That is correct, some of the Pikes Peak cars are now at the museum.

Then you saw it when it was still at Strasburg. That must be quite a facility.

@@ROKuberski She was actually still in the Roundhouse there in Golden when I saw her, they may have been prepping parts for the move though. Not sure. However, I live about an hour from Strasburg and it is indeed quite an operation they have. They do some of the best work in steam locomotive restoration in the country. The recently expanded their shops because so many people know that and they insist they handle the work over anyone else. They didn't have enough space to handle all the contracted work they recieve, even now they hardly do! Even the Big Boy had its driving wheels sent to Strasburg to be turned.

With the light usage that it will get at the museum, it would not be surprising to see it pulling a train well into the next century.

That signal is not being used now because we have the flashing lights and the drop down gates. As to future repair, I don't have that information.
