@geoffsmith1616 @shaves123 Martin…If you really have taken up the attire generally adorning our lovely estrogen based units (as reported)…Please, please, please pass over the leg shaving videos. 😎
much appreciate the shoutout and feedback on the “preshave”. Gary for sure makes a lovely later. Beautiful audible feedback from the Böker. Feel better soon and best wishes.
Thanks 🙏 Jacques , you and Gary are my litmus test of knowledge and experience, I was so envious of your shave with the Trevor razor 😜 , now I want one 😂🤣.
That is a stunning razor Martin. The Master Cutter series is truly amazing. I have wanted a Damascus steel razor for a long time. How is the quality of the steel on these?
Also I wonder if boker set the edge on a slight convex first step i wouldn't be surprised if they do just like ti and Dovo . Interesting to no what stones they finish on ?
None of the three böker razor I have came with a concave bevel. Under magnification it looked like they had used a synthetic progression with too much pressure and too large grit jumps. I have also seen a video from the factory, where they finish on a dished 10k super stone.
I got a Böker 6/8 a couple of years back. The factory edge was reasonably serviceable. I marked the edge with a sharpie before I used a stone shaped on the Jarrod plate, long dimension. It immediately showed I was reaching the apex and a small portion back. It seemed to indicate that their first stone was more curvy than mine. I had not started using multiple radius stones at that point. I wish I’d have angled the razor to see how far back I could hit in the bevel. None of which matters to me, I would probably prefer to get new razors unhoned from the factory.
Please do a try to Thier issard damascus. I have also a Boker and I dont like this stuff. Especially handle lose and bevel angle . Also the price is different😂
@@Martins-Shaves123 I am a private like you. Thiers Issard are the only and the best. I tried all. I have Dovo, Boker and many others. I knew all! Dovo are horrible. All came not shave ready! So you must finish to hone!🤑 And if you have not enough experience and skill you will damage! BOker is mediocre especiallyvthe handle. Anyway its acceptable if you are a beginner. Others brands are not ok. Kamisori are very good!
@Zen Razor yes ! Sadly true , most new razors aren't shave ready 😪 😢. It puts new shavers off from experiencing the pleasure of a good straight shave .
@@Martins-Shaves123 My first 320,00€ of Dovo was cut like a triangle from a seller of knives declaring he hones razors!!🤮 The lesson is learn on a razor very economic becausecyou need to damage it to learn!🫡👀
