7 VITAL LESSONS TO LEARN FROM NORWAY 🇳🇴 Why Norwegians are Very Happy People?

This life is all about the lessons, isn’t it? I want to share with you 7 major lessons I learned during 2 years of living in this wonderful country - NORWAY 🇳🇴
⏱⏱⏱ TIME CODES:
00:00 - WELCOME to NORWAY 🇳🇴 & Let’s Go Hiking
01:25 1️⃣ There’s No Such Thing As BAD WEATHER - ONLY BAD CLOTHING
03:00 2️⃣ EVERY WEATHER IS GREAT IN NORWAY 🇳🇴 Even Norwegian Winter Is Fantastic
05:41 3️⃣ When You Work - WORK! No Distractions
07:09 4️⃣ Recycling in Norway 🇳🇴
09:20 5️⃣ Alcohol in Norway 🇳🇴 How Expensive to Buy Alcohol in Norway?
11:26 6️⃣ You Don’t Need to Have Lots of Things to Be Happy
13:02 7️⃣ You Don’t Need Much To Be Happy. Being Happy = Being Simple
✅ there’s no such thing as a bad weather only bad clothing - Norwegian saying 😉
From an early age Norwegians soon learn how to dress appropriately. Grasping the concept of layering is just as important as learning to count.
1. Layers - when you truly understand the art of layering your clothes you’ll be truly unstoppable. No matter what sort of weather is outside
2. Invest in decent set of winter clothes which includes winter shoes, wind and waterproof trousers and jacket. I would also add here hat, neckwarmer and the gloves - but those are minor details.
✅ EVERY WEATHER IS GREAT AND EVEN WINTER CAN BE FANTASTIC in Norway 🇳🇴
Norway showed me that winter can be so much fun! Especially if your clothes are right.
You can do snow shoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, riding snow mobile, chase the northern lights.
Summer time we have endless hiking, fishing, swimming in the lakes
✅ 3 - WHEN YOU WORK - WORK 🇳🇴
Norwegians leave the office quite early but don’t forget they coming there at around 7:30 - 8am.
At 7:40 you are already chatting with your Norwegian colleagues around that coffee machine in the office!
And the real magic happens at 8am.
Starting from 8am to 4pm - Norwegians tend to switch off their personal phones and concentrate only on their work.
That’s why Norwegians leave the office earlier than the rest of Europe.
And what’s more important - that’s how they make their tasks complete on time with no stress.
✅ 4 - RECYCLING in Norway 🇳🇴
Up to 92% of the bottles recycled hold such high-quality material, that it can be re-used again in drink bottles, sometimes more than 50 times. This is an incredible achievement, considering 91% of plastic produced worldwide isn’t recycled, and eight million metric tons of wind up in the sea every year. For example, in the UK, the recycling rate for plastic bottles is anywhere between 20% to 25%, and in the US, it’s about 30%.
Without a financial incentive, consumers and companies have no motivation to do the right thing for the environment, which is why Norway has given recycling value.
How does the scheme work? Norway’s model is formed on a loan scheme, where the plastic bottle consumers purchase does not belong to them; they are only borrowing it. When a consumer buys a bottle, they are charged a small fee of about 13 to 30 US cents, depending on the size.
✅ 5 - LIFE WITHOUT ALCOHOL in Norway 🇳🇴
Norway has its gorgeous nature! Fascinating fiords, endless forests, crystal clear lakes.. adorable fisherman villages.. Northern lights winter time at the end of the day! Go and explore it, go out and enjoy the nature!
While you are in Norway do as Norwegians do - fill your flask with a filter coffee, lake a few quick lunches with you and go enjoy the nature!
✅ 6 - YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE LOTS OF THINGS - like clothes and shoes in life to be happy.
In Norway I realised that shopping doesn’t have to do anything with stress release.
If you feel that you are getting stressed - get out and get some fresh air.
More stress - longer hours outdoors. And this really helps.
✅ 7 - YOU DON’T NEED MUCH TO BE HAPPY
Your health is the key and the main reason to be happy.
Being able waking up in the morning without coughing, without feeling any pain. Being able to breathe flawlessly, feeling tastes and smells of life, having fresh air outside your window and being blessed with a clean water to drink - that’s a real happiness.

I've learned that time does not exist for your intuition (yes, I developed my intuition, because men do not use to develop it, while women usually have it naturally), especially in the last two years with pandemic --then I was able to see that if you have a mission, it will be accomplished anyway (I'm 71 years old). I liked so much this publication of yours, Anna Goldman. Please keep releasing.

