6th SA was one of the largest allied formation in the war. alongside the standard 1 armoured brigade and 1 lorried infantry brigade, the fighting in Italy saw the armoured divisions the need of an extra infantry brigade in the case of the 6th SA the '24th Guards Brigade'(later replaced by the 12th SA Motorized Brigade). Later on, while the American 1st Armored Division finally transitioned from a 'Heavy' Armored Division to a regular Armored Division, the extra units were formed into a Combat Command which joined the 6th SA. So in total the 6th SA basically was double the size of a average Armored Division of the Western forces.

I love that the NAtal are speaking english with SA accent, whilst the rest of the forces mostly speak Africaans. Such nice detail again by eugen.

One of the few divisions that could actually hold its own in an armored slugging match, without going offset. And we finally see some more 76mm Shermans. Also, in general, just a supremely versatile division with high-quality units.

It's weird seeing the ''Prinsenvlag'' as South Africa's flag. Did they actually use this? Or did Eugen make a little mistake not using the ''Oranje-Blanje-Blou''?

Interesting one. Absolute gun superiority and will obliterate whatever shows up on the map but if it that support and killing power is enough to push and hold on to actual objectives will be interesting. After looking at Vulcan's build, this might actually be quite a well rounded division after all. You'd push with recon and Shermans and while the infantry is limited in variety, each card gives you quite a lot of squads to fill in the gaps and deal with forests. Anything they encounter that they can't easily deal with is then hammered by indirect and direct support. It would be imperative though to keep air superiority. Really looking forward to seeing this one in gameplay.

114 mm Howitzers are great, Especialy with stuart REME Because you can shoot and scoot almost as well as self propeled gun Doging counter batery when altilery tractor has 50Km/h speed and is armored is quite easy

Spitfire with bombs just deletes infantry squads, and it's really fast for a fighter bomber.

I tried playing this game last night and refunded it same day. It’s just too confusing but was fun. Just that it was a struggle to understand the strong and weak against what. I kept dying. I just love watching videos about the game I figured.

Same here, tried this and Wargame: Red Dragon. Was fun assembling decks and playing with them. Just that there's so many to take in that it gets confusing lol

No its a separate DLC that is not tide to the main steel division 2 DLC pass

Are the driver's of the Willy's Jeeps in the recon tab black or is it just the shade? If they're actually black that's a really nice touch especially for the Natal units. Also always nice to see South Africa represented in games :)
