The power of this scene comes from Katniss realizing that she’s going to become one of those two characters in the next few weeks; dead, or alive. The show she’s always been forced to watch since she was a kid is now a reality for her, and everything from here on out will determine whether she lives or she dies.
This is the 73rd games, it’s semi cannon since it’s not mentioned in the book but the movies can technically be considered cannon. In the original hunger games we were supposed to see more of the 73rd hunger games. In early scripts of the first movie we learn that winner is form district 2 and the tribute he’s fighting is from district 10 We also learn that both district 12 tributes die early in this hunger games, and one of them is beheaded. I’d love a book/movie about these games mostly because of the arena and I’m curious with what happened. It’s also a year before Katniss enters the arena and before the rebuking takes over..
@@whytho7930 You should watch Tales of the Hunger Games but Christian Blanco. It keeps close to the original source material and he recently released a video on the 73rd Hunger Games. :)

@@tommyjarvis7805 I can see why you said that. Even in the books and the movie the tributes from 11 are usually of African American descent via Rue, Thresh, Chaff, and Seeder. You're not being racist at all. You're just thinking according to a stereotype
Since the first 10 games had the same arena. I like to think all the contestants planed for that arena for the 11th games then we’re like “uhhhhh fuck me fuck me” when they realized it was different

@@bredaross8289 Yeah because why would he care about someone attaching a name to some rando who appeared for 30 seconds? What's the source for the name and you'll see it isn't in any book or movie, thus it remains an unofficial name. All the internet page have one thing in common; it's pure fanfiction.
