Also Jovita, I want to add one point here as well. I’m gonna get a lot of bashing about this but guys I m a doctor who is in training right now, and according to numerous dermatology classes I have attended, MOISTURIZER is NOT needed by every skin. Yes, heard it right. Our skin has an inherent property of producing its own hyaluronic acid as well as sebum (the production is so regulated that it is produced in just the right quantity ). And also this thing is auto regulated. I mean when u give extra hyaluronic acid or oils or creams to your skin, body wil sense it as enough hyaluronic acid and thus shuts down the production of your natural hyaluronic acid. Your skin now no more produces those important protective sebum with hyaluronic acid. This leads to dry skin if you don’t use moisturizer, so you get hooked to it. It’s just like a vicious cycle. About 70-80% of the population initially have a normal skin type, but because you use an unnecessary moisturizer which wasn’t even required, body stops producing its own thing, so gradually you get dry skin. Only about 20-30% of the people have actual dry skin or oily skin (genetic) that needs these additional product. P.S. natural hyaluronic acid production happens maximally at night time. So applying night cream is actually shutting it down. 🙂 Edited : stopping unnecessary skin care products for about 14days time wil bring your skin cycle back to normal. Thank me later.
This is true! I'm an oily skin sister and i can go days without doing nothing to my skin except washing it twice a day and it will produce enough oil, not too much. I agree with you!
@@MrJovitageorge thank you for pinning this 😊.. I m sure this wil help people quit unnecessary skin care they have been adding on to their skin only to get instant gratification of smooth skin which is doing nothing good in the long run. Best thing one can do is drink plenty of water and maintain clean and healthy balanced diet.. 🙂😊
Thanks so so much for sharing that Doctor!!! We need more people like you sharing, discussing and critically analysing the information that is out there. Knowledge is power. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Exactly ! People need to call out this shampoo brand called Herbal Essences. So many beauty bloggers were promoting this brand when it launched on Nykaa as a herbal chemical free gentle shampoo. I fell for this lie. When I recieved my product..the 2nd and 3rd ingredients were SLS/SLES. Made my hair like a broom(Nimbus 2000). Ladies need to use their own brain while purchasing things and not fall for the marketing gimmicks. I have learnt my lesson.
I have dark circles and earlier i was so insecure about it that i used tons of different products to get rid of them but none of them actually worked. Now i have accepted that i have dark circles i don't even use concealer to hide them. No one is flawless and flaws are beautiful and i kind of find dark circles sexy now😆
I was using rice water to attain a "glassy skin" with tight pores everyday. In a week, my skin looked so dull and broke out. It's been 3 weeks- I've used absolutely NOTHING except a mild facewash on my skin - no moisturisers, cleansers, DIY and my skin feels even, glowing and clean. Moral- what works for you, works for you.
I remember asking my gynecologist how to prevent stretch marks later when I was expecting my child. She told me I can give u oils/emoluments to prevent the itchiness or that stretching feeling..but skin type that is bound to get stretchmsrks WILL GET them no matter how hard you try! And honestly now they dont even bother me.. they are a PART of my body!!
I know everyone is having different skin type. But in my case regular application of body lotion and no scratch during expected time helps a lot. Even After two kids no single strach mark is on my tummy.
Yes I know but by grace of Allah in my whole life till now I never gain that much weight other than my expecting time. So I can't say anything about strach marks by gaining and loosing weight normally.
