A great season finale that i m proud i watched it live on tv

And people say, Red Bull era was boring... it was nothing compared to Mercedes boredom. Thankfully, we had some fun races in 2019 too... but the first few races of the year were garbage.
2011,2012 and 2013 are the best years of F1 I saw in my life: For many reasons just to name a few: Intense races: Canada 2011 Korea 2013 (safety car fail) 2013 season ender All races on Valencia: Mark Webber’s crash, Lewis vs Pastor, Alonso winning. Pastors maiden win *multi 21 seb, multi 21* 😂😂 Too many amazing memories from this period
@@fairrnest it depends if you have a League on it that you can race in. If you do, then yes. But if you don't, then newer F1 games have a lot more to offer
One more reason : F1 2012 was and still is the only game to properly have a dry line when transitioning from wet to dry. If you weren’t on that dry line, you’d simply lose it. None of the later games managed to do that.
What makes you think ford and Toyota would be good enough to compete near the top of the grid? Maybe after they’ve been in f1 for a few years, but new teams are always near the bottom for a couple of seasons
Aapster TV what about haas? First season they were awful, now they’re doing better but still no where near the top, in fact grosjeon has 6 dnfs so far. They’re a crap team, sponsorship is in pieces with rich energy, drivers who always battle on track, and a car that’s only good because of the Ferrari engine
I still remember myself playing F1 2012 non-stop. It was and still is my favourite game. I would play like 5 hours every single day. After F1 2012, i never enjoyed as much any other F1 game. Also the 2012 season still is the best season after 2005. Kimi returning, Alonso in his prime and 3-4 teams fighting for victories depending on the circuit. Formula 1 at its finest
reason 8: the video you did back then, doing a 50% around korea as alonso, was the very first f1 gaming video i ever came acros. after getting more into it i actualy pickt up every single cody's f1 game since then because of your video:).
This is for the game, but it is still being modded, unlike even F1 2017, i was able to find Rich Energy Haas on 2012, but it was impossible to find anything for 2017
Nice vid Alex, miss your frequent uploads. 2012 was my first full season of watching F1 and I haven’t missed a race since. Sad not to see you on the league racing circuit these days, I’m sure you’ve still got the skill! Just a matter of practice and dedication, no way you’ve lost that legendary race pace 😉 Try not to get disheartened by low views, you still make great vids and I’ll keep watching them no matter what. Hope life is going ok with you these days
This was also my first F1 game. I also thought (and still think) that the 2012 F1 cars are the best looking ones yet (yes, I love the stepped nose!) so much nostalgia. Music was also the best on an F1 game
Kobayashi, Kovalainen, Petrov and Vergne were all robbed in my opinion - all were great drivers who sadly only lasted a few seasons but showed great skill
Imagine the current grid on their current F1 cars with 2012 standards. It would be absolute bonkers! But quite possibly Verstappen would have come out on top considering how good RBR was those days.
I own every codys F1 game, and out of them all F1 2012 was my favourite. I always play no assists, and 2012 was the best experience for me, I put countless hours in, and there was something extremely satisfying about beating the AI around their "home" circuits because they definitely gave a buff when a driver was on their "home track". The time trials were great fun, the challenges were actually challenging and Legend AI were tough but not unbeatable. Thoroughly enjoy the game and still have my 360 so I can play this, OG Halo 1&2, AvP Exctinction, Doom 3 & a couple others :D
2012 was a reflection of what F1 could be in an ideal world, an ultra close, ultra competitive field where seemingly anyone and everyone could get on pole position and challenging for race wins (as shown by seven winners of the first seven races). However, if we dig below the surface, the picture is not as rosy. The only reason why so many drivers won races in the early part of the season was because of the tyres, it was a case of who got the tyres working properly at any one time. Don't get me wrong, 2012 was one of the best seasons in F1 history in my opinion, but once changes all the teams began to understand the tyres more, it reverted to either Ferrari, Red Bull or McLaren winning races (indeed the latter, despite falling short in both championships, finished 2012 with the fastest car). In terms of Valencia, I'm with you. Yes the swing bridge at the start of sector 2 was more of a showpiece rather than anything that would improve the show, the last sector was super! From turns 16 to 25, it featured each corner being faster than the previous one, threading through the incredibly fast but deceptively narrow section carrying as much speed as they can before heavy braking for the last corner. Such an underrated track, I miss it, it's so much better and has more character than Sochi for example
I find myself coming back to F1 2013 a lot. I like the career modes in the most recent games, and I mean they are better, especially with a wheel. But sometimes I just have to plug my ps3 controller into my PC and play a few sprint races in F1 2013. It's just got everything! Very much the same as you mentioned in this video with F1 2012.
Just bought F1 2012 on Steam today, it was on sale and it only costed me a dollar, was gonna go for F1 2011 but I remembered this video so I bought 2012 instead
Never saw a V8 car racing on track as I have only been to races with the newer hybrid engines. the Turbos are loud, but the thing that captured my attention was the F1 Experience car going around the Silverstone circuit between sessions. Jesus christ it was loud and looked so much better than the cars actually racing (2016 & 17).
"F1 would benefit from having something like that back in" Talking about KERS well, your in luck because they never really got rid of it. It is now called ERS it is called ERS because it gathers electric power in a different way. Its used a little different now but drivers still have an "overtake" that they can use to get more power.
8. Drivers were more aggressive. 9. Cars could actually race in the wet. 10. Cars were smaller (not only lighter) 11. No HALO (I could give you my arguments if you want) 12. More pitstops per race. 13. Better tracks in the calendar. 14. Driving style heavily influenced your race (this is why Alonso could outperform his car, nowadays is basically impossible) 15. Drivers had to have a certain number based on the previous year result of the team (eg. Vettel had number 1; this is a personal preference) Should I continue?
