I feel so encouraged when moms say subjects especially math are ongoing not necessarily done at the end of year but progressing forward. A reason for Handwriting is on my buy list
I did not know A Reason For had science units! They look like a lot of fun. Also, my daughter loves handwriting books and these look more colorful and engaging than other we have used!
I’d use the credit on the handwriting. We’ve used this curriculum many times and it’s definitely my favorite out of the handwriting we’ve tried. You have me intrigued on the Beautiful Feet books! Now I’ll have to decide on trying Sonlight as originally planned or doing Beautiful Feet instead.
Hi! You were randomly selected as one of the winners for A Reason For gift card. Can you send me your email to juiceboxhomeschool@gmail.com? Thank you!
This has been so so helpful! I love the resources and reviews you put out and are behind. I would love this for my 4th and 2nd grader for this school year for both handwriting and spelling.
Thanks for this video. My oldest will be 6th grade this fall. It makes me slightly nervous. 😆 A Reason for Spelling looks like something my kids would enjoy!
I’ve been so enjoying your homeschooling videos! I found you through Instagram and I love your planning posts and ideas. ☺️ our styles seem to be very similar, but you’re further along in your homeschooling journey than I am (I’ll have a third and first grader this year, plus a tagalong toddler) so videos like these are super helpful! I would love to check out the handwriting curriculum from A Reason For!
I'm loving the A Reason for Handwriting - Cursive! Also, thank you for being so open and honest with how you homeschool. It really brings joy to my heart.
I have JUST been turned onto A Reason For curriculum and excited to try out Spelling this year for my 1st grader if we win!!🎯🙌🏼💗 Thank you for this giveaway!
My daughter enjoys A Reason for Handwriting- cursive. I have A Reason for Spelling on my *buy* list for this next year, so that is what I would buy with a shop credit! We are also looking at Lightning Lit vs LLATL for our next years LA, thanks to you! 🎉
I would love to try the Spelling and Handwriting books! They look great! I had never heard of this curriculum until you mentioned it in your earlier video! I'm so excited to try them out!
You’ve sold me on the hand writing books! We have one of A Reason For science kits and loved using it! Thanks for the breakdown my daughter will be entering 5th grade this coming year and my son is halfway between 2/3 grade.
Thank you so much for sharing your homeschooling! How long does your 6th grader spend on school every day? Does he do writing, spelling and grammar every day? Thanks
We school for about 4-5 hours including lunch, breaks, and family subjects. It depends on his self-motivation that day. 🙃 He writes everyday in some form, spelling is about 2-3x a week, and grammar is 4 days a week (both of these are short lessons).
We've done the Early American History for Primary level, and that was my first Charlotte Mason style curriculum. It was our first time practicing notebooking and timelines, and a living books based education. As far as intensive, I was very involved, but in a great way. We devoted maybe 30 minutes 4 days a week. There are a lot of rabbit trails an suggestions for deeper study that we didn't take, but just dabbled in. So you can extend lessons further and deeper than I did depending on what you would like!
I was looking at the same History curriculum! And I have the same grades. I was worried about my third grader not being in their recommended grade level. Having the curriculum and books is this something you would be concerned about with your third grader?
Hi! If you've seen my 3rd grade curriculum video, I was talking about how my 3rd grader operates more at a 4th grade level in general. Just wanted to give you that context, but these books and concepts do not concern me for her.
I have been following you on Instagram for a while and was so excited to see you started a RU-vid channel! I would love to try the handwriting or spelling. I have heard great things, but have never tried them before.
I’m new to your channel and I love your videos! I also will have an incoming 3rd and 6th grader. We will be using LLATL for the second year. We just love it. 😊 I’m going to try out IEW for my 6th grader for the first time but I think we may start out with Level 1A since we’re new to the program. Has your child done the program previously before 6th grade? I’ve seen A Reason For a few times and I’m totally intrigued! If we won, I’d love to have my kids try out their handwriting books! 🩷
Thank you so much! Yes, we have been using IEW for many years. The link in the description above shows you all of the different levels we have used with IEW between my 3 kids.
I also have an incoming 3rd and 6th grader. I picked up the purple book of LLATL because it was our first year and will be adding IEW structure and style 1A and Fix it Grammar Town Mouse and country mouse.
Hi Megan! You were randomly selected as one of the winners for A Reason For gift card. Can you send me your email to juiceboxhomeschool@gmail.com? Thank you!