I really wished you talked about using lemon on the skin😩 Indian moms swear by that shit to make your skin lighter but it's sooo damaging for your skin omg I can't😬
I love how you're so honest! You have access to everything, affordable and high end beauty and skincare products and unlike others who endorse whatever they get..you keep us rightly informed!!!! We need more and more people like you in this field! Love youyyyy🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hello Jovita! I don't know whether you're going to read this comment or not but I have to tell you this. You don't know how much you helped me love myself more and embrace myself and feel beautiful and confident. This is coming from someone who was always questioned as to why she was 'dark' and why she wasn't doing anything to get 'fair'. Killed her confidence throughout. But thank you for boosting people like me and helping us trade the path of loving ourselves. Much Love 🤗
The only truth you should believe is... That the Jovita George channel is a perfect package for your life problems... Travel - she has it Skincare - she has it Reviews - ahhh! She is a queeeen.. Organized - give her an award.. DIY - she has it too... Do you need anything more?! I don't 💕❤️
Jovita why don't you start your own skincare line? It would be really helpful since you know a lot about it and can actually help us Indian girls as not many brands provide correct skincare to us. Please think about this. By the way the video was extremely helpful as always. ❤️
I wish I had a friend like you, Jovita when I was a kid because all that we hear in mallu community is that girls need to be fair and flawless on the outside for them to succeed in life. I even had an English sir who used to give marks on the basis of the beauty of the student ( and by beauty I mean milky fair skin and skinny body) and all these affected me so much during my school days. Thank God there are women like you in this age who are brave enough to call out the lies and stupid beliefs of people about skin color and unrealistic beauty standards.
Hi @Anita Sarah i hv also heard many comments abt being a dusky girl because everyone in my family is fair skinned. Now i just dont care😝😝 nd no one dares to comment me on my dusky skin. Cos i have given enough classes to them😂😂 The person who changed my attitude and gave me confidence was Jovita. I cant thank her enough for the way how she changed me😘 long time back i saw her video somewhere and i got a click..nd became her fan instantly❤️❤️
Finally a beauty blogger is telling the truth, talking real science..Great.loved the video. Sounds practical and totally logical.. Waiting to see more such videos..👍👍
That stretch mark thing is so so so true.. I used bio oil from 3rd month of pregnancy till delivery and even after that but nothing happened( just wasted my hard earned money). My derma told that one of the reasons could be genetics.
Such bold issues handled so beautiful Jovita! Loved seeing this video - very informative and comforting at the same time - I too have been trying to fix open pores for the longest time...now will just focus on the deep pore cleansing (which I have already been doing) instead of going paranoid about the large pores!! Thanks again for addressing these bold issues - it’s really appalling how insecure media and DIY’s make us about our own body and skin - we almost start hating it and losing our confidence!! You really are bold and beautiful! ❤️🤗
I love your channel so much. Please never ever stop making videos. I can trust that you give the correct advice and not lie etc. I get more excited to watch your videos than any other beauty RU-vidrs. You are making girls feel good about themselves and also helping them improve in honest ways. I wish you can come up the UK one day for a meet and greet. Love you!!! PS. That lip colour on you is gorgeous
I have dark undereye circles because my skin is very thin. They're purple, because my veins show through. They're hereditary; my father has always had them, too.
I know this is strange but I'm allergic to aloevera and aloevera gels or anything that has aloe in it. I'm allergic to natural products as well. 🤣 I use minimum skincare and that's how I keep my skin healthy. Too much of products just break me out. Thanks Jovi. This was a very different concept but much needed. 😘😘
OMGGGG ...!!!! SAME. I wasn't allergic to aloe when I was younger. But as I got older aloe heated up my skin. I am also allergic to coconut oil, olive oil and turmeric. I'm just so lost as what to use. My skin is highly sensitive and breaks out at the smallest change - so I have to be extremely picky while using chemical products and natural products that have ingredients mentioned above is a no no. Sigh !
I want to apologize in advance to any Himalaya fans. It portrays itself as this all natural, nature derived miracle product and what not but I’ve never seen a Himalaya skincare product with all the ingredients listed. They just have a small paragraph of ‘Key Ingredients’ but nothing in detail. This ingredient could be 0.001% and we’d never know cause they don’t disclose anything. I stopped using after I observed that even if some of it was okay for my skin.
