With the pokemon world, phanstumps backstory makes sense seeing as Ash left home at age 10. And there are many children that aren't as lucky as Ash to find friends to travel with and end up travelling alone.

Just imagine that you're a happy little Magnemite,going about your business when out of nowhere a strong magnetic pull yanks you towards two other Magnemite,and now you're stuck together for eternity. And not only that, according to Sun version, their brains fuse, but it isn't more intelligent. Because of this, it's safe to assume that two of the Magnemite are gone forever.

"Tentacruel is interested in your mom." That's nightmare fuel. The lamp that eats your soul? Meh. A chunk of wood posessed by a spirit of a child? Ok. A child that was mutated into a Pokemon by accident? Sure. But Tentecruel? Hell naw.

Ellen getting freaked out by all the Pokémon yet having the screams of dead children as her text tone is somehow adorable. And scary.

Considering that all parents in pokemon send their 10 year olds off all alone to become pokemon masters, I'm not surprised that there are so many Phantumps in the woods.

The best part about these are the "who's that pokemon???" segments. I hope they keep these up every now and then

God, Ellen is the best. Also I love how in USUM they just didn't care anymore and put in a bunch of traumatizing info on some otherwise okay pokemon.

Pokemon's issue with children getting lost in the woods and dying might be because of how many pokemon's dex entries come down to 'this pokemon kidnaps and/or murders children'

The lamp gag is one of my very favorite jokes and sometimes I come re-watch this just for that.

Where's Mike when you need him? *Golbat* - Never mind whatever scavenger eats them, I'd be more worried about randomly stepping on one in the dark. Ugh... *Drampa* - I dunno, seems like this guy is in the running for _Best_ _Bud_ _EVER_ more than anything else. *Phantump* - Let's be honest, Ellen: you got that ringtone from Jane and only just found out where it was from in this video, didn't you? *Smoochum* - Andy: "I don't wanna know." You know what, got it in one. *Scizor* - The Black Sun cartel ain't got shit on Pokemon for creepiness. *Subscribe* *Orb* - Two-dimensional objects are _incredibly_ sharp. Oh I adore Lampent, it reminds me of some of those classic Lantern Barer stories from classic fables. The ones referenced in characters like The Beast from Over the garden wall, or Thresh the Chain Warden from LoL.

It's a kids game until you start reading the Pokedex. Still Rotom here in my Ultra Sun game had asked me on multiple occasions if I so happen to love to read. Only when I confirmatively answered I came to realise what his real question was.

What would Jane's pokedex entry say? "When threatened, Jane will develop a deep scary voice and start exploding people with eldritch blast".

Just in case any of you are still not having trouble sleeping, the OXtra team had to get the capture for all of that somehow, which probably means they ended up catching all of these Pokemon. I'm just saying if Ellen challenges you to a Pokemon battle, you should politely decline, then back away slowly.

I'm pretty sure if I woke up in a hospital and saw a Lampent, I wouldn't have time to scream before relinquishing my soul...
