I’ve often been awake in bed during the very early hours and heard this same tone seemingly coming from nowhere, almost possibly from deep in the earth below me. Like machinery humming. When I was a very young child I heard it much louder at night when everyone was sleeping (and we lived in the middle of the countryside not near anything.) strangely I used to be able to see in the dark when I heard it. Like watching an old black and white television screen when the signal is bad and snowy. And like I said, we lived in the middle of nowhere and not a street light for miles. The sky outside in a moonless night was black, yet I could see the bedroom through the weird static vision. A lot of other people seem to hear this sound too. Apparently it is the resonant frequency of the earth and also know as the shuman resonance.

The earths frequency is actually 7.83hz and yes a few points makes a difference and no.. it cannot be heard just naturally. And it's SCHUMANN Also, you may have experienced visual migraines or you may have issues with your visual processing, you're not "seeing" the SCHUMANN resonance. I actually think everyone can see "snow" just some pay attention where others do not You may just be a bit hypersensitive which isn't a bad thing.

Does anyone here feel like this frequency can make alterations to how we perceive the sound? I feel like my brain can begin clicking into one rhythm of the sound and then suddenly you snap out of what I feel, is a meditative state. And then your suddenly back to the perception of tone in which you originally heard the sound.

8hz is/was considered to be the frequency of the earth..the Schumann resonance..this is fluctuating more than ever before recently, presumably as a result of us humans messing it up with EMF from satellites, cellphones, tv/radio signals etc..such a shame

That's standard I get it every time I listern to pure tones , you can reduce it happening by reducing the volume , the frequency is louder than what the brain perceives and you have to be careful with the lower and higher frequencies as it can damage your hearing with headphones or plug's

@@elfenamazone1590 what you hear is probably the recorded sound tapes being restarted or sticked to each other with a small noise at the end, and so it sounds like a "toc". Just set the playing speed to 0,75 to actually hear what I'm talking about ;)

Are you sure this is 8hz cause we shouldn't be able to hear this as our hearing range is 20hz to 20000hz? I just wanted to listen to 8hz to see if it would mess up my brain cause our brain waves are 8hz themselves.

Your speakers don't need to do 8hz. You can't hear that, anyhow. The carrier wave will always be higher frequency. There's just an 8 hz difference between left and right. Hence "binaural"

the concept of binaural beats is that the difference in hertz between your left ear and right ear is 8hz (or whatever your desired frequency is). it only works with headphones for this reason. your brainwaves will synchronize with the difference in hertz

Humans can only hear sound waves between 20 and 20,000 Hz, but sound waves can still affect us below that threshold.