In my experience... A regular hygiene is the key... Having a hairless underarms is just a choice. You can follow whatever hair removal routine you like the most but gentle exfoliation really helps in maintaining the skin in general.. Does a particular hair removal routine darkens your skin ? In my experience yes , if you irritate your skin more than required it will, like if you shave or scrub vigorously it will. Does diys help ? Hummm preferably it might help in the cleaning process, it will clean your dry/ dead skin which is great, but will certainly not change the natural color. It's ok to have little darker skin down there and up there... It's beautiful if you accept the natural way 🏵️ otherwise You can always fall for the fake & temporary stuffs and waste your money as much as you want 😊 you do you 💞
dark under-eyes-thank you!!! i've actually gone back on photos from my early childhood and i had dark, purple under-eyes. that's just genetics and my particular skin type! at this point, what i want out of an eye cream is hydrating and preventing premature aging/wear and tear. dark circles are just part of me like stretch marks or freckles!
I just commented the same thing! I've had purple circles since I was born. I recently came across photos of my father when he was young, and yes, he's always had them, too.
You are so Adorable to watch!! I love all your videos. Never stop. The way you said "you know you want to 😀" Made me feel like i am Loki. I love that too😁😁
I'd fallen into the lip lightening lie so many times before. For the past one year I've stopped worrying about the two-toned problem I've with my lips. Now, I go makeup free most of the time and have learnt to feel confident in my own skin.
I think I finally came across a beauty blogger who won't put that unnecessary crazy pressure of beauty lies and make me love my skin, looks, myself. Thank you for these videos.
And the most basic of basic lies! Fairness creams!!! So many still believe (even ones who are naturally fair) the fairness creams make them fair and bright. I remember my chem teacher in high school told our class that fairness creams contain a bleaching agent that slowly strips away layers of our skin, thereby making our skin defenseless and maybe give an illusion of fairness and don't actually work. I have always remembered that and stayed away from it. Now I did once upon a Time try it but started getting bumps on my skin so just dumped it. Now I just use products targeted for removing tan and I'm very happy with my skin tone and only trying to use products that will keep it healthy and NOT more fair than my natural skin tone.
These truth bombs are going to hurt so many people but glad you made this video atleast now people will stop searching for DIY remedies on pink lips and many more❤❤❤
Points mentioned perfectly. 😍😍😍😍 And also, looking very very sweet. Would be great if you do a tutorial on exactly this makeup look. Love you a lot. ❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖
Disha Jain I’m same shade as you! Here are a few really good ones that I use 1. Body shop bronzer in deep 2. Kat von d shade and light palette 3. Maybelline contour, blush and highlight palette in shade medium deep
Jovita, you being a RU-vidr; u r not just showing makeup product haul, makeup tutorials, u r even educating us about skin care and makeup things in a such nice way that no youtuber usually ever do! Especially we need these kind of vdos for the teenage girls; who are confused about whole scenarios of skin care, makeup, etc. really kudos to you !✌🏻
Omg Jovi, u r so so right. I have not been applying moisturizer for months as i have become lazy due to my pregnancy n u know wat my skin has never been better. Its flawless n glowing like anything. May be sometimes we need to give a break. Love u jovi.
Totally relate to each n every word you said. Not just beauty brands but the salons too promote LIES. People really don't use logic that what dermatologist are specialized to do cannot be replicated by salons or any beauty creams. Love your cat by the way 😘😄😄 we brown girls go through alot of issues.
It's time to wake up and listen the truth I'm already irritate by every channel who are misguiding poor people who are so desperate to look fair and glass skin I have large poors like holes in mood since my teenage now I'm in my almost 30's and I accepted that it can't become glass skin what can I do is only prevention and protection All I want to say thank you jovita for speaking truth
Hii.. you are one of my few you tubers whom i follow.. It is great that you put it across the myths concerning beauty care so that it helps people to come out of the shell and understand that no matter what we do some stuffs like hereditary etc is not gonna change
Truth to be said 🙌🏻 I am really tired explaining to many that lips won’t turn pink, dark circles won’t disappear with creams and products no matter how much you apply and how many times you use them in a day 😂😂😂 Expert advice is much much needed for all of us, everybody for not to believe in everything they watch and not to invest in products those won’t work 😍 @mrjovitageorge thanks for being there ❤️
This was a good video. I'm a physician and in the end its about finding good products natural/chemical types and medical care when needed. There are a lot of causes for everything, sleep, diet, overall wellness IS #1! There is no 100% cure for anything and its about loving yourself and embracing your points, which sheds confidence and sheds everything one feels insecure about vanish! You hit all the right points!
