Corey, just when I think your fabrics and patterns can't get any prettier, you go and outdo yourself again. I ❤ all the patterns, and want to make them all. I think the first one will be the chickadee pattern. I love birds, but also love flowers so that's a must have too. The new barn quilt is also a must. Oh heck, I might as well go for the pattern bundle. ❤ This working full-time is getting in the way of my quilting fun. 🤣🤣🧵✂️🪡💗💗💗💗
All of the new quilts are beautiful, I think yesteryear is my favorite. That's so funny about the horse nibbling on your quilt! I'm glad he didn't do much damage!
I am in love what the chickadee quilt pattern. I can't imagine what it takes to pull this whole project together of the quilt pattern and quilt fabric designs but you knocked it out of the park! I love your summery, happy demeanor and the story about the horse chewing on the quilt just cracks me up. Looks like little to no damage has actually been done so it's just a nice memory stamp on there! 0:13

Like others, I’m having a hard time picking a favorite. But I do love the panel, so Yesteryear reminds me of my Grammy, who loved hand embroidery and who taught me to sew. The aqua is invredibly beautiful, and I’m in love with all the Stitchy plaids, what gorgeous binding fabrics. So sorry the horsey had the munchies❣
Oh my, that is so funny about the horse nibbling on your quilt! Despite what a lot of people think, horses are very curious. We have 2 and when our apples in our orchard are ready, they get 1-2 a day and they follow me wherever I happen to be around their pasture. Your quilt must have been especially tasty!
Beautiful quilts! Love the picture block quilts! I've learned to really enjoy those kinds of quilts as I've spent quite a bit of time this year making several!
Oh my, these are great patterns and a wonderful fabric collection. I really like the Jelly Roll Dash, so many possibilities. I also cross stitch, so I think I will definitely do both the Yesteryear and Handiwork pattens with the “stitched” panel pieces. Of course I will be adding the Barn Star pattern to my collection. I really like the blue sewing machine in the Cali & Co line. Abloom is going to be a popular line.
I truly enjoy how you are very thorough in your explanations of techniques, fabrics, template use all things quilty. I love your fabrics, I am more of a traditionalist in my fabric choices and your fabrics have always drawn me to them. I do like the Jelly Dash quilt, the In Stitches Mini, how cute for a sewing room, and Yesteryear, would make a lovely quilt for a baby's room, in those colors. In regards to the person who was looking for ways to finish her quilt without sending out for longarm services, you mentioned tying, Donna Jordan of Jordan Fabrics has a really great tutorial. Love your videos.
Oh my, love love this collection. All of your new patterns are great but the one that really jumps out at me is “Yesteryears”. Can’t wait for more information on the fussy cut ruler. Thank you Cory for all that you do. And, I really love your horse story.
Your hand quilting video where you list all the supplies, especially the information about type thread and needle size, was fantastic, I chose the same weight thread as you suggested for the hand quilting and the needle size too and it was a pure joy to do it, before that I had hand quilted two other big quilts but the quilt shop had suggested a thin thread and stitching in the ditch. Whilst they looked nice, I felt that all the hard work I had done wasn’t visible at all, so now it’s chunkier thread and I quilt where it’s visible, usually echoing the design and the result is so much more satisfying than before. Yes, there are other videos out there on hand quilting but you are incredible helpful with the knowledge that you share with us and you always give great advice on viewer’s questions, a winning combination in my opinion, so thank you Corey, you are a true gem❤
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the hand quilting series I shared. I thought it was a lot of fun to share....I really enjoy what hand quilting adds to a quilt. And, I too, like when you can easily see all of those pretty stitches----thread can be just as much fun to purchase as fabric! =)

I can't wait for this line to come out. I'm signed up for the designer mystery and will probably do a kit with this as well. It's adorable! If you need another pattern tester, I'm in the wooster area. I'm a quilter and have done upholstery for 25 years.
I use my embroidery machine to do edge to edge, works great. Corey, how you got that big quilt done on a small machine is amazing. You are really good at free motion quilting, they all look great. My favorite pattern is the scrappy turn dash. I’ll be adding that to my list of sooner not later quilts to make. I signed up for Fat Quarter Shops 2025 Designer Mystery Block of the month that uses your Abloom fabric line. I’m really looking forward to that too. My favorites are Jelly Dash and Chickadee. Thanks for a beautiful fabric line again. I like the ease of a jelly roll quilt especially when I love all the fabrics in the line!
They are all so pretty and if I had to choose then the Yesteryear quilt would be my favorite. I like the colors and the pattern. The quilting made it shine too. I really like the barn star quilts too. I have been making them for the kids and grandbabies so each one gets a star but it is a different design for each and they know which one is their special star. I am so looking forward to the Abloom collection coming out. I am anxiously awaiting my pre-orders and look forward to creating with this gorgeous line.

