I've seen many of these videos about sex after a hysterectomy and none included the significant other..so thank you both for sharing and being candid.

You guys have a marriage that will last till death do us part!!! What an incredible way to be open, honest, and respectful towards one another during this video. Love this video, there needs to be more of these. Had a vaginal hysterectomy 6 weeks ago. We had sex 3 weeks in. ( not recommending for anybody else, I know my body). I was wetter than ever, everything was amplified for me. My husband said it didn't feel any different, which was good.Im very pleased I had it done. Truth be told we been "on it "for weeks , every night. He said" what that surgery do to you??!!😅😅 I feel better . No pain during sex, I can fully relax.

Had my hysterectomy 8 1/2 wks ago best decision of my life!! Removed my uterus tubes and cervix my cuff is all healed up sex is amazing way better then before the wetness the desire are all there im 44 also has adenomyosis and 14 fibroids so im relieved that im now healthy and pain free from that !! I gotta say the sex is definitely different and im still sore and scared to go too deep but all my nerves down there are super sensitive in a good way and the orgasms are more intense then ever no more periods neither i left one ovary im thankful for that !! This video helped me. I had my surgery May 1, 2023 and was given the ok by my doctor on June 8. My husband and I gave it a try yesterday and I cried because it was not the same. So I came back and watched this video again and got encouraged. I told my husband later on let’s try it again and I was fine. It really was mental. And now I’m at ease knowing I made the right decision to have an hysterectomy.

Y'all had me cracking up! I celebrated 10 years with my man May 8th, and had everything but the ovaries out May 9th. I'm tired as hell, first post op appointment went great. I have been terrified about intimacy after surgery. This just brought me to a place of happiness that I greatly appreciate. I'll have him watch, too. HOWEVER - I used to have a high libido until I started antidepressants in 2016, which killed my libido. Now? The second I'm cleared, I'm jumping on him because my libido has never been HIGHER, y'all. I'm currently more confused about that than anything LMAO. I'm so thankful y'all took the time to film a video for this ❤

This video was very helpful. Your hubby is funny. I am post op 9 days and JUST found out my cervix was taken out too. Had some 'tissue' sloughing and wanted to clear any residual when I felt the stitches. 😳. Totally blindsided. Can't go back now. This video blog really calmed me a lot. Not as freaked out as before. This is everything I wanted to know concerning getting back into the saddle after having things removed. Thank you for this. I've gone for 7 years of having such extreme adenomyosis issues that it's lowered my quality of life. I've spent the last 2 and a half years doing things as naturally as I possibly can to change the way this disease is going but now I'm scheduled for the laparoscopic hysterectomy consultation in January 2021. I'm gathering all of the information that I possibly can and I really appreciate the two of you coming on and being so forthright and honest about things.

Thanks for sharing! I had a complete hysterectomy 9 years ago. I can recall that my main concern was my “sprinkler system” ( not the fact that I survived a major surgery, lol). The only caution I have for you is to make sure you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles when ready with exercise ( very important).

I needed to see this because I am 5 months post op and was worried about certain sensations returning and I am relieved to know its a common healing process 😊

About to have my surgery in a week. Feeling very nervous about all of it. Just watched all your videos. Gave me so much real live information. Having same surgery getting a Total Hysterectomy. Thank you for posting this video I'm in this stage post op, so far ok manageable on week 8. Right now the pain is on the incision, like burning sensation not able to wear pants with zippers, since I had a open surgery vertical incision. Your video it’s helping me to feel confident on the sex part. Doctor gave me the ok but I’m not ready to start yet since my incision still hurts. You are so right when you said the real pain starts on week 4,6,7. I had to start taking pain pills the ones the doctor prescribed after a day that I walk too much or I did too much standing up. For an open surgery you need like 10 weeks to start feel ok walking more. I wish I would’ve known about your videos before my surgery, they are very educational and very real. Very authentic so thank you 🙏 and God bless every women that will go through it or just went through it. I wish you all the best. Take probiotics on the next day post op, get prune juice get 💩 softener take all this every morning. The 💩 situation the first few days was hard for me and the pain in my gut because of the gas they put during surgery it was painful. It’s definitely a experience that it will impact you for life. But now in a good way. I’m still dealing with the scar in my abdominal area it’s very visual. Don’t feel confident looking at myself in the mirror. I hope the scare will get smaller 🙏

The sensation comes all the way back eventually! In some ways it's better! However, it does take time and the faucet can be turned back on even if a little assistance is needed. I had the same surgery in 2012 and I love where I am now. Just give it a few months. When our cervix is removed they replace it with what they call a cuff. Glad you are doing better.

Lynnette I had a full Hysterectomy in February 2020 due to fibroids also. I was so nervous cause of the horror stories I was told. Girl it was nothing like that! I waited 8 weeks before sex cause I was so nervous. I'm sitting here laughing now cause my boyfriend said the same thing as Stanley. He was like the doctor made it even better!!!
