I am a 3rd year law student from South Africa and honestly its been the hardest things because I do remote learning and I have tried to find a "community" but it just feels like no one matches my interests,values and motivation for life it's lonely and most days are better than others. Your journey has taught me so much and I really can't wait to see more. Part 2 please❤️

I'm starting a new job tomorrow after working for such a horrible and toxic company for 2+ years and terrified and excited at the same time. I had to take 4 months of break, I am broke, depressed and mentally so unstable. But I was just telling myself that I want to regain my trust and be happy again and I'll take this new chapter as a reset. Definitely doing this tomorrow. Wish me luck ❤❤

Community is probably my most valued asset in studying, currently on that. In my community, we are a class of 20ish people and we all have the same dissertation task this semester and we are very physical as it's a drama/theatre study. During our lectures, seminars and own study times we are laughing, talking, caring and encouraging each other + share our own worries and thoughts about each others BA project. It motivates me to know I have a group of people I can share anything with in regards to the project and that they feel the same way themselves.

I am Christian and because of that I carefully filter what I consume on media, not by force but because I know it's good for my overall wellbeing and mental state. Gratitude and optimism are such powerful tools in our toolbox which we take for granted. Just feeling positive and thankful towards the niceties in challenging tasks and periods in our life can unburden so much of our load and keep us fresh and able to enjoy the casual magic around us ✨. hey jade!! my name is Micaela and I am from South Africa. My first language is Afrikaans( similar to dutch). I am learning dutch because my fiancé is Belgian. They speak flemish but its basically dutch. Anyway haha. I was searching "learn dutch" and some of your videos popped up. I watched some of your videos where you try to speak dutch with your family, and then just started watching other videos on your channel. I just want to say that I love your energy and you are so beautiful!! If you have any advice on how to be motivated to learn dutch by myself, would be great haha. even if its close to Afrikaans,its still quite difficult. Afrikaans is very simple, and dutch is a bit more complicated. any advice would help. thank you so much! Looking forward to watch more videos!!

The word I'm choosing for tomorrow is 'empathy'. I work in a very challenging education setting, with teenagers who are often very...well, they're not always pleasant towards me. Showing empathy can make or break a day. I have to remember that they're not giving me a hard time, they're having a hard time!

I am living on campus accommodation now and sharing bathroom facilities (not with that many people) but still quite a few, and sharing small kitchen with a lot of people.
