I am just starting to grow my eBay business and this video of yours just came out of Heaven. Thank you very much for being unselfish in sharing your knowledge!
The people at ebay (on the phone) don't know one tenth of what I learned here. Fastastic. All my stuff is one the first page and I dropped prices to make sales. Thanks so much.
Luke, what if you resell our own things that you have at home and you do not have 10 of the same? How do I know if it sell on not. Do I still have to go to sold and check how many items were sold, and than what? List and than how to calculate the price, do I have to check out the similar item and price similar? Thank you for your answer...
Yes, this is very highly important lesson, beginning from 1st step of how to rank listing, a hard lesson he's describing simply to understand. Got a good understanding about listing. Thank u very much for giving this great opportunity before listing.
Putting a dash (-) is a negative (means don't search the word after the dash) Ex: -home -room -closet . Give it a try in your Ebay searches, you'll see what I mean.
You Really should explain that you purchased 1000 units to start with and what the Landed Cost was Altogether as most people don't know how to do pricing . So that when you want to do this type of Sales , you need to outlay some Cash in Advance and if you don't sell any units , you are out of the Money . $10.00 per unit . 100 units minimum purchased from Wholesaler = $1000.00 plus shipping and fees to your location = Your Landed Cost . Shipping @ $75.00 . So now you need to divide that total by the number of units . $1075.00 / 100 = $10.75 or .75 cents per unit . So from there you can figure out what your best starting price will be . Unit Cost X 1.5 . $10.75 X 1.5 =$16.125 - $10.75= $5.37 Profit . before shipping cost . You can also do it at 2 or 3 times mark up . This is Basic Retail methods . Do your research on Correct Pricing Methods and your Product . Other wise this was a good basic presentation .
ebay favors business sellers as they pay store subscriptions, which is why private sellers have trouble selling items as their items don't come up in search results
i've got 87 items listed at low prices, and haven't had a sale in 3 months, even put items in the right categories with good descriptions, so what your saying in the video is complete rubbish. but i refuse to sell off my stock to pawn shops.
TV Tech I’ve had success with this, and obviously so have others that create your listings correctly... Is your account below standard by chance? How are you saving your pictures? Do you have good key words? Just because your description is good, means nothing when talking about ranking. Maybe your listings look good to you, but for ranking on eBay, they seem to be “rubbish”. 🤷♂️
@@xxtremelion i've done everything right, buyers are just cheapskates, and i've proved this theory by putting some items really cheap and then i get sales, but thats no way to run a business, another reason could be due to sellers undercutting each other. i don't want to sell on ebay anymore as fees and postage is too high, and there are too many scammers on ebay.
@@healthbeauty7853 what are u selling? I think electronics and luxury items sell faster because of the reduce in price. I personally never buy clothes etc.. on ebay when the mall is next to my house quid clearance is available for cheap prices lol
AWESOME!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! God bless you, may your children marry rich and you hit the lottery, although looks like you already have!!
Followed the step by step process and I am on page one 4th listing down! Thank you so very much for taking the time to share this video. More Videos please. 5 Stars Thank you
Great info. Thank you. Couple of follow up questions. 1. For copy and paste description: does it work the same way if I copy from somewhere other than EBay such as Etsy or an online store? What about my typing into Word and copying from there? (I have shipping info that’s always the same). Does this work the same in the multi listing page where you can edit many listings at once? 2. Does Cassini search for keywords anywhere but the title? For instance if someone searched with a color as one of the keywords, and I have the color in the description or in specifics, but not in the title, would it find it? 3. Is there anything besides keywords that affects a listing showing up in a search? I’ve had EBay listings show up when I searched Google that didn’t pop up on EBay though I had matching key words.
Two questions: Is it not better to use only few words for the title so the people can find you easier? And, If an item doesn't sell the first couple of days, do you remove it or what?
Al Bull the more specific you are, the less your competition is. If you search for 2 words, like “laser pointer”, you are competing with over 2 million other listings with same keywords. If you search for “green beam high power laser pointer pen”, you will see maybe 2,000 listings to compete with. Much better odds the more keywords you provide. If I make a listing that doesn’t do well, I will keep tweaking it until it does well. Switch up keywords, pictures, and description. Hope this helps!
Hi, in your course you are mentioning your items are located in China but then when you go through creating a new listing you mention in your description that the items are being shipped from Texas ????
You are the most honest in the world of business online! Thank you so much, Sir! But I'm not obliged to get many accounts on eBay to list new products?
Brother , Is there any of what you covered here has updated by E-bay lately ? and If it's yes , Can you suggest a place to search for what's changed ? Cause this is the end of 2018 as you See :) Thanks for your advises !
