Whipper root shares CD with mana gems and health stones btw. Tidal Charm is also good on mages and rogues as in vanilla you cannot have enough of CC. Also Tidal Charm isn't affected by diminishing returns on CC so if shit really hits the fan you're still able to CC.
@@Frostadamus Like why waste combo points on stun if you could just trinket stun... just a thought. but maybe it's more usefull as a range cc or interrupt.
I love and live non-profession gadgets, plus they're absolutely necessary if you go petless for RP reasons. Thanks for this great compilation including some of my favourites, and introducing me to a couple new ones!
I know it's only really good at high end because of when you get it, but no Chain of Eranikus mention? Granted it has a cd but if you're pretty sure there is a stealthy nearby poisoning them while they're stealthed is still pretty useful, if niche.
Am i the only one missing Gadgets in current WoW? Engi was such a fun profession with all the items and all the mob drops gave you some nice person specific tactics. I spend hours of playtime thinking about items/spell/gameplay combinations, since there werent really any Website guides for tactics, as far as i now. (but i honestly doubt that this will return, since guides and helping outside sources are a huge part of even the privat classic servers now)

large rope nets were removed from drop tables sometime during vanilla, doubt they'll be available on classic. as a warlock looking to fuck over warriors and rogues in BGs I looked hours for nets from the dragonmaw orcs in wetlands which they were removed from as well as the murlocs only to find out later that they were removed from the droptables and the only source that remains that tells you these drop were old alkazham and thottbot entries which weren't updated after the patch removing them from the droptables.
Messing with tidal charm on lightshope's darrowshire. It's got a 30yrd range and you don't even need to face the target!?! Can anyone confirm this is how it's supposed to work?
and each have like an hour to 30min CD and are kinda near impossible get. Yes, im refering to the tidal charm...all in all, *not worth it* i found. As it took me months to get and i just ended up throwing it in bank. You're better off with the pvp trinkets from Warsong and AB. They have fast cooldowns and youll see much more use from them. Please avoid driving yourself mad getting this trinket like i did. I also made the mistake way back in the day of selling the SOID as i thought it was useless lol. YES. It's very easy to laugh at us...but we didnt have guides back in 2004-2005 we didnt know what would work or what wouldnt work. People keep saying, vanilla looks easy. Yeah it looks easy now we all these guides and walkthroughs. But we were pioneers venturing into the unknown.
I loved that trinket with my retri paladin, as it offered extra burst dmg. I was lucky to obtain it very early in vanilla, while I was swimming (around lvl:40) omw to Scarlet, accidentally stumbling on it while checking a mining node.
Everyone forgets the Discombobulator Ray! www.wowhead.com/item=4388/discombobulator-ray Not amazing at max level, but in low level PvP it basically renders every class and spec fairly impotent, and can gimp low level players to NEGATIVE attack or spell damage values. In early WoW, using it would dismount your target as well! It also doesn't require engineering to use, so you can give it to friends :D Stat reductions aside, most people panic and get flustered when they realize they've been poofed into a sickly green gnome.

I feel depending on class the best trinket is the pvp trinket and engineering for pvp. If you have the gear. all these trinkets are supercool and fun though.

It's mostly the same, but with some differences. For example, you have moved the minimap, changed player and target frames. I think alot of people would like to have this updated version instead of the older clean ui version you have.
You forgot the trinket from underlord buttholes, in the Fudgepacker Halls, on a 2 hour cooldown, works like the flaming piccolo, when used, causes all nearby players to /yell ''IM GAY''. You probably hear this one alot so you just didn't want to include it. Kind of a neat little item

Back during classic on my very first character, I stumbled upon the mob that dropped tidal charm and actually got it... Had no idea it was so good/sought after and vendored it because I thought my rogue had enough stuns already.

@Frostadamus You're right getting rep with the Timbermaws isn't that hard. But you do need LOTS of it. (And it's not like it is now, where you can farm revered in a couple hours)
Uh and Tidal is bis no matter what class u play, it's THE best pvp trinket in the game. Itll be hard to farm on classic but LH/elysium is os so its standard knowledge that he respawn 50 hrs after kill
Large net rope does NOT drop in game any longer! I been farming murloc netters in westfall for an hour--killed around 300 and not one dropped! on the classicDB site a user made a post claiming that blizz removed them from game in 2.01 and backed his claim w/ blue posts. so ya that sucks
