Not sure. I think my tip is not to smell old. Lol don’t wear perfume that smells like 20 year old perfume. Sometimes I think people adjust to the smell of their perfume and think they need more. Definitely not a good idea. The perfume I like the least is the smell of old baby powder/old avon perfume lol. When in doubt - just use soap. Always smells fresh and clean. 😂
I am mid-60s. Some time during my 50s I switched from foundation to tinted moisturizer (appled with a brush). Couple of years ago I ditched liquid black eyeliner in favour of a smudged dark grey pencil line. Have also embraced grey hair and have a bevelled bob. All worked positively for me 😊
I love the idea of taking a photo so we can be more objective. This makes so much sense. I think the same is true for makeup colors. When we've worn the same colors for many years, it can be disconcerting and uncomfortable to make a change--even if it's a better color for us--and taking an objective look at a photo can help.
I live in a private 55+ adult community. I'm astonished at how the women here have all adopted a similar look, which is baggy, shapeless khaki pants with baggy, shapeless t-shirts to match. They all sport boyish haircuts and wear minimal to no makeup. From a distance it's impossible to distinguish them from their husbands who dress the same! It's no wonder I'm referred to as the stylish one; but truly it's primarily because I dress like a woman. I love pretty dresses, delicate sandals, makeup, classic handbags, longer hair with movement, and feminine colours that suit me perfectly. Mature women who dress like old men just age themselves dramatically. It's as though they think they no longer need to present themselves as women now that they’re past menopause. Have you considered doing a segment on this bizarre and pervasive phenomenon?
I understand, I see it all of the time. There are a lot of reasons behind it but mostly I think it's because it's easier to follow the crowd and not stand out. I hadn't thought of it but it would probably be a great topic. Thanks!

Since menopause my curves changed from a pear shape to a rectangle. It's taken a lot of focus to shift away from styles that used to work. My body does not feel like my own, with menopause symptoms..... and weight gain has been a constant issue. I'm still about 15 pounds heavier than I know is best for my frame. With all these changes, it is tempting to just give up. I know that how I look affects how I feel and how I navigate through life. So, I keep at it, but I understand why someone might not bother. ❤
Top tips Sheila, thank you ❤ for me, wearing my best colours especially near my face, make me light up. I don't want to look young, just put together! I also always compliment a lady if she looks good, wears a great colour that suits her or just looks fabulous. We need to share the love 🎉❤
I saw an older women who looked great in her dress and shoes and complimented. She blossomed and told me she had cleaned out wardrobe and only wears what fits. 🎉
Great video! Taking a full length pic of yourself on your phone and looking at it a day or two later really points out flaws with your look! You are right that we should all be doing that regularly.
I'm West Indian and mom was a seamstress,I followed her guidelines on some of your guide lines,this year I'm going to be 80 and I'm always complimented by others on the way I dress.
Last year at age 72 I had my colors done. My closet was all black and gray--I found out I was an autumn. I changed my entire wardrobe and found that I immediately started getting compliments. People said "You look beautiful " I noted they said "you" and not the outfit or the color. My best friend had always told me I wore too much black--she was right! At 73 I dress stylish and my Sunday School kids think I am 50 years old. My grandkids say "you look like a mon!" Ahhhhhhh. Love your videos.

I’m over 69 & don’t wear black tops unless I wear something with color between my face & shoulders . I also don’t use a lot of powder or a super Matt foundation . I try to keep my skin dewy looking ❤😊👍🏻
I was always referred to as the DIVA. I guess that’s what happens when u refuse to wear those sloppy, baggy, non-flattering outfits. Well even tho I’m retired now I still put on make up, & style my hair every morning just like I’ve always done . Some days I even wear a dress when I have no particular place to go. I get asked quite often why I’m so dressed up but to me that’s just a natural thing to do. And I always remember to ck myself in the mirror before leaving the house & i do love yr advice to take a pic of yourself as well. LOVE YR VIDEOS & WONDERFUL ADVICE. U look Beautiful !
Thank you so much Evelyne. I'm very happy to hear that, I feel exactly the same way. Taking care of yourself doesn't make you a DIVA (that's a self-absorbed woman) they probably didn't realize what it means, but you might inspire others to take care of themselves more.