I loveee so muchhh the fact that you stay natural i mean you could get all the treatments you want for your body but you chose to stay natural because you are filled with huge confidence and you accept happily yourself as you are and inspire others to do the same. I get so happy when i watch your videos..the positivity and shine you bring is amazing. Plus, your honesty is just wow !! Thankyou for making such videos i love you so much ♥️
This is such a sensible video.I have had so many arguments with people about this 'natura;' fixation .It also extends to medication etc but that's another story . One thing I would say is that please do not suggest or endorse elective medical treatments , acceptance of your''natural' self is the right place to be in.. It is a good think to keep in mind that the concept of beauty itself is flawed in the sense that it is very influenced by the western mores which is why the triangular face structure and the tall skinny body as the aspirational goal is so rampant. Broad noses, dark lips and skin, curvy bodies are therefore considered flaws rather than natural and normal for where you come from. I am very happy that you are putting out the right message, Good on ya. Also, you look very very pretty in this video
@Break Those Barriers Yeah I know. But it's like one of the most common DIY ingredients all over the internet. A major portion of the community is dangerously undereducated about this.
Thank you so much for this video! I did waste a lot of time in DIYs and products and thought it isn't working for me alone or i ain't doing it right...but looks like all of this is a farce... Can't thank u enough Jovita!🙌🏽
You are truely a genuine youtuber. I'm a doctor appointment and I can say you talk logically and scientifically.you are exposing fake youtubers with zero knowledge. Keep going girl and yes I want to say that this is the first tym of mine on your channel
Something everyone knows abt it deep down.. But don't want to confront... This video was like the inner self telling us the truth... Kudos Jovita for making this video.. 💖💖💕💕
Hi, Jovita you're absolutely correct. I love your straightforwardness. Soo many women cannot accept who they're and will spent soo much money to and hoping to change something about themselves but it will never happen. Thank you for this video because I have the same mentality.
Accept it!!! Such sweet simple words.. If only we did that.. Thank you @Jovita we need a mommaa like you to hold our hand and help us cross the bridge!!! Thank you for pulling our ears for falling into all kinds of traps we ALWAYS fall into ❤❤❤❤❤❤ love you sooooo much
Hello! :D I honestly didn't know that people wanted pink lips. I have naturally pink lips but I never stopped to think about it. Sadly I think this is yet another beauty standard that has come from colonization and western media. Just because they get more exposure doesn't mean their features are better. Take pride in what you have. I have stretch marks on my knees from when I had a random growth spurt, which make me feel self conscious at times when I wear shorts. I remember in university my professor pointed it out saying "oh! someone put on or lost a LOT OF WEIGHT". I mean who gives a damn everyone has stretch marks somewhere or the other. We cannot see the whole back half of our body so I mean if you were to be shallow enough to laugh at someones stretch marks or cellulite you're honestly kidding yourself; besides, I am happy that I grew taller so I don't mind the marks.
You took the words right out of my mouth.Thank you for trying to make us accept our beauty. This applies to all brown people that have any gene of brown in them.So basically most people of colour have these issues.Asians (yes this means Indians too),latinos,Islanders,Arab etc and even some Europeans have these issues.Key is to accept ourselves the way were all created
More natural remedy lies told (according to me because it never helped me to get rid of pimples n get even skin tone when i was a teenager) were apply besan with milk, apply curd with turmeric, (this is nasty but) apply the early morning spit/urine 😝 there are few more but at the moment i can remember only these! 😝 These absolutely didn't help me but CHEMICALS did! My Dermatologist was the one i came across n she was not less than an ANGEL for me! 😇 THANK YOU for this video Jovita ♥ I'll be waiting for more of sch videos bcz this saves money that we spend on unnecessary stuff trying to attract us claiming false results! Thanks again! 😘🤗🥰
Early morning spit/urine?? Omg!! And a dermatologist is the key! This is why when girls come to me with deep skincare issues I always ask them to see a dermat. Good on you for making that decision dear!
