I did my total abdominal hysterectomy yesterday. Surgery went well and I’m up and walking around. Day 1 was a lot of sleep and mostly nausea. Day 2 peeing on my own and walking around feeling stronger. Thanks to y’all for the advises in your videos because I’ve been watching a lot of videos leading up to my surgery. God is good y’all. Yessss! That was me after my surgery. If I dropped anything, that’s where it stayed until one of my children picked it up.

I watched all your videos before my surgery (appreciate your transparency). I had surgery this Tuesday the 17th, was walking the next morning ( the nurses were impressed) and home that evening. I'm post opp 3 days and feeling pretty damn good. No gas, no pain, and had my first BM yesterday. Started wearing my belly band yesterday and slept in it. Its so comfortable. Stop taking the pain meds yesterday morning as well. Stomach is sore of course. I've been up/down the stairs slowly and walking. No appetite but staying hydrated (water, green, pineapple and smooth move tea). I had laparscopic (uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes removed) kept my ovaries 👍🏾. My surgical team which included my OB/GYN was amazing. Today I went walking outside and felt great. On STD for 6 weeks. I'm already bored out my damn mind 🤣. For all the ladies about to embark on this journey, I wish yall luck, do your due diligence, and make sure yall have a great medical team if possible. ✌🏾.

I'm preparing for my hysterectomy next month(Jan 2021). I'm 31 with Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, damaged fallopian tube, and ovaries covered with blood filled cysts... I'm anti-pain meds and have been stressing it majorly.. Your experience has soothed my mind quite a bit! Thank you so much!!!

My twin and me are 40 yrs old no children and had hysterectomies same day for fibroids June 10, 2021. She had a 9lbs uterus and mine was 8lbs. Recovery has been really good, all thanks belongs to God. The one thing that sucked was being put on the hall with new moms and babies to recover. 😢😢. But God.

Just had mine 6 days ago. I feel no pain but more of a pinching sensation. It’s been going good so far! I feel very happy

Yesterday I had my surgery and came home. Everything’s been fine except the fact that I’m a stomach sleeper ugh. I had the 4 incisions laparoscopic everything was removed except my ovaries. I have the shoulder pain but other than that I’m just fine. For now I’m glad I have had the surgery. Your videos have been very helpful

Thank you so much for all the information. As I stated in the other video, I had my abdominal hysterectomy on Tuesday and its day 4 & I must say it's a good day for me. They did leave my ovaries so I'm thankful for that as well. I was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer and my scans showed no spreading, so a radical hysterectomy was only needed and the tumor was only 2.4 cm. I'm so blessed to have caught it so soon bc it could have definitely been later on down the rd and worse. Now I'm just chilln and recovering. Only pain I've really been having is gas, but not in my chest or shoulders (thank God) just only in my lower belly, but that is passing pretty good. I haven't had a good BM yet, but I know it will soon happen. Anyway, I appreciate you for taking the time to share your story and keeping us informed. Stay blessed and be safe 👑🖤

Earlier this month I had an exploratory gynecological laprascopy for uterine pain I've been having. That gas related post-op pain in my shoulder was worse than the surgery and lasted an entire week! Waiting on those results to see what plan of action will be. I'm glad to see it went ok, and greatful for you sharing your journey.

Thank you for this video. I know it’s a little older but I’m having a laparoscopic hysterectomy (was supposed to be the 19th but was rescheduled) on February 2nd. You make me feel a lot better. I have a higher tolerance to pain too, after my c-section it wasn’t nothing as bad as I thought. I’ve seen some that with have much lower pain tolerances and it’s good to see someone like you and your story. Hope you’re doing great now! I seriously appreciate your videos. 💜

I had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and the oxycodone 5 mg didn't do anything for my pain. I actually stopped taking it, so you didn't miss a thing

Hey Lynette I just want to say that you guys are rockstars.🙏🏾 I will be having a hysterectomy after the holidays, I go to the robotics surgeon towards the end of October. However I was really really nervous but after watching your videos out of all of the other videos I have watched with other people I found yours to be very helpful🙏🏾. I sat thru all of them with my note pad taking notes trying to be proactive to better help me prepare for what is to come and what to expect ("the doos and donts"). I'm glad that you have a tremendous support system mostly from your hubby. STANLEY YOU ARE AMAZING bless you brotha🙏🏾. I also have my support system I have 3 daughters almost 21, almost 14, and just turned 19 and my husband. And we have been thru so many obstacles as a family mostly with me🤷🏾‍♀️, so they are prepared for this one as well. You are amazing. I had my surgery 1/8/2021 and I purchased everything you said other than the belly band. Everything was needed. I will give you your props in my video once I put it out after my 2 week check up.

I’ve truly enjoyed and appreciate your informative vlogs. I’m due for surgery in May and want all the help I can get on do’s / don’t. That has pain is scaring me but hopefully meds will help. I too, suffer from fibroids and plan to have laparoscopic, keeping my ovaries and possibly my cervix. Just trying to naturally go into menopause so I’m praying nothing will need to be modified on surgery day. I’m like you too, not wanting to rely on those heavy narcotics. Thank you for your video! Today is recovery day 5 of my laparoscopic hysterectomy and I feel pretty good! Went home right after surgery. The gas pains are a killer but they have subsided! Thank God!!! I didn’t take any of the pain medication, which is AMAZING.

Tues will make 2 weeks, only have my 16 year old daughter which has been so much help. I'm still trying to psychically and mentally take all this in not like I really had a choice with all the fibroids & bad menstrual. I need to push myself more like you & walk. Heyyyy Friend Welp I just found your channel today. I HAD MY TOTAL HYSTERECTOMY ON 8.24.2020. I agree with everything you have said. No pain just feeling soreness....in my bikini incision. I looked at Utube so much....them other chicks had me second guess my life choices. Girl I went in there like a thug..... they said you here by yourself I said...Yeah my boyfriend will be here later. All I remember is praying with my surgeon and the anesthesiologist came in and said I am going to give you something to relax you before we they take you to the OR...thats all I remember.....my next memory was when boyfriend came in with some red sneakers and Red balloons....He Said Hey Baby Girl....I pushed out Hey Baby!!!!....He stayed to about 30 minutes an left me for the evening. I was good until the next morning. I am taking it slow. My band is my best friend. Thanks for the transparency.....because I feel like you are telling my exact story.....Feel better soon Shuga!!!

Had my hysterectomy 4 days ago. I had a lot of swelling in the legs but that’s it. I agree about the pain medicines. I am not a big fan. Thank goodness I am not in any pain. I feel the sloshing too. I’m trying to just relax and get better. So far so good. Thank you for videos!! They eased a lot of my anxieties about this process.🙏🏾
