… well delivered… interesting sounds and some throwback to the 60’s. This is something I can get into.
My dad was ww2 marine vet.. When i played AC/DC he told me "it sounds like a bunch of damn Japs". What ever that meant.. He grew up dancing the jitterbug and listening to Glen Miller
Yeah around the same age; both my parents thought their opinion on AC/DC counted for something, lol. Well guess what - turns out I had an ear for a band that is now legendary, and they clearly didn't know sh!t 😆
I've realized that it can't die. Humans are building a palace that will never be finished. Each generation will take the contributions of the previous and build on them. So the project will never be completed as long as there are humans to continue building the structure. Now, will the music in a couple generations time impress us? Or will it be akin to sheer noise to our delicate ears? Who knows....
@@JuanDiaz-mv1lg Hey Juan, At 66 I still play & i started when i was 12 . You keep playing & you will still be rocking, trust me ... A couple of links to my work if you wish to hear what happens when you don't give up. Feel free to leave any comments on my posts . Keep on Rockin' These youngster's will do fine if they stay clear of all the BS that come with playing rock n roll.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lJelsuT1UxI.html & ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RHj04fFTrZI.html
It's a switch you need to turn in your head. Also, look just above the crowd, that keeps the nerves in check. Confidence comes later after you get used to it. ;-)
So I'm watching this video it's nine years later these kids are really good for their age I'd love to hear what they sound like today what a power Trio
@@NJxG1ANT I Would love to see them as the focus band for their high schools proms, and grad. ceremonies! Sure would make transition to j.r. high less akward! Great job youngin;s keep the spirit!!!
These kids are blood talented.. Drew and Dave are talking about how special their bassist, it's hard to play bass and try and sing at the same time, he mastered it perfectly! The Rest of the Band also keeps up with the changes! the backing vocals provided by the drummer and guitarist are incredible! very talented kids!
@@nero5971 mmmmmm electronic drums are fun to play, is that ok to say that. Drumming for over 40 years I'd say playing electronic has a far easier way of playing than an a acoustic kit. An acoustic kit requires more feel and touch. Well I hope that helped you ,if it didn't well go back to having an awesome day.
The guitarist, especially near the end, looked so natural n cool demeanor...and jammed like it was old hats. I'm 48 and grew up around my uncle's and this music fortunately. That guitarist acted and WAS just like the old school best. It's like he was reincarnated n just continuing where he left off in the last life. Jamming. Just looked so natural, like it had been many years
Yeah, they can play, no doubt, but do you know how hard it is to put together a medley? To come up with the transitions between songs? Let alone make it work live? This is art.
Odds are one or more of their parents is in a band and taught them how to play, the medley and in general as a band. I give them full credit and respect for their talent too! 👍
@@JustinOhio Average? Right and what did you do at the age of 10-12 yrs old? If they do it right these kids can be anything they want. Lots of practice to get this "average".

Very Clever Comment!! Wow, do we still have pixie sticks? Thanks for the 50+ yr old memory! After enjoying the tasty sugar, we sucked on the paper, and then rolled it into pellets, to throw at each other. Innocent fun.
@@reginaschellhaas1395, speaking of sucking on paper, those of us who are old enough remember the candy cigarettes. Made with just enough powdered sugar rolled into the paper that you could actually puff on them and they'd blow smoke! If you do an image search on [Carter Helm Margo Nahas] you'll find a photo of the little kid who rose to fame as the smoking angel on the cover of Van Halen's 1984. Here on RU-vid you can find Margo tell the story. Little cherub Carter was actually given packs of "cigs". Chocolate. With the "smoke". It was hilarious back in the day. But not so funny as of one week ago. So maybe I should be more careful with my Pixie Stix jokes. But if I ever do find them again, I will be sure to buy some just for old tyme's sake. And yeah, mainlining Capri Sun might be a little extreme too. You might want to work up on that by starting with a slow IV cs-drip.
I'm 54 and a former Band Mom and my son is now 36 and has his own band and I'm so glad to see these kids playing just like my son and his friends did when they were youngsters... He's gone to college and studied Music and Audio and Video Production now, it's awesome ✌️
They are shit so shit In our year 6 talent show we had many musical talented kids One of them is travelling countries because of her violin I am 6 years in guitar and piano Other kids good singer and guitar This is shit
Not the typical kids band by far! Found myself tapping my feet and admiring their versions and presentations of the songs! Very impressive! Even for older people to arrange! Yes,.. I watched this one to the end!! Hope they stay with it!!
Actually they had several speed ups and slow downs. But that all good , true timing only comes with many years of performance , and practice. And they still have many years to go ...
Someone commented “looks like a retirement home field trip” and “too bad they played for a retirement home”. If so, then then these talented young musicians are playing to the original audience, by performing covers of the great music that these “old retired people” listened to in their youth!! We might be old/retired, but “our” music is also many decades old, and still fabulous. TNT by AC/DC was released in 1976. The next song was written by Neil Young, who was born in 1945 = 69 yrs old in 2014. If you respect this music, and the “old” musicians, then please respect their equally “old” fans, who supported their work, back in the day. The last song, by Led Zeppelin, was released in 1971, nearly half a century ago....and it is still great. My total respect to these talented young men.
You nailed it bro!! These kids are great!! Us “old folk!” We’re so lucky to have grown up in the times when Led Zep, Black Sabbath, AC/DC just to name a few, were still in the recording studios!! I hope these kids are still jammin somewhere!! 🤘😎💨
yes! you nailed it. On a side note, I love it when newer artists perform with older artists. In the 90's, Neil Young performed Rockin' in the Free World with Pearl Jam on the MTV music awards. Still Rockin!