Hi Luke. You mentioned that you list each item on 5 different accounts. Are all those identical (title, description, etc...)? Thanks! Looking forward to watching more of your stuff.
Bob Wasilewski the listing are very similar but not identical. I change the title around some and have a slightly different price. Pennies difference. 👌🏼
Are your listed items "drop shipped" from a source in the US so that you do not have to inventory/package/ship? If so, I guess you must source a supplier that has good inventory practices --- like a Walmart, Home Depot, etc? I love the ebay listing technique. Really excellent. Just would sure like to avoid "handling". What are your thoughts?
tcooperb in this video, all items I sell are in my possession. However in the last year, I started a drop shipping account, and I’m currently selling a few things a day, profiting anywhere from $5 dollars to $500 dollars per item. ;) Both work well. So I do both now!
Appreciate the tips! Curious re: editing descriptions outside of eBay before pasting them in - why can't we simply edit within the eBay form? I would think changing the information, regardless of where, would still prevent the duplicate listing issue, no?
You talk about the importance of having the title in the listing three times: title, photos, and description. Does this really make a difference? Does eBay give priority to the listing with more repeats of the searched word? Thanks for video!
Is there a way to contact you? I would like to see if you could offer a training on this. I would be very interested in learning this in detail. Not sure if you do paid trainings or not, but I am interested.
Great video. I will be trying these tips out today. Its a shame we had pictures taken before knowing Ebay prefers white backgrounds. Some of our pictures we are going to have redone anyways as they do not do the garment justice. With regards to renaming the pics with the title, if I have multiple pics is it okay to just rename one of them? I have already cropped and edited some of them and have tried to put upto 12 pics per listing, so to rename, reload & re-crop/edit each pic in ebay will take a long time for each of the 40 listings I have (especially as I will have to do many of them again when the new pics come in).
Hey...this is good really and also you can try with next level ninjas. they are supper safe to reach top most view in short time and it is fully saffty.
Thank you for this I'm just a newbie in this industry, in case of returned item, it will be shipped back to your address? and you will ask for a new item where you bought it right? so basically you'll be losing money on returned items? how to deal with that much smarter? thank you
CryptoGM News good question. - if your item is as described in the listing, you won’t have many returns. Over deliver, and you won’t have to worry much about returns. Sometimes you have to eat the loss, and continue on with business. Don’t get emotional over it, just continue to sell. That’s part of the game sometimes.
Nice video but I think when our images uploaded on Ebay the filenames changed. So, why we must rename them using our title if the name changed after uploading?
OK, but if I save my 1st photo under i.e. small-kitchen-table.jpg filename, after my listing will published and I try to download the 1st photo to my computer, I will not take the original filename I uploaded on Ebay but something like this: s-l1600.jpg. Where are my keywords? That's my issue.
Hi, great video!! But I want to ask; how do you source products? How do you manage to get products at cheaper prices? Thanks for such an informative video...
If your initial price is much less than market price, what would happen if one person bought all of your massagers at 18.95 at one day to resel them later? Is this scenario likely to happen?
com great question. If market price is $20, and you list it for $17, and someone buys you out to resell them, they would have to list them for at least $23 to profit less than $.50 cents, depending on shipping cost. It just would not be worth it. Not enough price break to become a wholesale price. I would have to sell them for $12-13 to be worth it to resell at market price.
This is from 2015. Do U have an update version since there have been many changes in the eBay logarithms? OR is this still viable? Thank you - very informative!
Hey Luke its 10 months later from your reply...with ebay's recent changes do you still do the same as above...wanted to tell you I started to 10 months ago and sales are def better than last year! Thanks!
Diana Klenk there are now a few extra things added for 2018. I will make new videos going over this. Subscribe to stay tuned! Glad to know you are doing better using my formula! Kudos 👌🏼
FHTPlus it all depends on the price range of your item. With $15-20 dollar item, you may change the price by $1-2 dollars at a time. If your item is $100, then you will maybe change your price by $5 dollars each time. As far as breaking even when first making the listing, if that’s what you have to do to be the cheapest, then do it! As long as you are the cheapest on eBay. 🔑
WallyDavid if you are drop shipping, I suggest having a minimum of 1,000 listings.. I would guess you’d be making an average of $3,000 per month profit with this many listings. Of course it depends what products and pricing too.
@@xxtremelion No, I'm talking about competition. If you want to dropship an item to sell, do you check the number of listings/ competition on Ebay before you list it? So what's considered too much competition? 200 listings of the item ? 4000? Thanks btw