@@MrJovitageorge yes that Early morning spit/urine remedy was mostly suggested by many Aged ppl! It was a horrible experience but finally met my Angel..my Dermat! 😌 N agn wud say plz keep uploading sch videos.. U r our Saviour and an ANGEL 👼 Loads of love to u 😘😘😘😘♥♥♥♥🤗🤗🤗🤗
@@shafa3897 ohh that's nice.. But sadly for me it didn't.. ☹️ yes my skin is acne prone n in my teenage i had horrible pimples n these remedies didn't work! ☹️
The person who shouts out loudly towards anything wrong happened on social media, calls out the brands... you are insane ... please don’t stop... you are doing good thing It takes time for people to recognise good.... You are the best content creator..... and always always supporting u...... Loads of love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeh dIY uss zamaane me kaam kiya karte the, jab harr ek cheez pure from me hoti thi(jab amul milk nhi cow ka pure milk milta tha🤣🤣) but aajkal toh sab milavati hai,🤣 But fir bhi kuch diys hai jo work karte hai , atleast for me
don’t get me wrong, DIYS work great! I love me some DIY’s but my point was, we can’t expect complete anti aging, even skin texture and hyperpigmentation solutions from DIYS alone 🤗
I can't get enough of your videos. I re-watch them so much. Also, just a small request, could you please make a video on products to be used by rosacea ridden people making me one of them . That will be a great help. If only you have the time. ❤️❤️💕
Thank you soo much my love. Rosacea is a medical condition and I'm not a dermatologist to recommend products to treat a medical condition. So I would highly recommend you see a professional dear.
A very good video with tons of good info !! Thanks dear ! Btw, I have been eyeing your beautiful top and lipstick . Where is your top from ? And what shade and brand is your lipstick?
@@rozeara Cerebral edema due to increased water intake will only happen if there's a pathology in the human body. It's rather complex than just increased water intake.
Sucha great video .... love how you are creating awareness about skincare and makeup products . Most of us just give in to excess consumerism due to fear of missing out . Hats off to you , to be soo truthful about evrything, be it ayurveda or be it chemicals . Great work .
Video is good....but somehow natural things suite me well like papaya n banana or honey ....these are few things that help my skin so much.... after all every skin reacts differently
Thanks dear. Wanna mention another most confusing part of skincare. That is using serum...retinol,hyaluronic acid, vit c serum, antiaging serum🤯 ...so so confusing ! Can anyone help me ?
I really love how you tell people to accept who they are instead of following the standard beauty in trend now...the matter with pink lip,it is so true, but now I just accept my lip whatever colour they are...just to make sure it is moist...😍😍😍
Don't waste your time.. Don't waste your good pot of yoghurt!😂😂😂 6:10 Your so so clear and up to the point and at the same time.. humourous..🤩 This is why we love u Jovita 😄
You have really helped me change my skincare game. I always listen to and follow the ways you suggest to use and pair products together. Thank you! Love ya😘💓💓💕
Ohh thank God for the strecth marks pointer.. That's so so true...it can only go through laser...we were taught that in our derma class back in med school..
I love u jovita a lot but don't agree WD u completely. Some diy's work n can be very helpful . I remember using a diy face mask daily for a month during summer vacation n my skin looked radiant . I didn't even use any moisturizer that time. But the problem is that everyone wants to be a diy queen n they just want to post a new video everyday n make money . They don't really Care whether it's helpful or not . The key is to use less products n let the skin breath n best ingredient for good skin Is happiness. Staying happy n positive attitude towards life n skin will repair naturally.