@@deliveryguyrx Class of 1977! Lived in the boonies, but saw Eagles, Jackson Browne, ZZTop, Kansas, Steve Miller and others...not much access to the heavy-hitters.Had a great FM radio station and a lot of record albums !
@@michaelplemmons1906 I love this too, when they are "passing the torch", back & forth, one musician to the next! Generation to generation, musicians have been inspired by the great work of the "older" people. The younger musicians listen & learn, and make their own great music. Watching two generations perform together is a joy!
The timing and fate to bring these three boys together. It’s true great music artist are born. Some learn they have talent. These boys were born with it.
These young kids have more talent than most music entertainers these days! No auto tune..! Real music Real talent Real instrument 🎻 No computer sound Modern music take note 📝......
Well yeah, that's because everyone listens to mainstream junk... These kids are average musicians directly on par for the age that they are. Everyone else is just used to hearing such junk that when they hear something even average they think it's amazing.
They just released and EP a few days ago. The singers voice has changed quite a bit. I think these guys have a bright future ahead of them. It's awesome seeing a band at such a young age producing original content.
The singer really has a lot of crowd appeal. I think these kids will go far. I'm watching this kid and I'm losing my mind. He's not like a kid, but he's a real person doing real stuff out there. He's got a very nice voice and he can play up a crowd. Sorry but he is amazing to me. They all are they seem to have such confidence and style about them.
Old rocker souls reincarnated IMHO. Awesome. I'll be looking into them to see how it's gone. Saw theres an Americas Got Talent w them from just a year ago...
Damn, is all I can say. Parenting done right 👍🏻I freaking LOVE TNT so they had me from the get go 🤘🏻😎 these guys have serious potential. I hope they stick with it.
That ole lady in the side rocked it and the baby with head phones got it . Amazing the talent these kids got .the crowd was into it . These kids act like a pro . 🎉❤
I just stumbled on to this video a few minutes ago and was the same age as these young men when I started playing drums in a number of bands and now retired still play! Who would have ever thought ' Rock and Roll Will Never Die "! Job well done guys your on your way!
It's too bad that people in this day and age can't handle seeing young kids actually PLAYING INSTRUMENTS and forming a ROCK BAND. They expect kids this age to come out with some Justin Beiber bullshit. Even kids in their own age group can't handle this. They don't even know the songs they're playing. Keep it up guys, you rock! 👍
Phil Maestro This is amazing that kids about my age have spent so much time to do this and perfect the arts of Rock....If I could see them in concert..... My head would probably explode, it would be too much to take in all at one time!
Phil Maestro yeah I play two types of saxophones and sing and the teachers are like omg when I'm singing with my friend and when I play I play sax and I go to my lesson and practice while my teacher gets there all the people walking by are like wth that's a little girl
Little Jimmy Page is something else and mini Plant has a nice vocal range too! They know how to work a crowd and have great transitions, hope they do well and keep pursuing their dreams..... Parent's ought to be proud of them boys!
School is overrated. There will be managers and agents who finished school that will make their living on the talent and sweat of these young men. I agree with Joe Season that they will knock back plenty of puss. If they wish to sample cannabis when they are older, that will be fine. Otherwise stay off the dope!
I love these kids having just watched this for the first time. Best part to me as a lifelong pro musician is that they played the great music from my generation when those songs were brand new! Love it when the youngsters remember the classics without any computer gimmicks.
Wow it's amazing and heartwarming to see how happy they are at seeing their practice turn into talent and musical genius. For a live show it sounded amazing , and the transitions from song to song where blended so amazingly smooth. Made me smile .
Dead Crowd, these kids kicked Rock and Roll and I was jammin out in my living room. Come on People . I cannot wait to see what they do in the future. Awesome.
These kids were fantastic. I've been a professional musician for ovwr most of my adult life and I can tell you with certainty that these kids have a commitment to what they are doing. The discipline and the time dedicated to hours upon hours of individual and group practice/rehearsals is alone enormous. Not to mention putting together a medley the order, the key changes/modulations/rhythms is an enormous undertaking. Even if some adults helped compose the medley, it took hours of dedication by each of the members to learn and master their parts and commit them to memory. All of this from 10-13 year olds ! It takes a different mindset to pull of something like this. These kids hopefully continued their music careers. Bravo !
These kids were great... I hope they are still developing their talent. They are all incredible musicians for their ages. The guitarist was great & singing too, the drummer was on time, great & did back up singing, the bassist is an awesome singer. I see so much potential in these kids. The fact that they had the guts to get out there & perform for this crowd is gangster to me. I hope they far in life. Did I mention that they are cute as buttons too...
I've played in bands for over 40 years and I can honestly say you guys are great. Work hard individually on your instruments, when you get together work hard on the tunes and your stage show and above all, have fun with it. I liked it that everyone sings and you had harmonies. Keep rockin' dudes. You look like you're all good friends so that's a huge plus. Keep it real and never forget where you came from.
Rock & Roll will never DIE With young talent like these boys playing them U KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK THE ROCK GODS ARE SMILING the rest of us in AAHHHH😄🌀🌋💥💯🌟✨🤯
Splendid Mendax how did I criticize or say that they were bad? I think they're off to a fantastic start and will get much better as they keep after it. they are very good.
united nations are just evil NAZIs i won't play por them or the white house or the reptile queen.... they all the same s.... check the alcyon pleiades videos, no kidding !!!
Awesome ! Does my 55 year old heart good to see the classics will be left in good hands. Those boys weren't even a thought when I was rocking out to them in the day. Keep up the good work fellas . Rock on 🤘