I still play this game, i picked it up this year for like £3, and i have 70 hours. Really difficult for me at times but its the first F1 game where i reached season 5. Also has one of my favourite looking McLarens ever. Even if they still havent offered me a contract
This was my first F1 game. I bought ‘15 last month and ‘04 last week. This one is still my favourite, but only slightly. I also got the chance to watch button go down frome in the ‘13 car, and the engine noise was incredible.
Your videos back then were what got me interested in the F1 games (and actually motorsports in general). Since you stopped racing, F1 RU-vid just hasn't been the same and I don't know if it's just because the game has changed so much or because you left. Still would be awesome to see you race again at some point, whether you'd be competitive or not. Also, did you ever consider casting GT Sport? It's got some pretty interesting but accessible competitive races, and I can't help but think that it would fit your commentary and driving style really well.
F1 2012 is certainly the best CodeMasters F1 game. However, Formula One 2001 lets you horizontally park a car on the final straight of the Canadian GP and watch as the field uncontrollably careen into you as vehicles summersault and debris flies all over the place.
7 differents winners, Lord Maldonado winning a race with a WILLIAMS, Schumacher's last dance, Hamilton leaving McLaren, Perez scoring podiums with Sauber, Raikkonen performing good in his comeback, the young and "evil" Vettel, Alonso at his best, wet qualifings, wet races and ofc the season finale. The best season not only because the competition but also because of the rollercoaster of emotions. I can now say I was privileged to have been able to see it.
I play this game almost every day since 1 year ago, think well over 100 hours... Still improving, almost never gets boring ands still surprises with weather circumstances and what tyres to choose! Sadly the safety car only comes in about 1 every 100 races (of 25% or 50%). I'm thinking about doing something for a RU-vid channel..I do it like this : only single non championship races. Start at Australia through all the races towards Brazil. After that I reverse and race al circuits, starting in Brazil ending in Australia. Before a race I flip a coin, up means a 25% race and down is 50% race. With 25% race however, i play 15 minutes qualy session, so around 4 flying laps. With 50% race I go for one lap qualy, so one shot. Makes for different types of races. Than for determining the car : I have the games speed of the cars ordered. Fastest, nr 1 team, is red bull. 2 is McLaren, 3 Ferrari, 4 Mercedes etc. If I win a race, that means team nr1 next race. Also for p2. P3 or 4 is team nr 2 for next race. And last gives me the non kers HRT car. For example I once raced the red bull on monza, but difficult weather got me on the wrong tyres multiple times, so too many pitstops and finished last. That gave me the HRT for next race.... Record is winning 16 from 20 races, won all races until suzuka, one lap qualy and braking too late at Casio triangle and starting 18th...although I have one from last place multiple times. Highest difficulty, no driving aids and no setup changes on the car, i just drive with it.. Personal best at Valencia : 1:38.252 in qualy and 1:41.143 during race (not sure if I had drs and/or most aggressive engine mode on during that lap).
I like Valencia too even though the races weren't exactly exciting (actually as a brazilian it was great to see Massa and Barrichello winning there) the circuit was very fun in the F1 games and the place was stunning.
This sounds a bit weird but i actually like the step noses in f1 2012 because i started watching f1 in 2012 and second i loved the sound, competition and drama that happened that season, this season is what u call formula 1 unlike today
I remember the first time I saw an F1 car up close, I think it was Rotterdam racing days 2013, Nico Rosberg, Romain Grosjean and Gido van der Garde were there. I remember walking up towards the track. No earplugs. And Rosberg stopped 1m ahead of me. I could almost touch him. He waved at me and did a full on burn-out I was 10 at the Time so I didn’t know it was so loud. He pulled away rubber flying in my face. The engines bursting my ear-drums. And that was the moment I really fell in Love with race cars and F1
i don't linke new cockpits(i allways driving in CockpitView), because in old Titles you have FULL Mirrors on left & right side IN Cockpitview!!! So you can observe (ALLWAYS!), with mirrows IN Cockpitview, rear cars without press a button to look back. And greatest is to observe & react on counterattack from rear. WITHOUT 'ARROWS' and WITHO UT press BUTTON too look back. My Favorit was 2013 in XBox, but my LG920 didnt work with old titles
8. It's the only one from all codemasters series which can be controlled with a keyboard in an (almost) not frustrating way BY FAR... The only big drawback (though this is quite subjective) is that it has the most boring graphics from all the series as well... I stick with F1 2010 in this aspect (I know that everyone hates its heavy visual filters, but I do love them...)
To me it seems, that in 2012 and maybe other ps3 games, that the gameplay simply is or happens faster , at a faster pace than in other and newer verisions. It seems much more engaging for the mind to participate in. I see this as a potential thing in reg. to moto gp 08, 09/10 and others too, but maybe I am wrong?? I have just gotten a ps3 myself, used, and wonder if it is worth to go get a second hand ps4 now ps5 is out, but to me it seems that the gameplay looks as if faster on ps3 compared to ps4, could this be so?
I loved the scenery of the Valencia circuit but it was usually a boring race, save the time when Mark Webber took flight at that miracle win my Fernando, was that the same year?
I wonder if someone knows a game since 95 that has the Adelaide track in it? Because I still find myself playing PS1 sometimes because it's only game I have with that track.. Don't get me wrong I do love that old game, but it's more an arcade game.
the game is fun champions mode wet line handling is eh tho, the quali ai is crazy, race ai isnt really good so maybe around 7.9 - 8 i wanted f1 2019 though
