@@ayyye9459 well how could he forget his teammates when High School was his last team he played on before going to the Lakers. Off course he would remember them. 🙈
This was a great interaction. The way Kobe responded was so natural, humble, no ego nothing. Just two old high school buddies catching up. Nicely done.
Yeah man I feel this. Kobe never let him being one of the best to ever do it get in the way of little things. Remember this kind of shit shows the kind of person you are and how much you actually care about each and every teammate. God bless him man, he’s restin peacefully, and will always be remembered.
LOL this guy is actually hilarious, And you can tell Kobe loved seeing him again, so many memories probably flooded his brain when he saw his 1 from HS 😂 Rest In Peace Kobe !!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
facts he was probably making kobe laugh all the time back in highschool, it seemed like they were genuine friends back then and not just teammates, RIP to the Goat, Kobe Bean Bryant
You could tell how genuinely happy Kobe was to talk to Evan at the end of the video. Evan was rightfully shell shocked but kob was just tryna make his old friend comfortable
This is great cause you can kind of see Kobe drop some of his shields when around Evan, that’s how it is when you see people from the past, just having a good time
Its funny because the interview is partially awkward but not like a “ im awkward because im talking to kobe” but an “ im awkward because im talking to a person from high school years later”
Ya man it's always like that at the start but like you let them talk for abit without the cameras too youd get some non awkward convo. I find it's always so easy to talk with someone you've made memories with from your past even when you haven't seen them in years. Childhood memories stay forever man
He recognized him and smiled. A deep, huge, nostalgic smile. Even took the time to keep the interaction goin and remembered him. Bruh…I could cry. The Mamba is a stand up guy. I miss his presence😢❤️💪🏾
I love seeing Kobe being candid and natural. You really see how well he took care of himself when you see how the rest of his high school classmates have aged.
For sure a pro athlete of his calibre took great care of his body and random corporate dudes not so much but let's not kid ourselves there's definitely some black don't crack going on there lol
See how vested Kobe was in him at the end. Not playing to the camera, not trivializing it, paying attention, looking him in the eye and giving him time. Class. RIP.
This just shows us the dude Kobe was... All those reporters Evan mentioned Stephan A, David Aldridge and he went to his old high school buddy first.. It wasn’t even an interview it was just two high school boys catching up. RIP Kobe, Gianna, and the 7 others. Sorry for your loss Evan, we are all hurting
@@BaldMancTwat right. But when you don't mention the 7 others, people think there's something wrong with you then as well. There's no winning. People just gotta stfu and quit crying when someone says RIP
@RU-vid is highkey garbage very local. 700 level show (name played off of Vet stadium 700 level) was on comcast sports net philly. i don't think it's around anymore though since CSN has shaken up their team of reporters/hosts within recent years.
@@StanleyKubick1 some are also probably employees at comcast sports/spectacor complex. idk about all of em having season tix since they're there for kobe technically, not the sixers. this was a very specific event which kinda required them to invite some old hs teammates since they gave kobe his lower merion jersey.
Man it's crazy how they're talking about Kobe being old now and in reality he never got a chance to really get old 🥺 As great as he was on the court his off the court personality is what shined brightest imo RIP Kobe we truly miss you 💔
I guarantee that kobe stole them and he admitted to it on camera like the good dude he is and they cut it from the video to keep his good name clean. Otherwise I cant really see him not putting the question/answer in the video. Just my theory but I'd bet I'm right lol
The fact Kobe remembers he played with a cast you could see how happy he was to remember that. Kobe was simply a special person and may him and everyone rest in peace
Kobe's memory.....within seconds remembered his name, basketball style, the time he had a cast and never fell out of rhythm. There will never be another....
It’s cool to see he didn’t forget where he came from. There’s probably a lot of celebrities who think they’re better than the people they were friends with before
The thing I picked up from this video is that we are all gonna miss our lively high school days spent with our old high school buddies and grow old someday and reflect on those precious memories as you get to your 20s and 30s. Just turned 20 last month and I'm already somehow feeling sadly nostalgic thinking about those days
Was at Lower Merion High School this morning, they have a memorial set up outside your gym. You would've been proud. The outpouring of love, not just from Kobe or Lakers fans, but people from all walks of life, from all over the world, so many are just completely devastated. It's an empty feeling, like part of me is gone. Nothing anyone can say or do that's gonna make the pain go away. It's not fair, that in the blink of an eye you and you precious little girl Gigi are gone. In 2001 I remember you said to the city of Philadelphia that you're gonna "rip our hearts out." It took 19 years, but it happened. *RIP Legend!*
This was awesome to watch! Kobe not forgetting where he started and who he played with! Some famous people tend to forget all those people before he was famous
IDK Maan! It's just something about H.S teammates or friends; they're ya boys you know. Friends that hold a special place in your heart no matter who you meet later on in life. Seeing them again kinda put you in a place where you remember the good times growing up as kids. Those guys must hurt more than any of his fans because they were there with him from the beginning.
@Armando Figueroa man I'm not sure if you graduate a long time ago or joking but now a days atlest in my school everyone a sports guy and a "nerd" hell even in the park you can meet some baller nerds
When dude said we're really proud of you, you can see the humbleness from both of them. Both really meant it, like if they were kids again on that court. Cool to see that quick reunion between them and those who went to school with Kobe that went to watch him play.
@@ryanb-c6932 I think Kobe would have done terrible placed in Iverson's situation as a Sixer. Iverson carried the Sixers. Kobe had the shoulders of Shaq to help him. It all worked out for the better.
@@eightysbaby8798 Nah I disagree. Shaq said he would take it easy at times because he knew Kobe was working 8 - 10 hours a day. Iverson won't even talk about practice
