Compare it to VIOFO A129 Pro Duo 4K, THINKWARE U1000 4K and Blackvue DR900S-2CH 4K. Which one do u think is the best? Does this A800 has advanced buffering parking mode? time lapse configuration? Motion detection activated parking mode? Is it extreme heat resistant? Does it have Filter available to avoid dashboard reflection? How is the reliablitiy of it's battery?

In case you want to remove it, the adhesive will not damage your windscreen tint (if you install one) and also won't leave any residue from the adhesive

@@racingsportscars7023 the loop record would capture about 3 to 5 hours depending on your memory card size. If you are involved in an accident *touch wood*, I recommend you retrieve the footage immediately through your phone or stop the recording after 10 minutes of the accident.

But I also thought of another, and way more probably, use: When the car is parked and somebody damages that (other car, or intentional vandalism). I can find it out much later than in 5 hours since it had happened. Is it possible to store the records automatically somewhere on web, to be able to retrieve videos from much longer period of time? Or if the car was stolen, I would not have access to it at all, but I would like to view the recorded video which had been made before the car was accessed by a robber. Can you get my point, my main motivation I would think of having some cam like this? Can you suggest any other front-rear cam solution, which would store the data in the cloud or so, for several days, or for the sufficient time span I could set myself?

@Racing Sports Cars the A800/A800s support parking mode where it would start to record when there are impact to your vehicle. Once you enter your car, it will notify you there's a recording made. Hardwire is required for this feature to function. Still, there are some flaws like it would only be activated with certain impacts or sensitivity. Key scratching,I don't think it will be able to pick up.

I'm not too understand your question. It only has 2 cameras that record front and rear. Record in 4K not playable on your smartphone? Probably because of the incompatible codec. Look for H.265 codec player for your device.

You can power it with the cigarette charger, which wouldn't affect your car's warranty.

Maybe you can try to replace a different memory card. Poor memory could lead to such a problem

It can't be used as a reverser camera. It's a dashcam with rear recording capability.

H.265 would requires MX Players, you may Google and see which players works best

You only need 1 for the main dashcam. The main dashcam will feed power to the rear camera.

The AV/ in cable provide data and power. So all you need just 1 cable to enable the rear camera

I would recommend so as it's a trusted brand. It might release to the mass market but would be later after the Indiegogo release. There's gonna be shipment charges

I'm not too sure the 800s are using the same camera sensor. Check the recording quality is set to 4K for the recording. Additional, check any new firmware update as it does improve over new software

Thanks Joshua Wong. I had replaced the battery a day ago searching some help thru some RU-vid post. However, after a couple of hours using the cam, it just suddenly stopped. I let it rest for a couple of hours and restarted it. The indicator turns red, meaning the battery lose power and it is not charging. Do you have an idea why? Do I need to replace the battery again? Well, mine records front camera in 4K and rear in 1080p

The rear camera work alongside the main camera as the recording dump into the main camera.

It doesn't rotate, instead, you can install the rear camera inside to record cabin situation

Record together? As in videos (front and rear) lapping on the video? Sorry, it was edited to show to video together. It should record both concurrently on a different folder. You may want to check the recorded footage in your memory card.

Yes you can, but do expect delays if you are previewing it from your tablet/smartphone

Voice command has removed. You can't preview the rear recording through the app. You can only switch the view on the dashcam itself

A800 doesn't support driving route, I doubt the A800s does too. As far as I know, only the A500s support that. It use the 70mai to view the route travelled.

You are absolutely right, when in dual recording, the front camera only record in 2K and rear at Full HD. The AV/IN cable length is about 6 meters long

Near the end of the video some skipping in the recording can be seen, what is the reason for it - the hardware, card issues or post production? Also, what is the reason for the 5 s de-sync between the front and the back video? Clearly the back recording is ahead. Thank you!

@@DTCBG The skipping footage due to pre-production software. it has ironed up, check my latest video. As for the non synced front and rear video due to poor editing. Sorry about that! The dashcam doesn't do PIP. Hope this clarified!

Hello, first of all: Thanks to this great and clear video, I’ve decided to purchase the 70mai A800S, so thanks a lot for your effort! :) Second: I experience the same issue where downloaded footage does not show in my iPhone’s photo/video album. The firmware is up to date according to the app. The only message I get is that the video has been successfully saved to the APP, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Any advice? Thank you! Edit: Found it! From the home screen (before connecting to the device), click your user icon in the top left. After downloading footage, it should be stored in ‘Local Album’ in the left menu. From there I could export them to my iPhone. Hope this helps for other iPhone users as well!

If just recording front it would record up to 4K. If you attached the rear camera, the front recording can only go up to 2,560 x 1,600 where the rear camera record at 1,920 x 1,080

You would need to hardwire it. I just installed my Garmin mini using a hardwire kit with the fuse box. Really simple. If you use the cigarette fuse like in this video you'll drain the battery.

Thanks for highlighting this. Actually my intention is to show high resolution would able to show sharper details like what you can see on the 5x zoom. The reason I use 1,080P for comparison because Full HD is a more standard/common dashcam recording resolution. Personally I find the 70mai A800 sensor much sensitive and brighter compared to the 70mai Pro. As for the rear camera it only shoot Full HD and has smaller sensor compare to 70mai Pro/A800