I think the horse is hinting that they want that quilt turned into their horse blanket. Wouldn’t that be stylish? I like that you’re adding the skills to the back of the pattern.
I love them all! I think I might like to do the bird quilt in Cali and co. Then I wouldn't have to wait so long. Definitely doing the sew along with FQS with the panel /layer cake one.
Hats off to you for achieving such a gorgeous, free motion quilting on your domestic sewing machine that had a small throat too. I also machine quilt as well as hand quilt, and my machine has an 8 inch throat space, I’m very wary attempting a free motion quilting with that machine, I quilt lines only, 😅❤
@@CorianderQuilts I bow to you, it’s fantastic and I think I’d need physio afterwards if I attempted something that size for FMQ, as I tend to bring my shoulders to my ears when I’m wrestling with a big quilt!
@@rebeccamulkern1051 Ha...I do the same thing...and you need muscles with all of that quilt wrangling! I had to do chunks of about 30 minutes at a time.
I love Yesteryear and am trying to figure out how I can squeeze one more quilt into my sewing room. I also love the Chickadee quilt and the In Stitches Mini quilt especially in the Cali & Co fabrics. I can hardly wait for them to arrive.
If you have an embroidery sewing machine you can also edge to edge quilt your quilts. There are more and more quilting designs on the market that have been digitized for this purpose.I have a Janome sewing/embroidery machine that I use for this purpose. I have been using this technique for quite a few years. I have even had some pantographs I find online sent to a digitizer to have it converted to an embroidery design. I will often adjust then pantograph (by hand) and then send the image to the digitizer. I've had good luck doing this. There are also some companies online that sell embroidery designs and also quilting designs. They aren't expensive.
Wow, Corey, you have outdone yourself this time. I love your new quilt patterns. And no worries, you will be able to get the grass stains out of the corner of the quilt. Silly ol horse. I love the quilt patterns so much that I don't know if I could pick a favorite. I think if you forced me to choose it would have to be the flowers. I love elements of some. I think I might do a mash up like I might do with a clothing pattern, like these sleeves on this bodice, lol. I have a few questions, I don't normally, but here goes. 1. Have you lost weight?, you look thinner today. QUESTIONS on the quilt that you hand quilted, what size thread did you use? is it EMBROIDERY floss? It stands out so well that I love it. QUESTION on the fabric with the cross stitch designs, what are the names of the blocks that you used? I know this sounds nuts, but I would like to piece them. Thank you for all of the wonderful patterns, and as usual, the beautiful designs of your fabric. I have to tell you that I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about Abloom, but seeing it in a quilt makes all the difference. I saw a pattern once, and I liked it, but it was just OK, but when I saw the actual quilt made up, I changed my mind. It was fablious all made up. OK, off I go to you Etsy shop to get some patterns. I can't afford to send my quilt tops out, so I have to do my own quilting. It limits the size a bit. Twin size quilt still fit alright through my domestic machine. I wrangled one size bigger through once, but it was hard. I also do at least one hand quilting project each year, but that takes a lot longer. Sew very easy has great tutorials for machine quilting on the domestic.
I am so excited for your new fabric collection!! Do you have recommendations for getting started on quilting on your own domestic machine? Like stencils and/or what marking pens/powder?
Your beginning part to answer the question about finishing your own quilt was so good. I love the medallion type quilt with the orange peel sections. Could you check your link to that free pattern? It seems to be a link to a quilt as you go book. I would love to find that pattern. Thank you!
Thanks so much! I don't often do a really dark red although this summer I had Starberry which included red as well as Coriander Colors (which also included both red and pink). Coming out next month, will be Cali & Co. which includes a soft red as well as a pink. If you were looking for a line that is predominantly red/pink, my Beautiful Day line would have the most.