I have naturally curly grey/white hair now - and am quite happy with it. My changes this year involve losing over 45 pounds. Exercise! Healthy lifestyle choices, and a commitment to health and self love. Joining a Petite Clothing group has also made a difference, in that I see modelling by others like me. Life is good, and thinking about clothing is youthful. I enjoy your videos very much.
My uniform is all black, I do not have a choice in that. I am 62, my hair is sliver to steel grey and long, hazel eyes, light beige skin with light freckles... what do I do?
Some good tips. I just found your channel and watched a video of yours from 4 weeks ago. I do think your hairstyle in this video is so stylish and more youthful.
1. Color your hair so it doesn't look gray or "highlighted" (always looks gray). 2. Wear lighter lipstick but outline your lips. 3. Grow your hair out. 4. Wear silver jewelry that isn't heavy. 5. Wear fashions a 35-40 year-old could wear. 6. Don't overdo the makeup (especially foundation and false eyelashes). 7. Consider Botox or filler in moderate amounts. 8. Lose weight by eating only healthy foods. 9. Stop drinking hard liquor. 10. Exercise every day.
IMO…. Lightened blondish hair or continuing to dye your hair, SOMETIMES ages a woman more than her own natural grey hair! Some women think they will never allow their grey hair, and I am ok with their choices. But grey hair often looks amazing on women! I look better now with my longer grey hair than I did dying my dark hair! I will never go back…. Wish I had gone grey earlier! Everyone’s ideas are different, and that is OK. We all get a choice…. Just make sure YOU make your own, and that it works FOR you, and should you go grey, be sure to adjust your makeup so people see YOU AND NOT JUST YOU GREY HAIR! You don’t want go look washed out, regardless of your hair color!
I don’t have the body of a 35-40 year old why would I want to dress like one. Nor do I have the money for Botox. I want to age gracefully, not go into battle every day.
You are so correct with the makeup. For some reason you can't wear as much as you did when you were younger. I guess the skin is more washed out / gray. The heavy eyeliner is so distracting especially with light hair color. I wish people would get away from the black eyeshadow these days. It looks creepy to me The darks eyes and light hair are not attractive in any way; as said, too much contrast
I am 71 and do not look older than my age. However, I do not strive to look younger than my age. I find it amusing, though, when women younger than I am insist I CAN'T be 71 because they look older than I do. Somehow, their make-up doesn't seem to do the trick. Be happy with yourself and that will show through more than make-up.
All your points are enigmatic. Give us pictures and explain please. Most of don’t know our proportions or what lengths are correct for our body type. We need pictures
Hi Ellen, There aren't any pictures of the lengths and proportions are best for you and your body type that I can show you because we are all different (height, weight, shape, colour, frame, etc..). To know your best lengths you'd need a style consultation. There are general rules of how to change your look but they are - general - and I do mention those in my videos but specifics requires measuring.

Since you asked . . . Eat healthy! If it comes in a box, then it probably is not your most healthy choice. Watch RU-vid videos to learn about healthy eating. Enlist others in your household to join you in your healthy eating journey. One possible outcome may be that will drop some weight. That will probably result in a more youthful look and yes, better sex.
Losing weight after 70 often makes a person look older, wrinkly and sunken in. Eat your fruits and vege’s, but also enjoy yourself. You ,at not have many years left.

I haven't talked about false eyelashes because I don't talk about makeup in my videos (usually) and I leave those topics for one-on-one sessions. I wear eyelashes when I go out but not as every day makeup,

Why do most woman of a certain age chop their hair into that longer in the front and practically shaved in the back style, or the pouf on top that makes them look like a q tip? It’s like a club that automatically places you into the “old” category by others.
You're right, that haircut is not great. However, it's better than an over fifty woman, with parted in the middle, long flat hair that ages her 15 years. When is that going to go away??😩
Many women are embracing their grey hair. "Grey is the new blond. "It is worse seeing grey roots and dry over colored hair. A flattering hair cut is more important.
