What happens for example in GT7 if I set the max torque to 5/10 and on the wheel I set it to say 5 nm? Does this mean the effective max torque would be 2.5 nm?
I am currently using a Thrustmaster T300RS with T3PA-Pro pedals that I bought used 2-1/2 years ago. I don't get as much free time to use it as I wish I could, so upgrading to a DD base is something that may only happen in the future. But, Moza is the front runner if I do. The only thing is I.would like to try out a DD wheel and load cell pedal first to see if it is something I'd even want, but not too sure I can find anywhere near me that would have a display to test out.
I play on controller myself and have been adjusting to no TC or ABS recently... raising the throttle and brake linearity in the calibration settings definitely helps to get more precision and allows me to be alot smoother when applying or releasing pressure. Just play around with the settings until you find your own sweet spot.
Fanatec got complacent with the initial lack of competition and has just failed to inovate on their product. The price premium for console compatibility is something that could likely push away most of their target audience since if someone is buying a $500+ DD wheelbase they surely aren't going to play only Forza and GranTurismo. Those shelling out that kind of money are most likely chasing the most hardcore sim titles and are on PC already. And on top of that the struggles that the company is facing right now are just a cherry on top of an already failing business.
I found moza to have this weird mechanical feel you couldn't dial out without losing feeling, like it's not nice adding dampening dialing it out because then you lose feeling so not a fan at all compared to Fanatec which just feels clean and smooth..I get price points it's ok but I'd rather still stay Fanatec and I tried both R9 and 12 not impressed unfortunately
@@AlexGillon Alex it wasn't, the R9 I tried was right when they came out with it about 3 months later I got to test it and just found this odd mechanical feel that you couldn't dial out without completely dulling the sensation. The R12 I found wasn't AS bad it felt alot more refined even out of the box just made a few tweaks and it felt good. I do own a DD+ a long with F1 podium but I'd take the DD+ all day.
@@codyzempel5506 Yea that's interesting, I wonder if the V2 resolved a lot of your issues. Either way it's just opinions, so maybe you prefer Fanatec, but I did for a long time until I tried this
I don't get how people keep saying this is an alternative to Fanatec, taking out the postage and getting it from a UK supply, The R9 base is £410, The cheapest GT wheel the KS is about £260, That's £670, If your happy with an after market power supply you can get the McLaren RTR bundle for £500 all in, For about 20-30 quid on top of that 670 you could also make up a Hub V2 wheel. Yes you may not have a metal QR1(And I have never had any trouble with QR1), But your talking 8nm, The best starter GT wheel on the market and a set of pedals for 500 quid, Even if you source the same set of cheap Fanatec pedals for the Moza setup it takes it up to about £740. And let's not forget, both are classed as starter bases.
@@AlexGillon dude.. I’m a fan of your work, but be real. If the great brands gave you free shit you wouldn’t be saying that. Everyone knows that. Like I said I love your content and thinking back your probably responsible for me really loving watching f1 on streams etc But there are people you will really listen to you, MOZA knows this also. But saying how incredible a 9nm MOZA is when quite literally it’s probably the worst DD drive money can but, they are the same price as sim magic and you have padded cells tattooed on your forehead if you would buy MOZA over them. Asetek and Simucube wipe the floor, then sim magic then save until you have the budget.
"Here's Why I Replaced My Fanatec Wheel With Moza" Because you received it for free. This video should be deleted or edited to say as such. And you need to put that in the description not a pinned comment. This could be breaking the law as is
My gs wheel was perfect with the r9 base but when I upgraded to the r16 base the wheel started to make noises every time I turn. The gs wheel is not make to take more than 12nm
care to share your settings, i have the same base and rim and dont feel connected to the car in F1 at all, other games are perfect and ive used a million different settings in F1
I bought the R5 bundle with the spring kit and just got the ES formula wheel mod. I would consider them like toyota. Very solid, does what it is supposed to do well but it is not the flashiest design. Granted it is the R5. The ES formula wheel mod is SOLID. I recommend them hightly.
Its the exactly same the FFB and that 1nm on moza isnt quite an upgrade. The obly downsides of fanatec is the QR1 (there is QR2 really good) and the situation they are in. But fanatec is cheaper and pretty much identical.
You know i had the r9, but my unit came with overheating issues when playing ACC. Then i got the Thrustmaster t818, but it was a disappointment. I decided to go with Moza again, but this time i paid premium money for the r16 v2 same gs wheel v2 and srp pedals so far no issues, but more important performance excellent and just playing with %60 of FFB
It's funny to me how people are totally forgetting that Moza literally exist as a cheaper Fanatec alternative, it's literally the company foundation :) That's not a bad thing, but please don't compare it to Fanatec, it will never be Fanatec.
USB C has it's place and it is nowhere near sim racing. You need a chunky female connector that has solid solder footing, which USB C can't offer. There's a reason why the older style connectors have stood the test of time. HDMI monitors are good, but guess which cables and connectors broke first at college after several classes of abuse between HDMI & the blue screw type ones.
3:13 Simagic P1000 pedals are able to detect load and position, and are relatively inexpensive for their quality. Although they are more premium than the moza pedals.
Im replacing my dd+ with simagic ultimate. Just in case I want that protection of having a unit with a brand I dont need to worry about supporting software etc. I love love my dd+ its almost as good as the ultimate. Its def as good as the alpha in power but the one thing about the dd+ is it always had a little more dampening or drag in the wheel like most fanatec products. The simagic has probably the smoothest and fastest shaft meaning almost no friction even when off. Its just a looser feel which makes rhe ffb feel more active when its on. And no im not talking about weight. Thats there a ton lol. Its just fanatec has this always on dampening no matter what you do but it doesnt actually hurt detial as weird as that is.
Moza and Simagic are doing wonders in the market. Great price and FFB, a standard Quick release for more wheel support, and their wheels are awesome. being able to just slap an NRG QR on any old wheel and use t for my sim is awesome. And I'm shocked Fanatec STILL doesn't have a wheel with a display.
The default button mappings are terrible on F1 23. I get around this by deleting the configuration xml file (which sometimes gets replaced when the game is patched) and then I can do my own mapping.
I have been watching where the items I buy come from and when Moza is made in Shanghai where the CCP mainly controls companies with something inline as DEI inclusive. I will buy my products from Countries they don't hate the place I live. "China is going to start WW3", good lets buy all of our products from them.
The oscillation can be removed .. Well for ACC😮 anyway I don't play F1. For ACC I would suggest starting with the default "ACC Official" setup and go from there. As for the rattle.. check to make sure the base has not come loose from your rig. I had an irritating rattle sound which turned out to be the nuts that hold the base loosening a little bit. Lastly if anyone in the UK wants Monza gear I highly recommend Overclockers UK. I had a minor issue with my first Monza Bundle so I returned it, repurchased and was without a wheel for less than 19 hours. Great vid 👍.. I luv the QR too.
Bought some used Clubsport v3 pedals with brake performance kit unexpectedly thrown in for free from CEX recently for £290... they're awesome and I believe I got a bit of a bargain.