@@AnnaGoldmanTravel For sure! Hey on a side note, I speak english, but also had French and German in my family, so I can get by in them, I like languages a lot. I've noticed how well you do in other Languages, Russian intrigues me, but I gotta tell ya, it's a scary language for English speakers because everything's flipped upside down and around for us, plus there's backwards letters, and even signs we've never ever seen before!!! An immediate wall goes up for me and I think Russians must be super intelligent more than the rest of us, to be able to understand it all !!! Like WHOA! LOL, any suggestions of how I can get over my fear of the Rusky Lingo! LOL, any Internet Sites you like?? I do know one word!! Thank You Tovarich! ( seems silly but when I pronounce Russian, it rolls off the lips easily and feels good!, as if the word feels to say, what it is describing, you know what I mean?) Cheers, Jim.

I do not by a lot of things anymore like, I used to when I was younger. Most of my money goes to food, rent, and education. I would rather use money to have experiences or learn a skill than a bunch of stuff.
@AnnaGoldmanTravel
@AnnaGoldmanTravel 2 года назад
Exactly!! I’m totally with you here ☺️ At some point I started separating things to buy into: investments and costs. Education, good food, travel - it’s all investment. High heels shoes I don’t even touch for years or 5th handbag - definitely cost 🙂
@bobbieboothroyd8531
@bobbieboothroyd8531 2 года назад
Nine times Out of ten I end up talking myself out of buying things because I ask myself these questions do I need it will I use it and is it worth the money. at which point I end up putting my wallet away. Where I am we have mountains and the amount of times the Helicopter as had to have gone out to rescue someone because they have just gone with their T Shirt and saddles is uncountable. the thing is if its hot and sunny at sea level they think its going to be the same up in the Hills but the weather can change so fast. and the last thing you spoke is being out in the open when I used to have a bad day in the office as soon as I got out the fresh air would take away that stress like a heavy coat. I do tend to have the same clothes because my coats are practical I like a coat with plenty of pockets as well as being warm. and water proof its nice to see a girl who isn't silly with her money. have a great week and stay safe thank you for the video
@AnnaGoldmanTravel
@AnnaGoldmanTravel 2 года назад
Aww thank you so much Bobbie 🤗🤗 Exactly, you need to understand exactly what you are getting, is this an investment or just a cost 😉 Will this build your skills, improve your knowledge and your life in general (like education or travel) or it’s just a cost (like 5th pair of shoes you’ll wear a few times because it’s just fashionable but not practical) But it comes with some experience I believe 🙂 when you come to the point that you don’t need to impress anyone with the way you look. Actions impressive, not dresses. Gosh. Poor people.. I know that it’s their own fault but it’s really dangerous to climb up wearing wrong gear ..

In English: Concerning working effectively. Norwegians have a free bonus in their language. it is more effective than many other languages. It takes shorter time to say, write and read a given amount of text. In Norwegian: Vedrørende å arbeide effektivt. Nordmenn har en gratisbonus i språket deres. Det er mer effektivt enn mange andre språk. Det tar kortere tid å si, skrive og lese en gitt mengde tekst. In German language would the same text take even more space than what the English version would do. There exists claims that Germans are so effective ....well.... they waste a lot of that on a complicated language - it takes a lot of space and time. Norwegian language use 15 - 20% less space than what the German language would do. So If a Norwegian and a German secretary should spend their working day on writing a given, and same, text in each of their languages .....well then the Norwegian could probably finish and go home one hour earlier ( then the German) every day. So when some foreigners say that Norway is rich just because of oil and gas, then the Norwegian could say ....nnnaaaaahhh .... it is because we have a more effective language than many others. Look at English. How much of your life would you use on writing and saying the word "the". ....a year of your lifte...???? What about all these th, ht, ou, ea , ie ...(...and so on...) in words. It takes place and time. In the Norwegian language they have added three extra letters (æ, ø, å) in order to avoid some cases were elsehow one must use several letters to describe a certain sound. You can have a look at the manual or product description, when buying a product in the shop. Norwegian, Swedish and Danish would have the shorter description. English would be in the middle and German the longer. It's often not a direct translation from one language to another, but it gives you a good hint. How would it compare with writing the same in Russian?
@AnnaGoldmanTravel
@AnnaGoldmanTravel 2 года назад
🤩🤩🤩 wow! What a comment! Thank you Dan 🤗 Well .. 1 sentence in English usually takes 3 paragraph in Russian 🤣🤣 way to many objectives to describe one subject when you speak Russian. It took me years to learn how to get straight to the point 😉 I bet you understand that such change happened in England

@@AnnaGoldmanTravel So now you have to learn Norwegian in order to become even more effective..... But then people would probably come to you and say: Anna why don't you say anything .....have you become shy and introvert...??? Then you would say: no, no not at all. I have just become effective. I said all what I need and use to say ...but in Norwegian .... I just needed a couple of days shorter time than before to say the same.......haha....
