I drive the RV to Amarillo Tx to try the 72oz steak challenge! Thank you for watching! If you would like to support the channel more you can become a patron at / sailingdoodles
You are a brave person to take on the challenge. We stopped a few years ago and a trucker polished off the challenge in 38 minutes and then ordered a desert which he ate. Incredible! I figured he was part bovine with 2 stomachs...lol! Thank you for sharing!
Hey Bobby, really enjoying your newest channel. Good thing you emptied the crapper system on the RV, the repercussions of a large meal could have been catastrophic on a full toilet. :)
I was there in 1997 did the challenge with a friend of mine. I did it in 55 min and he did it in 20min, and then ate a side of fries and strawberry shortcake waiting for me to finish.
Glad you took the challenge YOLO. I just discovered a channel called Beardmeetsfood and that dude is a food challenge savant. I just knew from watching you that you couldn't do it because there is a special prep and style these dudes have. It really IS A PRO SPORT! Good on you for trying though.
72oz steak. Yeah they have that in Portland OR too. hahaha in Portland, it is the steak, a glass of tomato juice and a small salad. If you can eat it all and it is free.
Dude! That was AWESOME. Glad you got a cool T-Shirt. As a Medical Professional, just a little worried about you doing red meat eating challenges (or red meat in general) with a Stroke history. Please be safe and take care of yourself!
Next time when you do a steak challenge mix it up. Try 10 bites of steak. 1 bite salad. 1 bite potato, 1 bite shrimp, then go back to 10 bites of steak repeat, etc.........Might do better with some cheerleaders like Megan, Taylor and Gerdardine too.
Holy mole. Was just there In our RV. Our sone a while back tried it and failed. We stopped on our way back to California. Watched two guys both finish the steaks. Amazing. We had a filet each and they were remarkable. Great stop everyone
I just got home from TX today (9/19/21) We were in Ft Worth, Killeen, South Padre Island, San Antonio and San Marcos. What a trip! Thanks for the video!
On your way back might swing by Albuquerque ride the cable tram to the top of the mountain and try their restaurant and lounge. If there is still snow you can ski down the opposite side.
Bobby , I once said if you ever came through Amarillo I would buy you steak dinner. I didn't mean that one. Back in my 30s I tried to eat that thing , It took three tries. Over a few years. But I finally finished it.
You actually did pretty good on the steak. I'm afraid I wouldn't even try it that's way too much for me. Kudos to you for giving it a good try. Stay well and happy 🚌
I won that challenge in San Antonio when I was 32 you have to wolf it down fast before your belly knows its getting full I finished the steak in 43min then had to finish the rest dropped the fork with 1min to spare then I went to the truck to sleep it off LOL.
Bobby, the next video following this was a 125 pound girl/young woman who did the steak challenge and won. She ate it all in 40 minutes and a few seconds. Amazing!
Bobby you really need to take in the Palo Duro Canyon and the history of Texas at Goodnight Texas. This man was one of the Cattle Barons of the west and was the inventor of the Chuck Wagon. My grandfather actually worked for Charles Goodnight and went on one of the last real Cattle Drives. That area is full of history.
Ivebeen there any times they have great bbq there never tried the challenge I know I can't eat that much steak I do love the drive from socal on the 40 and the 10 around this beautiful country I've took my RV coast to coast twice and been all over this beautiful country I highly recommend Yosemite it's breathtaking the first time you see it fun vlog great try loved it
Man, it looks like a really good steak, in any case. I mean, it looks really good. I could not do that challenge, but I think I would very much enjoy one of their regular sized steaks.
If you can hit the Palo Duro Canyon area, you won't be disappointed. :) We hauled some horses from our ranch south of Fort Worth to Amarillo, and stayed in a B&B in Canyon. Palo Duro was fun!
bobby sanitary sewer safety, use a container to store hose, use rubber gloves, wash your hand then use hand wipes. dont lick your finger ot bite your nails afterward.
in my younger days Bobby i would have demolished that steak ..great try bro ..I would try for the host of this show ..my luck dont work like that ..you're a ROCK ⭐
Bobby, was wondering why you didn't go 287 north to 70 west into Denver.Kind a looks like you went the long way around saying that you went thru Pueblo.I'm a retired truck driver that lived in Colorado for over 10 years.Safe travel my friend!
Nice try Bobby.... When I was much much younger, I managed to WIN a similar challenge in a restaurant located on Vancouver Island. My prizes were my meal was free, I was given a medal and a Tshirt stating I was now officially a "GLUTTON". In adition to that, they also gave me a whole new full size steak which (of course) I took with me in a doggie bag. The most memorable part of it all though was my then wife who was seriously therefore hilariously NOT impressed with my public "performance". LOL
There is a lot to see around Amarillo if one will go see it! There might not be a lot of dense brush and lack of privacy if that is what you are looking to see.
Fun channel..fun video... A bit harder to build up the subscribers, when you missing a couple of elements from your "magic formula". But I'll keep watching & liking to support the channel.
Good attempt on the steak !! That's practically a whole cow. I'm not sure about in the USA. but in Canada, Walmart allows RV's and semi trucks to camp out in the far sides of their parking lot. It kinda promotes sales. But in a pinch you might be able to do that
Question Bobby. Have you had any issues with sites asking the age of your RV? My wife and I are contemplating a used RV for a few long weekends. Don't want to go into deep debt for a new one, so we will try to find a gently used older one, but some folks have said that some sites won't let you in. ???
The record for the shortest time to finish the entire 72oz steak challenge had been held by competitive eating champion Joey Chestnut (at 8 minutes and 52 seconds)!!! WOW!!! Good Try Bobby!!
